Kevin Federline Needs to Keep Britney Spears’ Name Out of His Mouth and Get a Real Job

Last November, Britney Spears scored a landmark victory when Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Brenda Penny opted to end her conservatorship. After years of work from Spears herself, demonstrations from her most devout fans, a harrowing documentary from The New York Times, and, ultimately, the singer’s heart-shattering testimony in court, it appeared Spears had finally won her freedom.

When Spears stepped out of her conservatorship, the public and the media responded with an avalanche of mea culpas. Documentary after documentary had exposed how relentless professional pressure, combined with a tabloid culture devoid of empathy, had gradually but systematically broken the singer’s spirit. Viewers saw Spears’ public 2008 breakdown in a new light—not as a personal failing to be cruelly ridiculed, as it was at the time, but as a cry for help from a human being who, for most of her life, had been exploited for our entertainment.

Less than a year later, however, that old, familiar cruelty has already crept its way back into the Spears discourse. Consider, for instance, the conversation that’s unfolded in the wake of her ex-husband Kevin Federline’s recent insidious “reveals” about her.

On Monday, ITV began teasing its three-part interview with the former Mr. Spears. Federline said he believes the conservatorship “saved” his ex-wife—this in spite of Spears’ own allegations that she’d been forced into years of “therapy” with practitioners she never chose (which is not therapy at all); that her medications were forcibly changed as “punishment” for canceling her Las Vegas Domination residency; and that her conservators would not allow her to remove her IUD so that she could have a child. (That last claim constitutes reproductive coercion, according to Planned Parenthood Federation of America President Alexis McGill Johnson.)

Nevertheless, Federline persisted: “Jamie Spears came to me and was like, pretty much, I don’t know what to do, I want to help,” he told ITV. “I saw a man that really cared and really cares about his family and wanting everything to be OK.” (Never mind that Jamie Spears allegedly lived off his daughter’s wealth for years even before her conservatorship, which further siphoned her finances to pay for not only her own attorneys but his as well.)

More insidious, however, was Federline’s decision to discuss Spears’ relationship with their two sons, Sean and Jayden, both of whom are still teenagers in high school. Federline implied that Spears’ Instagram posts—in which she occasionally poses nude, censored with emojis—embarrassed their sons.

“I apologize for them, to them, for them because I can’t imagine how it feels to be a teenager, having to go to high school,” Federline said. “Who knows how many people ask them about it or talk to them about it? … I try to explain to them look, maybe [it’s] just another way she tries to express herself but it doesn’t take away from the fact that what it does to them, it’s tough.”

Spears’ husband, Sam Asghari, responded to Federline’s comments with a statement in which he pointed out, “Even if there was truth to her kids being ashamed of their mother’s choices and positive body image they wouldn’t be the first teenagers embarrassed of their parents.”

Even if there was truth to her kids being ashamed of their mother’s choices and positive body image they wouldn’t be the first teenagers embarrassed of their parents.

Sam Asghari

Then came the most explosive comments: Federline mentioned that Sean and Jayden are “not seeing [Spears] right now” and haven’t for “months” since they’d skipped her wedding this summer. “There’s a lot of things that were going on that they just didn’t feel comfortable with,” he said. “They made sure that I knew what was going on…they started sending me videos and certain things that they were like, look, I’m telling you that this is happening.”

What, exactly, “this” is remains unclear.

In a now-expired statement posted on her Instagram Story, Spears wrote, “It saddens me to hear that my ex-husband has decided to discuss the relationship between me and my children… As we all know, raising teenage boys is never easy for anyone. It concerns me the reason is based on my Instagram. It was LONG before Instagram. I gave them everything… Only one word: HURTFUL.” In a subsequent post, Spears called her sons “hateful” and claimed they never wanted to spend time with her during their visits.

That was all it took for Federline to double down. “I can not sit back and let my sons be accused in this way after what they’ve been through,” Federline said. (Apparently he forgot that it was his own interview about their kids that prompted Spears’ comments.) “The lies have to stop,” Federline said. “I hope our kids grow up to be better than this.”

And so, Federline shared a handful of supposedly disturbing videos on Instagram.

It saddens me to hear that my ex-husband has decided to discuss the relationship between me and my children… As we all know, raising teenage boys is never easy for anyone.

Britney Spears

The videos don’t exactly project The Waltons energy, but they’re far from damning. In perhaps the most striking scene, one of the singer’s sons seems to complain that she’s confiscated his phone indefinitely for walking into an Alaskan ice cream shop. The moment immediately reminded me of the time just before Spears’ breakdown when an entire tabloid saga ignited around photos of her walking into a public restroom barefoot. The anecdote played into the media’s already insistent narrative that Spears, who had once been our favorite rags-to-riches story, was now irredeemable “white trash.”

Federline has removed the videos. Spears’ attorney, Mathew Rosengart, issued a statement on his client’s behalf.

“Britney has faithfully supported her children and she loves them dearly,” the statement reads, in part. “Whether he realizes it or not, Mr. Federline has not only violated the privacy and dignity of the mother of his children, he has undermined his own children, whose privacy he should protect.”

