Grimes reveals secret birth of second baby with Elon Musk: ‘I’m not at liberty to speak on these things’

Grimes has revealed, seemingly accidentally, that she has welcomed her second child with Elon Musk.

In a new interview, the musician invited writer Devin Gordon to her home in Austin, Texas.

When the journalist heard a baby cry, they asked if Grimes had another child apart from the one-year-old son, named X Æ A-12, she shares with the tech billionaire.

“I’m not at liberty to speak on these things,” Grimes, real name Claire Elise Boucher, told Vanity Fair in response. “Whatever is going on with family stuff, I just feel like kids need to stay out of it, and X is just out there.

“I mean, I think E is really seeing him as a protégé and bringing him to everything and stuff… X is out there. His situation is like that. But, yeah, I don’t know.”

She then admitted that she and Musk recently welcomed a baby girl, Exa Dark Sideræl Musk, who was born via a surrogate. The couple have nicknamed the baby “Y”.

Grimes said her new baby girl is “colicky” and so was more likely than usual to be crying. “I don’t know what I was thinking,” she said of her decision to invite a journalist to her house.

It had been reported in September last year that Grimes and Musk had split up, but speaking about their relationship, Grimes told the publication: “There’s no real word for it. I would probably refer to him as my boyfriend, but we’re very fluid.”

She added: “We live in separate houses. We’re best friends. We see each other all the time… We just have our own thing going on, and I don’t expect other people to understand it…

“This is the best it’s ever been…. We just need to be free…We’ve always wanted at least three or four [children].”

Following reports of her split from Musk, Grimes was photographed in October reading Karl Marx’s The Communist Manifesto.

Responding to fans who joked that she had returned to her “communist roots”, the artist said she had been “trolling” people with the pictures after becoming “really stressed” by photographers following her.

“Paparazzi followed me to a shoot so I tried to think what I could do that would yield the most Onion-ish possible headline and it worked,” she tweeted at the time.

Grimes and Elon Musk break up again after welcoming second child

It’s tough keeping up with the Musks.

Hours after news broke that Grimes and Elon Musk secretly rekindled their romance and welcomed a second child via surrogate, the “Oblivion” singer revealed that she and the Tesla founder have split again.

“Me and E have broken up *again* since the writing of this article haha, but he’s my best friend and the love of my life, and my life and art are forever dedicated to The Mission now,” Grimes tweeted Thursday.

“I think Devin wrote that part of the story rly well. Sique – peace out.”

In her Vanity Fair cover story, Grimes said the surrogate gave birth to their daughter, Exa Dark Sideræl, in December after she and Musk had gotten back together in some capacity.

“I would probably refer to him as my boyfriend, but we’re very fluid. We live in separate houses. We’re best friends. We see each other all the time. … We just have our own thing going on, and I don’t expect other people to understand it,” she explained to the publication.

“This is the best it’s ever been,” she said of their happiness. “We just need to be free.”

Despite being broken up, it appears Musk, 50, and Grimes, 33, still have plans to expand their family, as she said they’ve “always wanted at least three or four” children together.

The couple are already parents to son X Æ A-XII. Musk is also a father to twins Griffin and Xavier, 18, and triplets Damian, Saxon and Kai, 16, from a previous marriage to author Justine Wilson.

Grimes And Elon Musk Welcomed A Baby Girl Named Y

It turns out Grimes is actually a mom of two. The singer revealed that she welcomed a second child through surrogacy with Tesla’s Elon Musk in an interview out today.

Grimes and Elon’s first baby X — short for X Æ A-12 — was born almost two years ago, in May of 2020. She didn’t give too many details about their daughter’s birth in a new interview with Vanity Fair, but said she entered the world recently.

She also shared the infant’s name. “Her full name is Exa Dark Sideræl Musk,” Grimes said. They call her Y.

“Exa” is a nod to exaFLOPS, a supercomputing term that refers to systems that can calculate “one quintillion floating point operations per second.” Dark, Grimes explained, references “the unknown.”

“People fear it but truly it’s the absence of photons,” she said. “Dark matter is the beautiful mystery of our universe.”

Grimes and Elon’s relationship dates back to early 2018, when they met on Twitter thanks to their mutual appreciation for jokes about AI, according to Page Six.

The SpaceX founder said last fall that he and Grimes were “semi-separated,” in response to rumors they’d broken up. She went on to release a song that some people interpreted as confirmation of the split, which Grimes confirmed in her comments to Vanity Fair, wasn’t the case.

