Quinta Brunson Interrupts Jimmy Kimmel’s Monologue By Showing Off Her Emmy – Deadline
Ooh, the payback has begun, Jimmy Kimmel!
Emmy winner Quinta Brunson – who accepted her first Emmy Monday while Kimmel played dead on the stage below her – interrupted his monologue on ABC Wednesday night by showing off her shiny new hardware.

Kimmel then greeted Brunson as his first guest by saying, “I feel like I just saw you. Congratulations on your Emmy. I missed it. How did it go?”
He then went on to explain it was a “dumb comedy bit” after he lost in the Variety Talk Series category yet again to John Oliver. For those that missed it, Will Arnett dragged Kimmel on stage before announcing Brunson as the winner for Outstanding Writing in a Comedy. Kimmel continued to play dead after Brunson took the stage to accept the Emmy.
“And then people said I stole your moment and maybe I did, and I’m sorry I did do that,” he said. “Also, the last thing I would ever want to do is upset you because I think so much of you. I think you know that. I hope you know that.”
“Jimmy let me just say thank you,” Brunson responded graciously. “It’s very kind of you to say that. Honestly I was in such a moment of having a good time. I won my first Emmy! I was up there like, you know, happy! And I was wrapped up in the moment, just having a good time. I didn’t see any of that ….honestly, I had a good night. It was a good night and a good time.”

Brunson taped her appearance earlier Wednesday after she and her fellow Abbott Elementary cast members met with the press to talk about the new season. During the panel, co-star Sheryl Lee Ralph indicated she wasn’t too happy with Kimmel’s now infamous stunt before Brunson accepted her Emmy.
I was absolutely confused,” she told reporters. “I didn’t know what was going on. I wish that man would just get up off the ground. Then I realized it was Jimmy Kimmel. Ooh, the disrespect, Jimmy! But that’s just me. I told him, too, to his face. He understood.”

The 36-year-old model looked phenomenal in a lovely sheer dress decorated with shimmering patches of pink and gray sequins.

The sheer look emphasized the pregnant social media star’s growing tummy, which she rested her hand on.
The glamorous look reached down to the carpet, and she complemented it with a slim hot pink clutch that also matched her long pink nails.
Her caramel-colored locks were styled with a middle part and cascaded down her shoulders in dramatic waves.

Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, she shared a photo of her and husband John Legend at the awards ceremony.
Captioning it, she candidly wrote: ‘TBH I felt like hot garbage but was very happy to be surrounded by such immense talents who truly make my world go round. And then to find out most of them are terribly nice people is wonderful too.

Chrissy and John are expecting their third child together, following their daughter Luna, six, and son Miles, four.
The couple suffered a tragedy during Chrissy’s last pregnancy, when she suffered a stillbirth with their son Jack.

In August, Chrissy announced that she was pregnant again earlier in August.
‘Every appointment I’ve said to myself: “ok if it’s healthy today I’ll announce” but then I breathe a sigh of relief to hear a heartbeat and decide I’m just too nervous still,’ she wrote in her announcement.
‘I don’t think I’ll ever walk out of an appointment with more excitement than nerves but so far, everything is perfect and beautiful and I’m feeling hopeful and amazing.’
The Cravings author previously admitted that, ‘the in between stage is my least fun stage. Just be huge already please!!!!’
Last month, Chrissy revealed that she had sold a scripted series to HBO Max, even as the streaming platform has begun slashing its script content in favor of cheaper unscripted shows following Warner Bros. merger with Discovery.
Jennifer Coolidge danced away being played off the Emmy Awards
Coolidge won the Emmy for outstanding supporting actress in a limited or anthology series or movie for her role as the quirky Tanya McQuoid in the HBO limited series “The White Lotus” on Monday, but she didn’t have a chance to finish her speech.
Coolidge greeted the audience with her signature way of speaking, telling them, “Hey, hi.” Dressed in a sparkling emerald green dress, she said she took a lavender bath that caused her to “swell up” inside her dress.
The music quickly began playing her off when she started thanking people, but she continued on. When producers cued “Hit the Road Jack,” she began to dance along to the music. The crowd loved it.
Many people took to social media to blast the Emmys for playing her off as she was speaking. Writer Bess Kalb wrote, “I speak for the United States of America when I say: Less scripted banter between presenters more Jennifer Coolidge.”
Chasten Buttigieg wrote, “Listen, I don’t know how these things work, but who plays Jennifer Coolidge off the stage?!”