Rosengart added: “Putting aside his ITV interview, Mr. Federline’s ill-advised decision to post an old video of his 11 and 12 year old children was cruel, bottom of the barrel stuff. It was abhorrent. In addition to demeaning himself and violating societal norms, he has now also created various legal issues for himself including, but not limited to, implicating cyberharassment and cyberbullying statutes, among other things.”

What’s really striking, however, is how easily Federline threw us all back to 2009—when mommy-policing Spears was one of entertainment media’s chief preoccupations.

It’s difficult to imagine what positive motivation Federline and his family could’ve had in sharing these moments. If the concern is Sean and Jayden’s embarrassment, surely publicizing these videos—even, as Federline seems to claim, with the kids’ consent—will only increase the scrutiny on the family and humiliate everyone further. And if the concern is Spears’ parenting skills…I mean, could anyone really believe that this is going to help?

ITV’s interviewer Daphne Barak, meanwhile, has said that some of Federline’s interview will not air in full because it’s “too hurtful.”

Barak said ITV’s story, which appears focused on Federline but reportedly includes other family members, is about “fatherhood in the eye of the storm.”

“It’s this story about the father and the boys and how he managed to successfully bring them up against the odds with all this drama going on and still ongoing as you see with the Instagram. So basically it’s not Kevin vs Britney, it was not about her it was about his fatherhood and the whole family wanted it.”

Somehow I’m guessing “the whole family” does not include Spears—the only reason viewers would know any of its subjects’ names in the first place. (No offense to Federline’s short-lived rap career.)

Meanwhile, Spears’ family and former connections—most of whom she’s alleged were complicit in her subjugation—continue to find media platforms to tell her story before she’s had the chance to do so herself. Lest we forget, her little sister, Jamie Lynn, already cranked out a tell-all memoir. Even some documentaries supposedly advocating for the singer, like Netflix’s Britney vs. Spears, take their cues from sources like the attorney who helped remove Sean and Jayden from Spears’ custody. In the absence of Spears’ voice, and especially given everything we know about how the singer has been silenced thus far, these choices feel more than egregious; they’re careless and cruel.

It also feels like no coincidence that so many of the critiques surrounding Spears, from her public nudity to her alleged fitness as a mother, are specifically gendered. Spears’ conservatorship battle, back then and still today, is both a disability rights issue and a startling demonstration of misogyny. That forcibly-kept IUD, just like conservatives’ relentless battle against abortion and the historic forced sterilization of women of color, was an attempt to override a woman’s autonomy by controlling what she can do with her body.

Federline couldn’t have picked a better time to publicly humiliate Spears all over again. Even in the wake of horrifying unsealed documents from the Amber Heard-Johnny Depp trial, Dior has signed a seven-figure deal with Depp to front its cologne, Sauvage. And Brian Warner, aka Marilyn Manson, has sued Evan Rachel Wood for defamation in the wake of her powerful testimony about his alleged abuse.

These situations are not identical, but they do share one underlying dynamic: women who speak out about their alleged abuse still reliably face retaliation. In Spears’ case, the pain is compounded by history: This behavior from Federline and online critics is pretty much an exact retread of the bullying the singer faced as a young mother under a burning spotlight.

The endless chatter and armchair psychoanalysis surrounding Spears is obviously not meant to help the recovering pop idol become a “better” parent but to entertain a callous public and enrich everyone in her orbit—anyone who has a little gossip to trade for another 15 minutes on television. Just as Spears fans suggested a few years ago when Federline tried to kick Spears’ child support payments up to a whopping $60,000 a month (from the $20,000 he was collecting already), it seems like now might be a good time for K-Fed to “get a real job.”

‘The lies have to stop’: Britney Spears’ ex Kevin Federline posts videos of her arguing with sons

Britney Spears’ ex-husband has posted a series of clips of their young sons arguing with their mother, as the warring parents step up their increasingly acrimonious fight.

Kevin Federline, 44, revealed last week that their sons Sean, 16, and 15-year-old Jayden no longer wish to spend time with Spears, 40.

The singer was devastated by Federline talking about the family rift, and posted a series of angry messages on Instagram, including one accusing Federline of exposing the teenagers to marijuana.

On Wednesday night Federline re-activated a long-dormant Instagram account to retaliate by posting the clips of their sons, which were filmed four years ago.

‘I can not sit back and let my sons be accused in this way after what they’ve been through,’ the father of six wrote.

The first clip shared by Federline appears to be filmed in a bedroom, with Spears berating her sons – then aged 11 and 12 – for lacking respect

Federline and Spears are pictured in 2006, at an after party for the Grammys. The pair were married from 2004 through 2007

‘As much as it hurts us, we decided as a family to post these videos the boys took when they were 11 & 12.

‘This isn’t even the worst of it. The lies have to stop.

‘I hope our kids grow up to be better than this. #NeverFearTruth’

The first clip seems to be filmed by one of the boys inside their bedroom, as Spears walks in and berates them for failing to respect her.

The boy says: ‘You come in here, when we’re trying to go to bed, and you say…’

Spears cuts him off, replying: ‘It’s my house.’