As far as their current relationship status, Grimes said “there’s no real word for it.” She’d “probably refer to him as [her] boyfriend, but [they’re] very fluid.”

“We live in separate houses. We’re best friends. We see each other all the time … We just have our own thing going on, and I don’t expect other people to understand it,” she continued, noting that their partnership is “the best it’s ever been” right now. Grimes and Elon plan to have more children, as they’ve “always wanted at least three or four.”

Anyway, congrats to these two!

Elon Musk and Grimes secretly welcome second child

Elon Musk and Grimes’ family has grown.

The “Genesis” singer was forced to reveal in her Vanity Fair cover story published Thursday that she and the Tesla mogul secretly welcomed a baby girl after her daughter began wailing from upstairs.

“She’s a little colicky too,” Grimes said after the reporter asked what was going on, as the musician noted her first child, X Æ A-XII, was with his father.

“I don’t know. I don’t know what I was thinking,” she told the magazine of trying to conceal the baby.

Grimes, 34, revealed their daughter’s name is Exa Dark Sideræl but they call her Y, which is fitting considering her older brother is referred to as X.

Y was born in December 2021 via surrogate — a few months after she and the tech mogul had broken up after three years together. Now, the pair are back together in some sort of capacity.

“This is the best it’s ever been,” she said of their happiness. “We just need to be free.”

The on-again couple hope to expand their family even more, telling Vanity Fair that they have “always wanted at least three or four” children together.

The on-again couple are also parents to son X Æ A-Xii.

Musk, 50, was previously married to author Justine Wilson, with whom he has five sons: twins Griffin and Xavier, 17, and triplets Damian, Saxon and Kai, 16.

He was also married — twice — to “Westworld” actress Talulah Riley. They first wed in 2010 but divorced in 2012. They reconciled and remarried in 2013 but divorced again in 2016.

The billionaire also dated Amber Heard from 2017 to 2018 following her ill-fated marriage to Johnny Depp. He was most recently rumored to be dating Australian actress Natasha Bassett.

Knicks’ Quentin Grimes adored by coach as ‘fierce competitor’

Before the Knicks acquired Cam Reddish from the Hawks for Kevin Knox and a protected first-round pick on Thursday, Atlanta reportedly asked for Quentin Grimes.

But given the way coach Tom Thibodeau spoke glowingly about Grimes on Friday, perhaps it should be no surprise that the Knicks were not willing to part with the rookie.

“I love Grimes. I love Grimes,” Thibodeau said Friday after practice. “He’s a fierce competitor, can shoot the ball, can guard multiple positions, and he’s only going to get better. You look at his shot profile, it was great in college. It’s been great in the pros. So that’s an important part of winning. Then to see the way he guards people, his competitiveness, that stands out.”

Grimes has played in 24 games this season, including two starts, while averaging 4.9 points and shooting 38.4 percent from 3-point range in 13.7 minutes. But the Knicks’ recent COVID-19 and injury issues have opened the door for him to see more of an opportunity, and he has taken advantage.

In his past 10 games — during which the Knicks have gone 7-3 — Grimes is averaging 6.7 points, 2.1 rebounds and one steal in 21.1 minutes.

While Reddish won’t play immediately because of a sprained ankle, it remains to be seen whether his arrival will force somebody out of the rotation.

Thibodeau admitted that would likely happen at least when Kemba Walker and Derrick Rose return from injuries, but did say he liked how the current rotation was playing.

“The group that’s playing now is playing well,” Thibodeau said. “So we want to keep that going.”

Walker, who has missed the past seven games with left-knee soreness, is “doubtful” to play against the Hawks on Saturday, Thibodeau said.

Before he addressed the acquisition of Reddish, Thibodeau made sure he gave props to Knox, whose disappointing Knicks tenure ended after three-plus seasons.

“Kevin did a good job for us,” Thibodeau said. “I have great respect for him and his professionalism, the way he handled himself and of course we wish him well moving on.”

Asked if he had heard from any former Duke teammates since the Reddish trade went down — Zion Williamson notably joined them to form a Big 3 for the 2018-2019 Blue Devils — RJ Barrett said with a grin, “We’ll keep that in-house,” possibly wanting to avoid any whiff of tampering.

The Most Disappointing Gadgets of 2021

Screenshot: Amazon

Though it wasn’t technically available to buy in 2021, Amazon revealed its tiny, privacy-abolishing robot Astro this year, so it still counts. More or less an Alexa on wheels with cute eyebrows, Astro presented us with an answer to a question we didn’t remember asking: “What if Wall-E were real, evil, and knew how to beatbox?”

