Pippa Middleton Does Her Best ‘Baywatch’ Impression in St. Barths

In 2019, having spent Christmas at the exclusive five-star resort Eden Rock in St. Barths, which just so happens to be owned by her husband’s parents, Pippa Middleton hit the beach once more.

Rocking a crescent-print Asceno bikini Duchess Kate’s sister looked as though she was auditioning for a role in Baywatch.

Running into the sea, the mom-of-one looked incredible and proved that escaping dreary England for some fun in the winter sun is the best thing to do (you can see the photo here).

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, didn’t attend the Middleton family vacay, and instead spent Christmas with the royal family at the Sandringham Estate. Kate took two of her children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, to the royal family’s Christmas Day church service for the first time, and the little royals made an adorable joint debut.

The Duchess wore a warm gray coat as she arrived at St. Mary Magdalene, a small village church close to the queen’s Sandringham Estate, on December 25. Kate carried a dark green clutch purse, wore a green hat, and donned a matching pair of heels, which all coordinated with Charlotte’s mini forest-green coat.

PS5’s New VR2 Tech Is Making A Great First Impression

Image: Sony

Sony’s PSVR for PlayStation 4, the first serious VR add-on for a console, did pretty darn well for itself. It was reasonably affordable, well received by players and critics alike, and got a lot more post-launch support than many prior PlayStation hardware efforts (RIP, dear Vita). Now, various outlets have gotten their first hands-on sessions with an early version of Sony’s upcoming PSVR2 for PlayStation 5. The anticipated new VR hardware doesn’t yet have an official price or launch date (just “early 2023”), but based on these impressions, it’s already making waves with critics.

A variety of outlets that got these hands-on demos describe the experience as being on par with presumably more powerful PC VR offerings from Valve or Meta. That said, it’s still going to be on Sony and other developers to create compelling games, and right now the new platform’s only exclusive experiences are a Horizon spin-off and a VR version of last year’s Resident Evil Village. The latter is playable for the first time in VR on Sony’s headset. There’s also a Walking Dead game and a Star Wars VR experience, both ports of prior PC/Quest VR games.

Overall, critics sound impressed, even wowed, by the experience. Among the qualities cited are the overall build quality and comfort, which seem to compete well with already-existing headsets. It’s still tethered, but the cable length sounds suitable enough. The graphical quality and overall “immersion,” in particular, are grabbing a lot of attention. One of the most bleeding edge features is the headset’s eye tracking, which allows the unit to optimize rendering based on where you’re looking, or in the future, lock gazes with other players. There’s also haptic feedback in the headset itself. Polygon notes that both features are used in Horizon, which is the most advanced showcase of the hardware so far.

Basically, it just needs some killer apps, and the quartet of existing demos sound like a solid start. Here are some highlights from each outlet’s hands-on impressions:

“Last week, I tried Sony’s new headset for the first time and was caught off guard by how stunning two of its marquee games, Horizon Call of the Mountain and Resident Evil Village, looked. They didn’t rely on particles or stylized art direction; they looked like AAA console games that just happened to be in VR. The past few years of playing Quest had recalibrated my expectations for how VR games should appear, and it was great to see games pushing forward visually once again without requiring an elaborate setup.”

“But what does it feel like to actually play games on the PSVR2, with all of its new bells and whistles? The actual PSVR2 hardware was a joy to use. Like most modern VR headsets, it lets you adjust the head strap to make sure everything rests comfortably on your noggin, and you can tweak the inter-pupillary distance (IPD) so that the actual lenses inside the headset are the right distance for you. The screens looked great, though things sometimes felt just a little bit hazy at the edges, which could also happen with the first PSVR.”

“Wow. Wow, wow, wow. That’s the word that keeps springing to mind when I try to sum up my time with PlayStation VR2. As a fervent fan of VR for many years now, it’s safe to say that my first hands-on experience with Sony’s upcoming headset wowed my VR-loving socks off. This sleek and stylish unit was all I could have wanted for an upgraded PSVR headset and much, much more.

In terms of technological and visual quality, this feels like one of the more memorable generational console leaps. Experiencing the difference in visuals between the PSVR1 and the PSVR2 brought back memories of graduating to the sparkly, sharp, high-definition games of a PS3 after spending years playing games on the PS2 in standard definition.”

