Watch: Lionel Messi’s Table Dance With World Cup Trophy In Dressing Room

Lionel Messi led Argentina from the front in a tense final against defending champions France to help his country win the FIFA World Cup title for the third time. Messi scored twice in the final and even converted his penalty in the shootout to help his team get the better of the Les Bleus, who refused to bow out despite going down 0-2 in the first half. Kylian Mbappe became the second player ever to score a hat-trick in a World Cup final and scored in the penalty shootout too, but failed to stop Messi from attaining immortality by winning his first World Cup.

After the victory Messi was overjoyed and celebrated with his teammates. One video that has gone viral is of Messi dancing with the World Cup trophy on a table inside the dressing room. ESPNFC, who posted the video on twitter credited Messi’s teammate Nicolas Otamendi for the video.

Messi ended the tournament with 7 goals, one behind Mbappe who netted 8 for France. He shattered the record for most World Cup appearances with his 26th on Sunday night and now has 13 goals in World Cup history.

He was also awarded the Golden Ball, given to the ‘Player of the Tournament’ and thus became the first player to achieve it, having also won the award in 2014 when Argentina lost to Germany in the final.

Grey Poupon wants in on Olivia Wilde’s salad dressing scandal

New York
CNN
 —

Grey Poupon wants in on Olivia Wilde’s salad dressing scandal.

The Dijon mustard brand is taking advantage of being featured in the center of the drama, announcing in an Instagram post that it is releasing 100 limited-edition “Don’t Worry Dijon” jars, a riff on Wilde’s latest movie that stars Harry Styles.

Confused as to why Dijon mustard has entered the celebrity discourse? The drama started when an unnamed nanny, whose claims have not been verified by CNN, spoke to the Daily Mail about the end of Wilde and actor Jason Sudeikis’ relationship. The actress/director and the star of “Ted Lasso” were together from 2011 to 2020 and have two children.

The anonymous nanny offered private details about Wilde’s alleged romantic relationship with Styles, co-star of Wilde’s recent “Don’t Worry, Darling” film along with Florence Pugh. The nanny said that Wilde angered Sudeikis by preparing a salad for Styles with her ‘special dressing’ in the family kitchen.

The internet wildly began searching for the recipe. Wilde, who had decried the nanny’s statements as “false and scurrilous,” contributed to the gossip mill, posting a photo on her Instagram story of a passage from Nora Ephron’s autobiography “Heartburn” late Tuesday.

“Mix 2 tablespoons Grey Poupon mustard with 2 tablespoons good red wine vinegar,” the passage outlined by Wilde reads. “Then whisking constantly with a fork, slowly add 6 tablespoons olive oil, until the vinaigrette is thick and creamy; this makes a very strong vinaigrette that’s perfect for salad greens like arugula and watercress and endive.”

Grey Poupon will be giving away a limited number of the new jars in the coming days through its social media channels, its owner Kraft Heinz said.

The Instagram post even features a feather boa wrapped around the jar – a costume staple of pop star Harry Style’s 15-show run at Madison Square Garden.

Olivia Wilde satisfies fans’ cravings by sharing her salad dressing recipe

CNN
 —

Actor and director Olivia Wilde appears to have a good sense of humor.

After a tabloid story published Monday referenced a special salad dressing made by Wilde, people have been abuzz searching online for the recipe.

The salad chain Sweetgreen even jokingly tried to stake claim to the dressing, with an Instagram post of a photo of Wilde holding its restaurant bag, with the caption, “the salad dressing origin story.”

Then late Tuesday, Wilde, it seems, had some fun by posting a photo on her Instagram Stories that appeared to be of a page in Nora Ephron’s 1983 autobiographical novel, “Heartburn.”

Wilde did not comment on her post.

The salad dressing fever includes a theory that Wilde a while back shared the dressing recipe with the Food Network. And whatever the ingredients, it’s added Wilde to the ranks of stars whose recipes we are craving.

Olivia Wilde shares salad dressing recipe at center of drama

Olivia Wilde is pretty “Booksmart,” even when it comes to making dinner.

The “Don’t Worry Darling” director shared the recipe for her infamous “special salad dressing,” which her former nanny claimed was the reason for an epic fight with ex Jason Sudeikis.

Sharing a photo from Nora Ephron’s book “Heartburn,” the recipe read, “Mix 2 tablespoons Grey Poupon with 2 tablespoons good red wine vinegar.

“Then, whisk constantly with a fork, slowly add 6 tablespoons olive oil, until the vinaigrette is thick and creamy; this makes a very strong vinaigrette that’s perfect for salad greens like arugula and watercress and endive.”

The recipe is almost the exact same one that Wilde, 38, shared with the Food Network recently — and allegedly led the “Ted Lasso” star to throw himself under Wilde’s car.

In the same passage shared in her Instagram Story, Wilde alluded that she is trying to move on from her relationship — and the drama that followed — with Sudeikis.

“Because if I tell the story, I can make you laugh, and I would rather have you laugh at me than feel sorry for me. Because if I tell the story, it doesn’t hurt as much. Because if I tell the story, I can get on with it.”

“Heartburn” is based on Ephron’s marriage to and divorce from Carl Bernstein, her second husband, after his affair with Margaret Jay, the daughter of former British prime minister James Callaghan.