Priced at a cool $1,500—$1,000 for members of Amazon’s Day 1 editions program—Astro is billed and advertised as a domestic assistant. And like any good assistant, Astro gets to work on day one by getting to know you, your house, and your family. The robot begins by “enrolling” the faces and voices of any member of your household who might conceivably give it a command, and then sets out to loosely map the terrain of your home so that it can scoot around without falling down a set of stairs.

Astro also comes fully equipped with what’s known as “Sentry” mode, which enables it to patrol your house for people or events that it doesn’t recognize. Have you seen this episode of Black Mirror before? If not, that’s OK: It’s happening right now, in real time.

For privacy-minded consumers, Amazon touts the fact that Astro is “designed to protect your privacy,” noting that the robot’s microphones, cameras, and sensors can be manually disabled, and that boundary zones can be set so that Astro knows where it’s not allowed to roam. But the reality is that Astro is just another creepy addition to our digital panopticon—an ever-watching, ever-roaming surveillance device that’s designed to memorize and analyze as much of your personal data as possible.

‘It’s a Wonderful Life’ star Karolyn Grimes reveals why she left Hollywood: ‘It became my past life’

Karolyn Grimes was just 6 years old when she was offered to appear in a movie that would forever change her life.

By then, she had already done four movies. But in the summer of 1946, she got to work on a new project titled “It’s a Wonderful Life.” The Frank Capra-directed classic, which starred Jimmy Stewart and Donna Reed, has become a beloved holiday tradition across the globe.

The film centers on the character of George Bailey, played by Stewart, who considers suicide until his guardian angel intervenes and shows him all the people whose lives he has touched and the difference he has made in the community. One memorable character is Zuzu, played by Grimes. She gets to say, ″Every time a bell rings, an angel gets his wings.″

To mark the 75th anniversary of the film’s release, Grimes has written a book titled “Zuzu Bailey’s ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’ Cookbook,” where she shares her favorite recipes and heartfelt stories.

Grimes, 81, spoke to Fox News about what it was really like filming “It’s a Wonderful Life,” how she got the role of Zuzu and why she left Hollywood.

Fox News: What inspired you to write this book now?
Karolyn Grimes: It was the Jimmy Stewart Museum! They called me and said they were out of my book because it was written 25 years ago. So I thought it was time to write a new one for the 75th anniversary. The publisher loved the idea and we got to work right away because there weren’t many people around left who were part of this film. But it was really exciting for me to work on it. I’ve been traveling all over the world and people always want to hear stories about “It’s a Wonderful Life” and what it was really like making it.

Fox News: How did you get the role of Zuzu Bailey?
Grimes: We didn’t have auditions back in the day. We had interviews. And most of the kids had the same agent. So if the studio said, “We want a blond-hair, blue-eyed freckled kid,” they had a hand at picking the best child for the role. They had a hand at picking everyone, even the extras. I spoke to Mr. Frank Capra himself and next thing you know, I got the role!

Fox News: What was your initial impression of Jimmy Stewart?
Grimes: He was very tall and very thin. But he was just the best thing. He was very gentle and kind. He was very generous with his time and really patient with me. So I really enjoyed working with him. I remember I made a mistake with a line and he said, “Well, that’s all right Karolyn, you’ll get it the next time.” He was very encouraging. I felt like I learned a lot working with him.

Fox News: What was your relationship like with the rest of the cast?
Grimes: We all got along. It was very pleasant. And it’s always fun when you can go on set and play with other kids. It was the summertime, so we weren’t quite in school yet. We didn’t have to do lessons. So I remember it being a lot of fun.

Fox News: That must have been surreal, to pretend it’s Christmas, but it’s the summertime.
Grimes: Oh yes, in the film you see all this wonderful snow and it’s fake. It doesn’t snow in Hollywood *laughs*. And I remember it was really warm when we filmed. But Frank Capra did bring magic to that set.

Fox News: What’s a fun fact about your time filming “It’s a Wonderful Life” that would surprise fans today?
Grimes: That’s a tough one because I think the fans know everything already *laughs*. But it’s interesting, people always ask me, “What was it like working with Donna Reed?” And I have to admit, I don’t really remember. I was so into Jimmy Stewart that I didn’t even look at Donna Reed!

Jimmy Stewart left such an impression on me. He was so gentle with me. I was always in his arms or on his neck. And you have to remember, sometimes you have to film a scene over and over again, especially with Capra because he was such a perfectionist. But Jimmy never complained. He never made me feel bad if I got a line wrong. So I really appreciated all of those things as a child.