Raising her voice, she continues: ‘This is my house. If I want to come in here and give you lotion for your face, because it is coarse, and you tell me “no, it’s fine, it’s fine” – well, it’s not fine.

‘You better all start respecting me, are we clear?

‘You all need to start treating me like a woman with worth. I am a woman, ok? Be nice to me. Do you understand?’

The second clip is filmed inside a car, with Spears in the passenger seat and the two boys behind.

In the second clip, Spears, in the passenger seat of a car, tells her son Sean, 12, off for refusing to put his shoes on in an ice cream parlor

The singer says she is ‘shocked’ by his behavior, and confiscates his phone as punishment

Spears with her sons Sean, 16, and Jayden, 15. The boys have now chosen to stay apart from their mother

Spears has confiscated 12-year-old Sean’s phone because he refused to wear shoes when they went to an ice cream parlor.

‘Have you lost your f****** mind?’ she yells at them.

One of the boys retorts: ‘Have you lost yours?’

He adds: ‘You don’t care.’

Spears says: ‘I do care, and I am shocked. I am shocked as f*** with you. And I don’t know what to do.

‘And I’m scared of you, because you’re weird, because you’re going through puberty.’

Sean grumpily tells her: ‘If you really cared you wouldn’t take my phone away.’

The latest ugly twist in the story came as Spears was accused of racism after she said that her teenage sons were growing up in a house with more marijuana than a slew of famous faces – all of them black.

Spears, in a lengthy retort on Instagram, attacked Federline’s parenting and claiming the boys were being raised in a household ‘has more weed than Ludacris, 50 Cent, Jay Z and Puff Daddy combined.’

It was quickly noted that all four people she cited as marijuana smokers were black, and several people pointed out that former dealer 50 Cent is now avowedly clean-living.

‘Britney was WRONG for this and it wouldn’t be the first time she’s made questionable comments about black artists. End of,’ said one.

‘So everyone is just ignoring how #BritneySpears assumed a bunch of black rappers are smoking weed and compared successful black millionaires to her sperm factory, no job having baby daddy?’ one person said.

‘Britney Spears named a bunch of black rappers to make a comparison about weed,’ another pointed out.

‘Why those particular people? And they’re all black,’ said one woman, writing on an online discussion board.

‘I don’t like that at all. It’s giving she assumes every black rapper smokes weed.

‘And when she thinks of weed she thinks of black people. Interesting.’

Another said: ‘Jay Z and 50 have famously said they don’t do drugs. The only reason she named them is because they’re black.’

One commented: ‘The racism jumped out,’ while another said: ‘This seems racially motivated…..’

Yet another sarcastically stated: ‘So she didn’t know any white people who smoke weed?’

‘She could have at least through Willie Nelson in the mix,’ one replied.

Not easy: Britney Spears admitted that parenting her teenage sons has not been easy in a long-winded post on her Instagram account, shared on Wednesday; Pictured 2016

The Louisiana-born singer said in her lengthy post that the situation with her sons ‘breaks my heart.’

She said the teenagers acted in a ‘hateful’ way to her during some of their visits and didn’t want to spend time together.

Spears added that her children’s indifference was frustrating, writing: ‘I want to shake their shoulders and say wake up I’m here too!!! The teenage age is weird, I don’t know what’s going on in their heads!!!’

She begun the four-page social media post discussing her new ‘adorable neighborhood’ and admitted that though her new home is beautiful, she misses her old house, adding, ‘It’s hard for me to let go of things I truly love… like my kids.’

She then condemned Federline for participating in the interview, saying: ‘The situation should have 100 percent been dealt with privately and definitely not online!!!’

She defended her household while taking issue with Federline’s wife Victoria Prince, 39, and her ‘goal’ which is ‘to keep the children away from all of the controversy and trauma’ in Spears’ home.

‘I have love in my home and I have blessings from the people I allow in and out of my home,’ said Spears.

‘I looked forward to seeing my kids every week… It was 2 days a week but I asked him to ask to stay for more days…. maybe 3… but then the next week they stayed for only one day.

‘Yeah, I know that teenagers are just hard to deal with with at that age… but COME ON, there’s being rude then there’s being HATEFUL… They would visit me, walk in the door, do straight to their room and lock the door!!!’ she wrote.

‘The MONITOR would tell me that he just likes to be in his room… I’m like why come visit if they don’t even visit me!!!’

She added: ‘It hurts and I want to scream!!!

‘I can’t process how I dedicated 20 years of my life to those kids… everything was about them!!! For them to knock the breath out of me.’

Mysterious: Britney added three more mysterious posts to her feed on Wednesday

A game of chess: Another post featured an online chess board with an interesting message in the caption

Strange: She followed it up with yet another post of herself covering her face with a towel, writing, ‘I’d rather go blind!!! What’s worth a shot??? Just saying’

‘We would always do prayer time, not really prayer time, that sounds silly but it’s called ‘devotion’… where you read two or three pages in a prayer book and talk about it,’ she went on.

‘I always TRIED and TRIED and maybe that’s why they stopped coming here!!! I wanted them to love so much that I might have overdone it!!!’