“Sony has touted much higher visual fidelity for PSVR2, which, for the tech-spec obsessed people out there, amounts to an OLED display that offers a resolution of 2000×2040 per eye, HDR, refresh rates of 90Hz and 120Hz, and a 110-degree field of view. This is all impressive on paper, but when you experience it with the headset on, it’s a bit of magic.

The level of detail on display was genuinely overwhelming, mostly because I didn’t expect it from a VR game. I know how dismissive that sounds of all the VR games out there, of which there are certainly more than a few impressive-looking ones. However, there’s a clear line between the way a VR game and a non-VR game look—there’s a level of richness, detail, and polish that separates the two. Horizon Call of the Mountain blurs that line on PSVR2.”

“PlayStation VR2 thankfully feels like a modern entry into the VR landscape, with top-notch visual fidelity and comfortable ergonomics. Its haptics and adaptive triggers, if implemented well, will be a welcome addition to the immersive experience. As with all new pieces of hardware, the question now falls to whether there will be enough games to make the investment worth it. First-party games like Horizon Call of the Mountain certainly help assuage those fears, and while nothing has been announced yet, I would be shocked if the outstanding Half-Life: Alyx didn’t make its way to the platform.”

Dave Chappelle says that before Oscars slap, Will Smith ‘did an impression of a perfect man for 30 years’

Chappelle is in the midst of a joint comedy tour with Chris Rock, who in March was slapped while presenting on stage at the Academy Awards by actor Will Smith.

“A lot of people forget who Will Smith is,” Chappelle said on stage at Liverpool’s M&S Bank Arena, according to British news outlet, The Telegraph. “Then 10 minutes before he was about to get the biggest award… he acted like he was back in Philadelphia.”
Smith won a best actor award for his role as Richard Williams, the father of Venus and Serena Williams, in the film “King Richard.” But his win was overshadowed by his conduct that night, which was condemned by the Academy and earned Smith a 10-year ban from Academy events.

“Will did the impression of a perfect person for 30 years, and he ripped his mask off and showed us he was as ugly as the rest of us,” Chappelle said. “Whatever the consequences are… I hope he doesn’t put his mask back on again, and lets his real face breathe….I see myself in both men.”

A representative for Chappelle confirmed The Telegraph’s reporting. CNN has reached out to representatives for Rock and Smith for comment.

Chappelle made the comments during the first of three shows as part of their UK tour. They have two consecutive dates scheduled this weekend at London’s O2 arena, with additional dates scheduled throughout Europe.

Rock reportedly also addressed the slap, joking that Smith “hit me over a bullsh-t joke, the nicest joke I ever told,” according to The Telegraph and The Times of London.
In July, Smith opened up about the incident in a video posted to Instagram, saying he was “deeply remorseful.”

Jamie Foxx Does Hilarious Donald Trump Impression: Video – Hollywood Life

Jamie Foxx, 54, had all the jokes on the latest episode of the Rap Radar podcast, as he did a perfect impression of Donald Trump, 76! The actor killed the room when he nailed Trump’s voice and even made Snoop Dogg, 50, laugh during the hilarious interview on August 25. And his impression was so accurate that podcast hosts Elliott Wilson and Brian ‘B.Dot’ Miller were also dying from laughter!

The Day Shift actor did some of Donald’s most famous hand gestures and facial expressions while also adding some of his own exaggerated commentaries. “I love Snoop D O Double G, great person,” Jamie joked before adding, “I love Death Row Records” — a reference to the iconic rap record label Snoop purchased back in February.

On the podcast, Jamie also mimicked Trump’s voice to deliver one of his most famous lines: “Excuse me, fake news!” He also joked, “They tried to give me the virus!”, which seemed to be a reference to when Trump had COVID-19 in October 2020. Following that comment, Jamie went on to ask “Who is ‘they’?”, before laughing at himself.

Jamie’s impression was so spot on that many people commented on Elliott’s tweet with the clip to say how talented the actor is. One user wrote, “This the best Trump impression I’ve ever heard tho, Jamie is talented.” And we couldn’t agree more! Another user chimed in and said, “It’s unbelievable. It’s the best impression of Trump EVER… and he does it so effortlessly. What a talented man he is.”