Fox News: When did you realize that “It’s a Wonderful Life” had become so big among fans?
Grimes: In 1980, someone came to my front door. I was living in the middle of Kansas by then. They knocked on my door and the person said, “Are you that little girl who was in the movie ‘It’s a Wonderful Life?’” I said, “Well, yes.” And the person said, “Can we have an interview?” I thought, “What in the world is going on?” The movie came out so long ago. But clearly, there was an interest in it still. I dug up all of my memorabilia from the basement and started sharing stories. Then the fan mail started coming in.

Karolyn Grimes said she enjoyed working with the “gentle” Jimmy Stewart.
(Photo by Silver Screen Collection/Getty Images)

That’s when I thought, “I have to see what’s going on.” I then sat down and watched the film for the very first time. I was just so moved. I was in tears. I was 40 and the film took me on an emotional roller coaster. Up and down and all around. When it was over, I realized what a masterpiece it was. I then understood why people were so interested in it still. You have to remember, when you’re making a film, you’re just doing a job. And then you move on to the next project. Sometimes you never really get to see it. To this day, I regret the fact that I never started watching it as a family tradition in my own home.

Fox News: Why do you believe “It’s a Wonderful Life” has remained so timeless?
Grimes: I think the story applies to everyone. They see themselves in George Bailey. They identify with the struggles he went through and how he survived. He made his own life wonderful. And there are wonderful things in life. It’s a story of hope and how we can all make a difference, even when things seem hopeless. You don’t know how many letters I’ve received from people over the years who tell me they were on the bridge and after watching this movie, they realized that their lives weren’t so bad after all. And they walked off the bridge.

Fox News: You lost your parents at such a young age. You lost your mother at age 12 and then your father not long after that. How did you cope?
Grimes: My parents instilled in me that in the end, everything is going to be OK. It may not feel that way at the moment, but it will be. Life is what you make of it. And I wanted it to be good. My parents also gave me a religious background that was very solid. I have a certain amount of respect for anyone who believes in a higher being and tries to follow a good path in life. I think that’s something we should all strive to do. It’s difficult these days, but geez, if we could just try. It’s a scary world out there. And we need a film like “It’s a Wonderful Life” now more than ever. I think that’s how I coped.

Fox News: After your parents passed away, you moved to Kansas, a far cry from Hollywood. What was that like for you?
Grimes: At first, I thought I’d died. It took about a year for me to feel at ease. And unfortunately, I was in a really terrible home situation. But I was in a town of 800 people and they all knew my situation. These townspeople rallied around me – the merchants, my teachers, all the kids, everybody – and they just welcomed me with open arms. They gave me so much love and self-confidence. Then I realized I didn’t want to go back to Hollywood anymore. It was a shallow, dog-eat-dog world. I didn’t want that in my life. So I felt content staying in Kansas. At first, I did miss Hollywood. But after I was in Kansas for a year, things changed for me.

Fox News: Were you still getting offers while in Kansas?
Grimes: I went to live with my father’s brother and his mean wife. She immediately cut all my ties with anybody I’d ever known or worked with in Hollywood. It became my past life.

Fox News: What’s life like for you today?
Grimes: Wild and crazy *laughs*. I’m on the road for a solid three months a year just talking about “It’s a Wonderful Life.” And for the rest of the year, I’m doing appearances. My whole life is a wonderful life. For me, my life is about spreading that message.

Player of Games: All the lyrical evidence that Grimes’ new song is about ex Elon Musk

Fans have noted that Canadian singer Grimes’s new song appears to be about her breakup with billionaire Elon Musk.

In “Player of Games”, which was released on 3 December, Grimes seemingly makes multiple, thinly veiled references to the 50-year-old Tesla and SpaceX chief executive with whom she has a one-year-old son, X Æ A-Xii.

In the lyrics video of the song, Grimes is holding on to a knight, complete with a cape and face guard, while clutching a dagger behind her back.

The first supposed reference to Musk in Grimes’s song comes at the 22-second mark, when she says: “Baby how can I compare/To the adventure out there/Sail away/To the cold expanse of space/Even love/Couldn’t keep you in your place”.

Confirming news of their “semi-separation” to Page Six in September this year, Musk said the couple decided to break up partly because of their professional commitments.

“It’s mostly that my work at SpaceX and Tesla requires me to be primarily in Texas or traveling overseas and her work is primarily in LA,” he explained.

The Tesla boss, however, had said that he and Grimes were “on great terms” and “still see each other frequently”.

Musk’s pursuit of space isn’t the only alleged reference Grimes makes to him in “Player of Games”.