‘This summer, they told me ‘we may come here less’ and I was like that’s fine. I called they dad and I told him that it seems the boys are wanting to stop coming here as much, which I get because they have their own thing going on but I feel like they are being pretty harsh!!!’

Chaos: It comes after Federline has broken a near decade-long silence in a wide-ranging, moving TV interview in which he talks openly about his ongoing battle to keep the chaos that surrounds his former wife as far removed from his sons as possible

‘It’s tough’: Kevin indicated that their sons are embarrassed by the former Mouseketeer’s frequent posts of herself nearly nude

‘His words were ‘I would never let them make that decision on their own… I would never do that to you’!!! Well after that, I haven’t seen them since!!!’

Spears then lashed out at Federline’s attorney, saying: ‘He wants to bring up my past with that bald-headed peckerhead face Kaplan and circle back to that hard time in my life!!! That was almost 20 years ago… their game doesn’t work anymore!!!’

She concluded her message by writing: ‘You can’t fix me !!! No therapy or sense of worship can fix my heart !!! I will forever have trauma and I know this, I’ve accepted it.’

She concluded: ‘Either way, I have a beautiful pool, a supportive husband, and 5 dogs.’

‘100% I feel like he saved her back then’: Kevin also defended Britney’s estranged father Jamie (pictured in 2008) who controlled every aspect of her life during a 13-year conservatorship, which ended on November 12

On Wednesday, she appeared to continue venting her frustration.

One post featured a painting of a woman by an artist known as @carriedraw, an illustrator from Hong Kong.

The caption read: ‘I need to OPEN my EYES ??? Then you’ll explain things to me ??? Can you explain to MY A**??? Psss portrait of a lady!!!!’

Another post featured an online chess board, with the caption: ‘I’ve been so so so so safe mamma!!! Finding out the truth … IT’S BEEN A LONG TIME FOR ME!!! Is it kinda cool out here??? The famous game of chess goes like THIS … CHECK MATE!!! ‘F*** YOU, YOU CAN’T DO THAT’ I JUST DID!!!”

She followed it up with yet another post of herself covering her face with a towel, writing: ‘I’d rather go blind!!! What’s worth a shot??? Just saying’

‘One word – hurtful’: On Saturday night, Spears said it ‘saddened’ her to hear Kevin speaking so publicly about private family matters

Short-lived: Kevin’s two-year marriage to Britney ended in July 2007, and just six months later she was put on 5150 involuntary psychiatric hold (pictured in 2006)

Federline, in a series of interviews, said their sons are embarrassed by Spears’ frequent posts of herself partially clothed.

‘I try to explain to them, ‘Look, maybe that’s just another way she tries to express herself,” said Federline – who’s said to receive $20,000 a month in child support.

‘But that doesn’t take away from the fact of what it does to them. It’s tough. I can’t imagine how it feels to be a teenager having to go to high school.’

In 2019, Federline was granted 70 percent custody of their sons while Spears was downgraded to 30 percent, according to TMZ.

Federline also defended Spears’ estranged father Jamie – a former building contractor who controlled every aspect of her life during a 13-year conservatorship, which ended on November 12.

‘100% I feel like he saved her back then,’ Federline said.

‘I saw a man that really cared, and wanting everything to be okay…I would absolutely welcome Jamie Spears back in the boys’ lives.’

Federline’s two-year marriage to Spears ended in July 2007, and six months later she was placed under an involuntary psychiatric hold.

Earlier on Saturday, Spears’ new husband Sam Asghari responded harshly to Federline’s claims about his sons’ relationship with their mother.

The 28-year-old actor shared a lengthy message to his Instagram Story in an effort to express his feelings about the statements made by his wife’s former husband.

Asghari tied the knot with Spears in a wedding ceremony this past June.

Kevin Federline Makes Bold Claim To the World & Teenage Sons That Britney Spears’ Conservatorship ‘Saved Her Life’

After it seems like Britney Spears is putting her trauma behind her, embracing the new life she’s earned for herself, someone else has to bring everything back to the surface. Instead of another family member, it’s none other than her ex-husband Kevin Federline. After a decade of staying silent, Federline has added fuel to the fire and made some, erm, bold claims that bring in their two teenage sons Sean, 16, and Jayden, 15.

Federline first says to the Daily Mail that the boys have decided not to see Spears for months, insinuating that it’s because of her naked pictures on social media. He said, “The boys have decided they are not seeing her right now. It’s been a few months since they’ve seen her. They made the decision not to go to her wedding.”

More from SheKnows

He then said that it’s so “tough” for them to be in high school when their mom posts nude pictures on social media. “I try to explain to them, ‘Look, maybe that’s just another way she tries to express herself.’ But that doesn’t take away from the fact of what it does to them. It’s tough. I can’t imagine how it feels to be a teenager having to go to high school.”

Spears’ husband then voiced a controversial opinion on his ex’s conservatorship battle. He said he told his sons that her 13-year conservatorship, where her family controlled her every move with finances, career, and personal life, was good for her. “They’ve had a lot of questions about it. I don’t know that I can answer all of them for them, but I just tried to explain to them that your mom needed help, you know, and the people were in play to try to make that happen, to make it better.”

