Johnny Depp has delighted one fan by transforming into his most beloved character when meeting with them.
The Pirates of the Caribbean star, 59, was filmed chatting to a fan before effortlessly slipping into the iconic role of Captain Jack Sparrow.
While he begins talking to her as normal in the clip, he soon takes on Jack’s slurred speech patterns and begins talking about rum.

The wholesome interaction was shared on TikTok with fans excitedly praising the actor for his transformation.
But many were taken aback by the star’s clean-shaven appearance, and even dismissed the video as actually being of him.
However, when he launches into his pitch-perfect impression of Jack Sparrow it becomes clear than it can be none other than Johnny himself.
Johnny has been seen putting on the pirate’s famous voice and mannerisms for fans in the past.

He’s previously donned the costume to surprise children in hospital, in character as Jack.

It comes after it was reported that Johnny is set ‘to return’ to Pirates of the Caribbean after being dropped from the franchise in 2018.
He was the major lead in five Pirates movies over the past 15 years and made what was thought to be his final voyage on the Black Pearl in Dead Men Tell No Tales which was released in 2017.

But a source told Poptopic that the actor has been in talks with Disney about a ‘$300 million deal’ after winning his defamation trial again Amber Heard.
The insider revealed that Disney are interested in patching the relationship up with Johnny and have recently reached out to him.
They said: ‘They reached out to the actor prior to his defamation trial against Amber Heard and asked whether he would be interested in returning for another pirate film or two.

The source added that another project is in the works for Disney Plus. They said: ‘The deal is reportedly for Johnny Depp to return as Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean 6 and a spin-off Disney Plus series about the early life of the Captain of The Black Pearl.’
They continued: ‘What I can tell you is that the studio has already penned up a draft for a film about Jack Sparrow so they are very hopeful that Johnny will forgive them and return as his iconic character.’
The source said that the media house is working on a ‘$301 million deal’ to coax Depp back soon and are also reportedly adding a ‘sizeable donation’ to a charity of Depp’s choice as a gesture of goodwill.

The 46-year-old Academy Award-winner was joined on the errand run by her youngest daughter Vivienne, 13, who helped her carry bags out of the store.
Jolie looked ultra chic in an oversized black coat styled with a pair of black skinny jeans.

Researchers at the University of Maryland (UMD) have figured out a simple, affordable method for creating natural wood materials that are 23 times harder than typical woods, according to a new paper published in the journal Matter. They tested their hardened wood samples by fashioning a wooden knife and several wooden nails and found that the performance of both matched or exceeded that of their steel counterparts. The researchers even managed to cut a medium-well-done steak with their wooden knife as a mouth-watering proof of concept. Bonus: the knife is dishwasher safe for easy cleanup.
Why bother making wooden knives when we have perfectly good stainless steel cutlery, not to mention disposable plastic utensils? The latter, obviously, are an environmental hazard, since the nearly 40 billion plastic utensils used annually are rarely recycled because they’re so small and light. And it takes a good 450 years for plastics to decompose, per the authors. As for steel and other nonrenewable hard materials—nickel-based and titanium-based alloys, for example, as well as nitrides and diamonds that are commonly used in a variety of engineering applications—they are costly to manufacture because they require creating extreme, energy-intensive conditions (ultra-high heat and pressure).
There is a lot of interest in the materials science community to come up with cheaper, more environmentally sustainable alternatives. “When you look around at the hard materials you use in your daily life, you see many of them are man-made materials because natural materials won’t necessarily satisfy what we need,” said co-author Teng Li, a materials scientist at UMD. He and his colleagues thought that wood could be a potential replacement for plastics, concrete, and steels.

“Cellulose, the main component of wood, has a higher ratio of strength to density than most engineered materials, like ceramics, metals, and polymers, but our existing usage of wood barely touches its full potential,” said Li. That’s because wood isn’t nearly as strong as pure cellulose. Cellulose only makes up between 40-50 percent of wood; the rest is hemicellulose and lignin (a binding agent).
So Li et al. came up with a practical and affordable manufacturing method for creating hardened wood by removing its weaker components (i.e., the lignin). They first cut raw basswood blocks into sample sizes, then soaked the samples in a water-based solution (mixed with sodium hydroxide and sodium sulfite) to fill the pores, causing the samples to sink to the bottom of the container. Three different batches of wood samples and solution were boiled at 100 degrees Celsius for two, four, and six hours, respectively, and the samples were then rinsed with deionized water to remove any lingering chemicals. (The authors note that making ceramics, for instance, requires heating the materials to a few thousand degrees Celsius.)

Operation Pitting involved every unit at the military base, with personnel working alongside the Royal Navy, Army, local authorities and aid organisations in Afghanistan and the UK.
Brize Norton’s full fleet of RAF transport aircraft flew around the clock to support the evacuation, including a record flight for an RAF C17 Globemaster which carried 439 passengers out of Kabul.
Aircraft involved in the operation also carried supplies ranging from clothing and baby food for the evacuees.