Grimes hints at reasons for breaking up with Elon Musk in latest single “Player of Games”

At one point in the song, the 33-year-old says: “I’m in love/With the greatest gamer/But he’ll always love the game/More than he loves me”.

In the past, Musk has revealed he used to work at a video game company in Palo Alto, California before he founded Zip2 – the company that would make him a millionaire at the age of 27 – in 1995.

The video game company’s name was Rocket Science, Musk said at the time, joking that “fate loves irony” referring to SpaceX, the space transportation company he founded in 2002.

He has also spoken about his love for video games in the past.

In response to a social media user’s question this year, Musk tweeted that the only game he has played on a console was Halo. The billionaire is famously “Team PC”, meaning he mostly uses a personal computer to play video games.

Answering another fan question last year, he listed Deus Ex, Half-Life 2, Bioshock, Mass Effect 2, Fallout: New Vegas and Saints Row IV among his favourite video games.

Grimes and Musk began dating in 2018 and welcomed their son X Æ A-Xii on 4 May 2020.

They made their first public appearance together at the 2018 Met Gala.

Grimes trolls paparazzi with Marx’s ‘Communist Manifesto,’ says she’s ‘still living’ with Elon Musk

Grimes knows how to have fun with the paparazzi.

Amid reports of turmoil in her three-year relationship with SpaceX founder Elon Musk, the Canadian singer basked in the spotlight reading a copy of Karl Marx’s 1848 anti-capitalism “Communist Manifesto” on a Los Angeles street corner — while wearing a wild outfit described by the New York Post as “worthy of a martian cotillion.”

No need for the ruling classes to tremble at the sign of a coming revolution. It was just a Grimes gag to get The Onion-esque headline involving Karl Marx and the world’s richest man.

“Paparazzi followed me 2 a shoot so I tried 2 think what I could do that would yield the most onion-ish possible headline and it worked haha,” Grimes wrote on Twitter Saturday.

On Instagram, Grimes alluded to reports of her split, giving “full disclosure,” writing that she’s “still living with” Musk. “And I am not a communist (although there are some very smart ideas in the book…),” she added.

Grimes attends The 2021 Met Gala Celebrating In America: A Lexicon Of Fashion at Metropolitan Museum of Art on September 13, 2021 in New York City.

Grimes is still working on ways to goof on the paps as well as on her own personal socio-economic ideas.

“My opinions on politics are difficult to describe because the political systems that inspire me most have not yet been implemented,” Grimes wrote.

The singer sought advice for interesting photo concepts “if paparazzi keep chasing me.”

“Suggestions welcome!” she wrote to followers.

In late September, Musk told the New York Post, that he and Grimes “are semi-separated but still love each other, see each other frequently and are on great terms.” The two will continue to co-parent their 1-year-old son, X Æ A-XII, Musk told the publication.

As for her far-out look, Grimes wrote on Twitter Sunday: “Taught myself to stop checking if other ppl think I’m socially acceptable a long time ago. Worrying about being cringe is the enemy of art, failure tolerance is essential for creativity. Deciding not to be mad at ppl enjoying life is ok.”

Grimes Living With Elon Musk, Poses With Marx Book

“I’m still living with E and I am not a communist.”

Grimes has been open about how the increased paparazzi attention in the ensuing days has affected her, even penning an original song about, “the privacy invasion, bad press, online hate and harassment by paparazzis.”

Now, images of Grimes reading The Communist Manifesto while walking down the street went viral after the New York Post shared the images under the headline “Grimes seen reading Karl Marx following split with world’s richest man Elon Musk.”

We can’t actually post the pics here because they’re exclusive to the Post, but you can see them here.

However, things might not be exactly as they seem. Grimes wrote on Instagram, “I was really stressed when paparazzi wouldn’t stop following me this week but then I realized it was opportunity to troll.”

“I swear this headline omg wtf haha I’m dead.”

“Full disclosure, I’m still living with E and I am not a communist (although there are some very smart ideas in this book — but personally I’m more interested in a radical decentralized UBI that I think could potentially be achieved thru crypto and gaming but I haven’t ironed that idea out enough yet to explain it).”

“Regardless my opinions on politics are difficult to describe because the political systems that inspire me the most have not yet been implemented.”

This isn’t even the first time this week Grimes has joked with tabloids about communism — she emailed Page Six saying, “I’ll be colonizing [one of Jupiter’s moons] Europa separately from Elon for the lesbian space commune.”

Anyway, Grimes is open to more suggestions to troll the paparazzi — so keep ’em coming!