On top of all of that, he even said he’d like Spears’ father and former conservator back into his children’s lives, quoting that he feels “bad” for him. “I would absolutely welcome Jamie Spears back in the boys’ lives. Especially if that’s what the boys wanted,” he said. “I don’t have any hard feelings towards Jamie Spears. People make mistakes. I feel bad for him. I feel like he’s been put through the wringer.”

He added, “When Jamie took over, things got into order. He saved her life.”

Okay, breathe, we know that was a lot to take in. But Spears’ husband Sam Asghari came to her aid, saying, “To clarify my wife has never posted a nude selfie except of her butt wich is quite modest these days. All other posts were implied nudity wich can be seen in any ad for lotion or soap. There is no validity to his statement regarding the kids distancing themselves and it is irresponsible to make that statement publicly. The boys are very smart and will be 18 soon to make their own decisions and may eventually realize the ‘tough’ part was having a father who hasn’t worked much in over 15 years as a role model.” Safe to say, Asghari went off in his Instagram stories.

Britney Spears’ teen sons don’t want to see her: Kevin Federline says

Britney Spears’ sons have avoided the “Toxic” singer for months, according to their dad, Kevin Federline.

Preston, 16 and Jayden, 15 even elected not to attend their mother’s wedding — her third — to Sam Asghari this spring as the 40-year-old pop star dominated headlines and frequently posted naked photos of herself online, Federline told The Daily Mail.

“The boys have decided they are not seeing her right now,” K-Fed said. “It’s been a few months since they’ve seen her. They made the decision not to go to her wedding.”

Federline, 44, told the outlet he and his sons were upset about an allegation Spears leveled on Instagram in April accusing him of refusing to meet with her when she was pregnant with one of their sons. Federline threatened to sue his ex-wife over the since-deleted statement.

“This whole thing has been hard to watch, harder to live through, harder to watch my boys go through than anything else,” the backup dancer reportedly said of the recent media circus surrounding the November end of her conservatorship. “It’s been tough. It’s the most challenging thing I’ve ever had to do in my life.”

Spears and Federline were married from 2004 and 2006 and their relationship was chronicled in a reality show called “Britney and Kevin Chaotic.”

A year after their divorce, Spears had a series of public meltdowns as she fought for custody of the children. The former teen pop star was hospitalized multiple times, shaved her head, attacked paparazzi and was forced into rehab.

In the years after her court-ordered conservatorship began, her relationship with her sons was peaceful and stable, but had recently deteriorated due to unspecified things the teens witnessed during their visits with mom, Federline said.

“There were a lot of things going on that I didn’t feel comfortable with,” he cryptically told the outlet.

Federline said that his sons are uncomfortable with Spears posting nude photos online.

Spears’ penchant for flaunting her nude body online didn’t help matters, according to the article.

“I try to explain to them, ‘Look, maybe that’s just another way she tries to express herself.’ But that doesn’t take away from the fact of what it does to them. It’s tough. I can’t imagine how it feels to be a teenager having to go to high school.”

Despite taking out a restraining order on Spears’ father Jamie in 2019, Federline told the Mail he thought the allegedly “abusive” conservator meant well.

“I saw this man that really cared, and really cares about his family and wanting everything to be OK,” he said. When Jamie took over, things got into order. He saved her life.”

Spears’ relationship with Federline was defined by chaos and her public meltdown following their divorce.

“They’ve had a lot of questions about it,” he reportedly said of the children. “I don’t know that I can answer all of them for them but I just tried to explain to them that your mom needed help, you know, and the people were in play to try to make that happen, to make it better.”

Federline said he hoped Preston and Jayden would have a good relationship with their grandfather.

“I would absolutely welcome Jamie Spears back in the boys’ lives,’” he said, according to the report. “Especially if that’s what the boys wanted. I don’t have any hard feelings towards Jamie Spears. People make mistakes. I feel bad for him. I feel like he’s been put through the wringer.”

In June, Spears bought a Los Angeles mansion not far from where K-Fed lives with the teens, his wife Victoria, their two children and his two other children from another previous relationship.

The “Baby One More Time” singer recently announced she is pregnant after suffering a miscarriage earlier this year.

But being close by hasn’t healed the rift, Federline said.

“If there was a way – any way – I could possibly say something to just open [Britney’s] eyes – but I haven’t found that yet. I feel like, if I found that, I’d be on the phone trying to tell her.”

Kevin Federline ‘Surprised’ That Britney Spears Bought A Home Near Him

Singer Britney Spears is now a married woman and it seems she needs a bigger house for the growing family she plans to start!

Last week, the “Gimme More” singer tied the knot with Sam Asghari in a wedding that looked to be something out of a fairytale. Although the two didn’t seem to go on a honeymoon, they clearly don’t need to – the two have been living it up throughout the year, taking tropical trips to Maui, Mexico, and even Las Vegas.

Another reason they might want to delay a honeymoon? They’re moving!

Britney Spears Buys A House In The Same Neighborhood As Ex Kevin Federline

According to TMZ, Britney and Sam are all ready to move into their new home after Brit paid $11.8 million dollars for a mansion in Calabasas. The 11,650-square-foot home is in the same neighborhood as her ex-husband, Kevin Federline, and their two teenage sons: Sean and Jayden.