Jamie is certainly talented, but we must not forget that he is not the first person to do a spot-on impression of the former US president. Many comedians have done a pretty good job at it in the past. In fact, one of the most iconic Trump impressions from the past several years was done by Alec Baldwin in various Saturday Night Live skits. Still, Jamie’s own impression will now go down as one of the most memorable.

Nicki Minaj shows off her incredible Adele impression in James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke

Nicki Minaj responded to Adele’s iconic rendition of her Monster rap as she had her turn on James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke on Wednesday night’s The Late Late Show.

The US rapper heralded the return of the hugely popular segment – becoming the first star guest in James’ passenger seat in two years, and first on the agenda was Nicki’s incredible impression of Adele.

Breaking out her British accent, Nicki poked fun at Adele’s ‘viral moments’ before responding to the singer’s Carpool Karaoke rendition of her track by belting out Someone Like You.

Iconic: Nicki Minaj responded to Adele’s iconic rendition of her Monster rap as she had her turn on James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke on Thursday night’s The Late Late Show

As Nicki slipped into her British accent, James asked her ‘where that comes from?’ pointing out ‘you know you just sound like Adele?’

Poking fun at Adele’s February appearance at an NBA All-Star game, Nicki said in her British accent: ‘I know! I go viral for basically anything. I sit down at the basketball game and I do one of these. I don’t look at the camera. People pay for these sort of viral moments, you know what I mean?!’

The hitmaker then shared her thoughts on Adele’s Carpool Karaoke appearance in 2016 which saw her perform a perfect rendition of Nicki’s hit Monster.

Nicki told James that it made her ‘so happy’ to hear a different style of music from the songstress, gushing: ‘She embodied Nicki Minaj. She’s singing these sad songs so you don’t expect it from her from.’

It’s back! The US rapper heralded the return of the hugely popular segment – the first star guest in James’ passenger seat in two years and first on the agenda was Nicki’s incredible impression of Adele

Nicki went on to perform an acapella version of Adele’s 2011 hit Someone Like You, belting out the high notes before later performing renditions of her own songs, including Blick Blick, Super Bass, Anaconda, Do We Have A Problem and Starships.

Later, Nicki opened up about her battle with anxiety, explaining that she is constantly chewing on ice because ‘it’s like an anxiety ball, a stress ball. Every time I’m biting the ice it’s taking out the anxiety.’

‘I think when I was younger, probably my more natural state was to be more confident,’ she explained. ‘But I think when you are a woman and you’re in the public eye all the time, if you’re not careful, you can become less confident because you’re being constantly scrutinized’.

‘It’s not natural for a human being to just always feel like everyone’s critiquing them.’

She explained that she had ‘an amazing sense of freedom’ when she first started out in the industry because ‘nobody gave a f**k about what I was doing, I could get away with doing anything.’

‘It goes from that to the complete, complete opposite where if I blink my eye wrong, they’ll have a story made up about why I blinked my eye that way,’ she said.

James asked her how she protects herself from that, and she revealed: ‘Whenever I am off of social media and I take that sh*t off my phone, I have this enormous sense of peace. And then you realise what really matters.’

Back in the day: She explained that she had ‘an amazing sense of freedom’ when she first started out in the industry because ‘nobody gave a f**k about what I was doing, I could get away with doing anything’

‘You’re like, “Who cares?” ‘ Minaj said, later adding that having her son played a ‘huge part’ in her sense of peace. ‘When I look at my son, I’m like just magically in love. He just makes me laugh, makes me smile, makes me happy. Like, he’s just so cute and cuddly.’

The star, who has rarely spoken about her son in interviews since she gave birth in 2020, also admitted she raps and sings and ‘makes up melodies for him all day.’

James also get a lesson in Minaj terminology as she attempted to explain that ‘ops’ means ‘opposition’. She said: ‘If y’all got beef with James, I’m gonna let y’all know right now we popping up! We poppin’ ops! James if you’re gonna hang out with me, you gotta at least know the lingo! Ops means opposition! We gonna make it blick, blick!’

She also labelled James’ attempt at beatboxing not a complete fail, quipping: ‘On the white scale, that wasn’t that white,’ before showing off her clarinet skills.

Her own world: James asked her how she protects herself from that, and she revealed: ‘Whenever I am off of social media and I take that sh*t off my phone, I have this enormous sense of peace. And then you realise what really matters’