The former reality star debuted her bump in a June…

Wilde’s post comes just after her former nanny talked to the Daily Mail about the demise of her relationship with Sudeikis. According to the former couple’s nanny, Sudeikis became irate when the director tried to leave their California home to visit now-boyfriend Harry Styles with a salad and her “special dressing.”

“The night she left with her salad, Jason had chased after her, videotaping her in the house,” the woman, who chose to remain anonymous, claimed to the Daily Mail in a story published on Monday. “She was saying: ‘I’m scared of you, Jason, I’m scared of you.’ And he said: ‘If you’re scared of me, why are you leaving your kids with me?’

“So then, Jason went outside and lay under her car so she wouldn’t leave. She got in her car to back up, he lay under her car so she wouldn’t leave.”

The nanny alleged Sudeikis threw himself under Wilde’s car during a fight.

According to the nanny, the “Horrible Bosses” star’s act of desperation was enough to force Wilde to head back into their home.

“He said he was doing it on purpose to make her late going to see Harry,” the nanny claimed. “Jason told me: ‘She made this salad and she made her special dressing and she’s leaving with her salad to have dinner with [Harry].’”

Sudeikis was reportedly furious and heartbroken over Wilde’s relationship with Harry Styles.

Following the nanny’s claims, she and the Emmy-winning actor vehemently denied her “false and scurrilous accusations.”

“As parents, it is incredibly upsetting to learn that a former nanny of our two young children would choose to make such false and scurrilous accusations about us publicly,” the former couple — who share son Otis, 8, and daughter Daisy, 6 — told Page Six on Monday.

“Her now 18 month long campaign of harassing us, as well as loved ones, close friends and colleagues, has reached its unfortunate apex. We will continue to focus on raising and protecting our children with the sincere hope that she will now choose to leave our family alone.”

Not Dressing For The Weather Could Signal Dementia— Best Life

Dementia affects memory, thinking, and reasoning, so the very nature of the disease makes it especially difficult to recognize symptoms in oneself. Instead, it’s often a loved one who first notices the subtle signs of a neurodegenerative condition. Now, experts say there may be another sign of dementia to look out for—whether in yourself or someone you know—that can crop up when you’re getting dressed. Read on to find out which wardrobe choice is considered a red flag, and why it could have serious health consequences.

When the temperature climbs or drops, most people will adjust their wardrobe accordingly. However, experts from the Cleveland Clinic warn that those with dementia often struggle to dress for changes in the weather, and may suffer serious consequences from exposed to extreme temperatures.

“People with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia are especially vulnerable to cold weather risks,” Christine Nelson, BSN, MSN, a geriatric nurse specialist, writes on behalf of the Clinic. “We use cues that tell us it must be cold, such as looking outside and noticing that it’s snowing. But the person with Alzheimer’s might not put all that together,” Nelson says.

In addition to being less aware of their surroundings, those with dementia are also less likely to be aware of their internal temperatures. “People with dementia do not self-regulate their body temperature often, so you might need to monitor if their clothing is appropriate for the weather,” says the Family Caregiver Alliance.

In fact, a 2015 study in the journal Brain found that those with dementia frequently have an altered experience of temperature and pain. Using a “semi-structured caregiver questionnaire” and patient MRI, the team recorded altered behavioral responsiveness to pain and temperature for a cohort of subjects with various types of dementia.

Their findings explained why those with the syndrome may seem to dress erratically when the weather changes. “Both increased responsiveness and decreased responsiveness to pain and temperature variations were described, as well as responses that were variably increased or decreased within or between modalities,” reported the researchers of their subjects. In practical terms, this may mean that someone with dementia is either less or more sensitive to heat or cold, and that their sensitivity may quickly change.

The team also found the degree to which one’s responsiveness to temperature is altered may be linked to the type of dementia they have. “While altered temperature responsiveness was more common than altered pain responsiveness across syndromes, blunted responsiveness to pain and temperature was particularly associated with behavioral variant frontotemporal dementia (40 percent of symptomatic cases) and heightened responsiveness with semantic dementia (73 percent of symptomatic cases) and Alzheimer’s disease (78 percent of symptomatic cases),” the team found.

The researchers attributed the change in part to gray matter loss in various areas of the brain which are responsible for processing homeostatic signals, including temperature.

While both extreme hot and cold weather can pose a danger to dementia patients, experts say that cold weather can be especially hazardous. Those with dementia may need help assembling a winter-ready outfit to protect them from the elements, including a warm coat, gloves, hat, and scarf.

Icy terrain can also be difficult for those with dementia. “Snow and freezing rain make walking outside treacherous for anyone. But those with Alzheimer’s are typically less steady on their feet than the rest of us,” says Nelson. For this reason, a winter outfit should always include sturdy shoes or boots with good insulation and traction.

It’s not only the outdoors that require extra consideration during the winter, though. Nelson offered this advice to those caring for a loved one with dementia: “You might think keeping the house toasty is the best way to counter winter’s wrath. And that’s true to a point. But keeping the thermostat set too high can cause your loved one to overheat and sweat, and make them dehydrated.” Instead, keep the thermostat set between 54 and 75 degrees Fahrenheit and provide layers of clothing to put on or take off.

Finally, if you notice that you or someone else regularly neglects to dress for the weather, speak with your doctor about a dementia screening.