It seems that K-Fed was not informed about the move beforehand, as a source told the outlet that “Kevin was surprised that of all the neighborhoods she can afford to move to she chose his.”

MEGA

The source added, “As long as his peace and tranquility aren’t invaded as a result, more power to her.”

Britney’s white car was spotted in the driveway of the new home along with some moving trucks, so it looks like they’re ready to begin married life as soon as possible.

The home is reported to have 1.6 acres of land with a huge pool and a waterslide. There’s also a huge kitchen, a home movie theater, and a room dedicated to gift wrapping.

MEGA

K-Fed isn’t the only one who lives in the area. Other newlyweds Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker also live there now. Justin Bieber and his wife Hailey also lived there before they moved to Beverly Hills.

TMZ reported that “Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles” stars Josh and Matt Altman of Douglas Elliman and Todd Bernstein of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage handled the sale of the new property.

Britney Spears Has Wanted To Move For A While

Britney revealed her intentions to move as early as last February. In an Instagram video, Britney said that she was going to be moving for the first time in seven years.

In the caption, Britney wrote, “So this is the view from my room … it’s pretty spectacular 😍🌤 !!!!”

However, she admitted that “I’ve lived in this house for 7 years and I’m in the process of buying a new home 🏡 … it’s time for change !!!!”

“I’ve been pretty modest about the home I live in now !!!!” she added. “I know you guys have seen me dance in my living room …. but honestly I have 3 living rooms 😂🤷🏼‍♀️😜 !!!! Maybe one day I’ll give you guys a tour but until then here’s the pink sky 💋💋💋 !!!”

Brit said that she was “in the process” of buying a home at the time, so it sounds like she had already set her sights back on this house.

Back in March, Drake put his lavish Hidden Hills estate on the market and witnesses told TMZ that they saw a lot of celebrity buyers expressing an interest – including Britney and Sam.

The property boasted its own private recording studio, so fans had their fingers crossed that it was a sign that Britney was looking into creating new music again. If that wasn’t enough, the “YOLO estate” contained six fireplaces, a wine cellar, a tasting room, and a movie theater that has enough room for twenty-five people.

Is There Bad Blood Between Britney & Kevin?

MEGA

Although it makes sense that Britney would want to be closer to her children, The Blast previously reported that Britney might have had some bad blood with K-Fed after she accused him of not being there for her during her pregnancy.

In April, Britney wrote in a quickly deleted post, “My ex-husband wouldn’t see me when I flew to New York with a baby inside me and Las Vegas when he was shooting a video !!! And as my brother’s best friend shows up to support a very pregnant woman in Vegas because he felt and PLAYED IT OFF TALKING AND EATING ICE ALL NIGHT.”

MEGA

“Since I hadn’t seen him in a while I already knew it was over,” Britney continued. “I had my baby and went out literally 2 times with Paris [Hilton] and it was all over the news like I was a party girl.”

“Whatever … it’s over now and I’ve made my peace with it,” Britney concluded.

Kevin Federline’s attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, quickly called out Britney Spears’ post as “false,” as per TMZ. Kaplan said that Britney’s version of events “is completely the opposite of what’s true. She knows that.”

MEGA

He warned, “She should be very careful about pursuing a dialogue that’s based on revisionist history.” He added, “That story about Kevin in Las Vegas and Britney is completely erroneous, and [Kevin is] not going to stand by and let that story besmirch what he did and his support of her back in the day.”

Apparently, Kevin hasn’t lost sleep over Britney’s new relationship. “But when she starts talking about the way things were when Jayden and Preston were infants that’s completely fabricated,” Kaplan added. “Kevin is not going to let that stand by and let that be the portrayal of fact.”

Britney Spears’ past weddings – Las Vegas whirlwind to Kevin Federline surprise party

Britney Spears and Sam Asghari are set to tie the knot in front of a small room of people. Before Sam, she had short marriages to Jason Alexander and Kevin Federline

Britney’s doomed weddings as she sets to tie the knot after finally finding happiness

Britney Spears is set to marry for the third time today, after finding love with actor and dancer Sam Asghari.

The 40-year-old pop icon and her 28-year-old fiancé are expected to exchange their vows in front of a small room of people which does not include her mum Lynne Spears, dad Jamie or sister Jamie Lynn.

Sam had got down on one knee and asked her to marry him back in September, not long after she was freed from her 13-year-long conservatorship.

The Oops! I Did It Again star is finally happy after years of being under control but it took a lot for her to get to this point.

Before Sam, she was married twice – first to Jason Alexander and then later to Kevin Federline.

She also shares Sean, 16, and Jayden, 15, with K-Fed.

Here’s everything we know about her first two weddings…

Jason Alexander

The duo tied the knot in a chapel in Vegas

Jason Alexander was one of Britney’s childhood friends and the two stayed close throughout the years.

In 2004, when Britney was 23 years old, she partied with Jason in a fun-filled New Year’s Eve Week in Las Vegas.

And we all know what happens when two people get drunk in Vegas…

Like many people, the drunken duo got married in A Little White Wedding Chapel in Sin City and even rented a green stretch limo.

“It was just so crazy, man,” Jason told Access Hollywood about the spontaneous wedding on January 3, 2004.

“We were just looking at each other and said, ‘Let’s do something wild, crazy. Let’s go get married, just for the hell of it.'”

Chapel owner Charlotte Richards even told Rolling Stone that the two ‘appeared to be extremely happy’.

“I thought it was a marriage that would last forever,” she said, two days before Britney had the marriage annulled.

A mere six months later, Britney married backup dancer Kevin Federline after meeting him on the dancer floor at Joseph’s club in Hollywood.

The couple announced their engagement in July 2004. While on her private plane, Britney asked K-Fed whether she would marry him.

Speaking to People, the Toxic singer said: “Then all of a sudden I said, ‘What if you want to get married?’ And I kind of went from there to asking him if he would marry me.

“I asked him… He said no because he thought it wasn’t the right way to do it.” However, he asked her to marry him a few moments later.

A week later, he gave her a five-carat diamond ring. The proposal received a lot of criticism as K-Fed had just broken up with actress Shar Jackson, who was pregnant with their second child at the time.

Things were out of control when their wedding, which was planned for October 16 of that year, became too publicised.

It stressed the couple out and they ended up shocking the world when they tied the knot in a secret wedding.

“It became this huge thing and I was like, ‘What are we waiting for? We know this is the real thing, why not just do it now?’ That’s why I wanted to sneak and do it our little way,” she told the publication.

30 of their closest friends and family were invited to their wedding at their Studio City home, but they all thought it was an engagement party.

She looked stunning in a $26,000 Monique Lhuillier wedding dress and half-gloves.

Keeping the entire thing casual, the couple offered guests a meal of chicken fingers, crab cakes, ribs, and mashed potatoes.

To celebrate the special day, they even hit up a club.

Three years later, the couple decided to go their separate ways. According to a source, K-Fed’s party-boy behaviour contributed to their split.

In 2008, K-Fed opened up about the split, saying: “It’s hard enough to be in a marriage, and then have a kid, then kids, it changes everything

“For me, I’d become more concerned with my children. Not that I ignored Britney, but my kids are always most important.”

It was completely different for Britney, who claimed she married for the ‘wrong reasons’.

“I think I married for the wrong reasons,” she said. “Instead of following my heart and doing something that made me really happy, I just did it for the idea of everything.”

Kevin Federline ‘never’ used his and Britney Spears sons as ‘pawns’ in conservatorship, lawyer says

Kevin Federline’s lawyer says he’s never interfered with Britney Spears’ 13-year conservatorship.

Mark Vincent Kaplan, who represents Spears’ ex-husband of three years, opened up in a new interview about the DJ’s goals for the former couple’s kids, Sean, 15, and Jayden, 14 amid the controversial court battle over the pop star’s personal and financial affairs.

“Kevin was not involved in the conservatorship, and he was not an agent of the conservator or anybody on that side of the probate case,” Kaplan told Page Six. “All along, Kevin has had one goal and that was to make it more likely, as soon as reasonable, that he and Britney could have a successful co-parenting relationship regarding the kids.”

Kaplan added that his client has “never threatened anything” when it comes to his and Spears’ children, and has only made decisions “for the sake and health and well-being of the kids.”

BRITNEY SPEARS’ REQUEST TO REMOVE FATHER AS CONSERVATOR SHOT DOWN BY JUDGE

The attorney stressed that Federline “has never used his children as pawns for anything,” insisting that their two boys have “always” been his top priority.

Earlier this week, Kaplan told Fox News Federline does have concerns regarding the idea of the “Toxic” singer regaining full control of her life “without any expert evaluation,” days after Spears addressed the court and made a plea to the judge that she wants her conservatorship to end without being psychologically examined.

“I’ve seen it reported that Britney wants [the conservatorship] terminated without any expert evaluation,” Kaplan told us. “One thing that I can imagine will engender a further dialogue should it be terminated is that I know she had revealed in the statement she made that she had been put on lithium, and I think, as you can imagine, lithium is regarded as a very powerful psychotropic medication.”

Meanwhile, over the weekend a transcript leaked online from the fan account @Meaner03 consisting of an interview with Spears’ former manager Larry Rudolph. According to the documents via Page Six, Rudolph described Federline as a “necessary party” in the 2008 intervention of Spears following her breakdown.

BRITNEY SPEARS’ CONSERVATOR SLAMS JAMIE SPEARS’ CLAIMS SHE BLOCKED STAR’S PERSONAL CARE, MEDICAL FREEDOM

“Kevin was brought on that call because he was going to be involved in the planning — I’m sorry, the execution, I should say, of that intervention,” Rudolph allegedly said in the leaked documents via the outlet. “He was a necessary party. There were no legal issues discussed. There were no — nothing to that — nothing in that order. Only discussion about the execution of the intervention.”

James P. Spears, otherwise known as Jamie, was appointed his daughter’s conservator in 2008.

Rudolph continued: “Kevin had already, through his attorney, come forward and said, ‘I’m putting my foot down. Unless she goes to rehab … if she doesn’t get help, I’m taking those kids away.'”

Kaplan recalled an event that occurred in 2008 when Federline showed up to Spears’ house and she “locked herself in the bathroom with the boys.”

The attorney said Federline requested sole custody after the incident “because he didn’t feel the children were safe.”

The 39-year-old singer addressed the court for the first time in recent years on June 23. During the virtual hearing in a Los Angeles Superior Court, Spears expressed her desire to have her conservatorship end. Her attorney, Samuel Ingham III, said during the hearing Spears has not officially asked him to file a petition to end the conservatorship. It appears the petition still has yet to be filed.

BRITNEY SPEARS’ DAD JAMIE UNRECOGNIZABLE AMID CONSERVATORSHIP BATTLE

Kaplan discussed what it would mean for the former couple’s custody agreement should the conservatorship come to an end. He said it’s “always modifiable, based on the best interest of the child.”

He also repeated his client’s concerns with the medical care Spears has received.

“Would the fact alone of the conservatorship being terminated in and of itself make Kevin agree to change the existing custody order? No,” he said. “Kevin needs to be able to have some information to inform his judgment on what that order should be.”

Federline currently has “at a minimum” 70% custody while Spears has 30%. Kaplan added that Federline’s team would need “a lot of information” they currently don’t have. However, he said Sean and Preston are “doing very well” with their dad.

“They see their mom, and the termination of the conservatorship in and of itself, in my view, would not be a change of circumstances warranting to change custody,” the attorney added.

There has been movement in Spears’ conservatorship case since the June 23 hearing. On Wednesday, the judge overseeing the case shot down the pop icon’s request to remove her father Jamie as conservator.

“The conservator’s request to suspend James P. Spears immediately upon the appointment of Bessemer Trust Company of California as sole conservator of estate is denied without prejudice,” the court documents, which were obtained by Fox News, state.

Spears’ court-appointed lawyer, Sam Ingham, asked the court to replace Jamie Spears with the Bessemer Trust. According to TMZ, Ingham reportedly only recently filed paperwork requesting that Bessemer be appointed as a co-conservator, which was approved, though the outlet reports that additional paperwork to make Bessemer’s role official has yet to be filed.

Federline may request evaluation before Britney Spears’ conservatorship ends

While Britney Spears can count on ex-husband Kevin Federline for support as she seeks to end her controversial conservatorship, he has concerns regarding the idea of her regaining full control of her life “without any expert evaluation,” according to his attorney.

Divorce lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan shared Federline’s thoughts on Spears’ desire for the conservatorship to be terminated, exclusively telling Page Six that the DJ would likely have concerns due to decisions previously made in terms of the “Toxic” singer’s medical care.

“I’ve seen it reported that Britney wants [the conservatorship] terminated without any expert evaluation,” Kaplan told us. “One thing that I can imagine will engender a further dialogue should it be terminated is that I know she had revealed in the statement she made that she had been put on lithium, and I think, as you can imagine, lithium is regarded as a very powerful psychotropic medication.

A TIMELINE OF BRITNEY SPEARS’ CONSERVATORSHIP

“I have to hope that if some medical professional prescribed that for her that there was some condition or basis for that to be deemed an appropriate medical protocol,” he went on. “So, if the conservatorship were to end and even more so to be terminated without an exit evaluation, I’m sure that Kevin would at least want to know what the conditions were that gave rise to her being prescribed that, and Kevin would probably have to engender some dialogue along those lines at some point in time if that were to occur.”

Despite his concerns, Federline believes Spears’ health and happiness is vital when it comes to the pair co-parenting sons Sean Preston, 15, and Jayden James, 14.

INSIDE BRITNEY SPEARS, SAM ASGHARI’S HAWAIIAN GETAWAY FOLLOWING BOMBSHELL CONSERVATORSHIP HEARING: REPORT

“It was distressing to see her be in distress,” Kaplan told us. “Kevin really has no inside information about what goes on inside of the conservatorship, but obviously if Britney is in a healthy and good and strong place, that’s great. He wants her to be happy and healthy.”

Federline, 43, and Spears, 39, were married from 2004 to 2007.

Last week, the Grammy winner broke her silence about the conservatorship that has allowed her father, Jamie Spears, to control her personal life and assets, namely her estimated $60 million fortune, since it began in 2008 after her public breakdown.

BRITNEY SPEARS’ COUSIN THROWS SUPPORT BEHIND POP STAR TO END CONSERVATORSHIP: SHE ‘DESERVES BETTER’

Britney also stated during the court hearing that she wants to marry and have a baby with boyfriend Sam Asghari but the conservatorship will not allow it.

“I have an [IUD] in my body right now that won’t let me have a baby, and my conservators won’t let me go to the doctor to take it out,” she claimed. “I feel ganged up on. I feel bullied, and I feel left out and alone.”

The “Me Against the Music” singer is currently on a Hawaiian vacation with Asghari, 27, whom she has been dating since 2016. She wrote on Instagram Tuesday that she is prioritizing her “mental and physical health” during the trip.
