Sandisk and WD_Black flash drives and storage devices are on sale

Save all your data with these amazing deals on Sandisk and WD_Black flash drives and hard drives.

Storage woes? You’re in luck. Right now, Amazon is having a huge sale on Sandisk and WD_Black items. One of the best discounts of the bunch? This SanDisk 128GB Flash Drive 5-Pack. With fast read and write speeds, it’s great for laptops, tablets and game consoles that need more storage capacity (hello, HD videos and high-res photos). And nearly 90,000 shoppers gave it a perfect five-star rating.

One happy customer shared, “My new laptop has plenty of data storage — unless you want to store several years of experience digital photos! Now I can transfer files from the hard drive over to this USB drive!”

Another raved about how ideal it is for its size, “I like the size and the price. You really can’t beat that. Plus it’s Sandisk. I wouldn’t buy a no-name storage solution.”

A five-star reviewer wrote, “I am a photographer, but a low-tech guy in general. The hard drive in my tower is loaded to the max with images. I don’t like or trust the cloud, personally. So this external drive is great for my needs. I can fill it up with raw and jpeg files, and not worry about my desktop PC crashing. […] So now they will be safely backed up with this San Disk drive.”

More than 26,000 reviewers agree, this WD_Black external hard drive is the safest place for their data and holds up to wear and tear, too. One explained, “I’ve only had mine for a couple of months, but so far I have no complaints. It does everything I need with no perceivable penalty in performance. The extra storage space (5TB!) is a life saver since I had maxed out my PS4’s internal drive, and it had already been upgraded to a 2TB drive.”

If you have Amazon Prime, you’ll get free shipping, of course. Not yet a member? No problem. You can sign up for your free 30-day trial here. (And by the way, those without Prime still get free shipping on orders of $25 or more.)

The reviews quoted above reflect the most recent versions at the time of publication.

Samsung Camera Assistant app will finally come to more Galaxy devices

Samsung is working on making the Camera Assistant app available for more devices, according to a post made by a moderator on the company’s community forum for South Korea. The brand will try to make Camera Assistant available for as many devices as possible and also drop an announcement soon about the expansion schedule.

Launched in October this year, Camera Assistant is a module for the company’s Good Lock app. It allows you to customize the behavior or settings of the camera at a deeper level than what you can do with the stock camera app. In other words, it gives you finer control over the camera’s settings compared to the stock camera app, with some settings even making a comeback after having disappeared from Samsung smartphones in the last few years.

However, the Camera Assistant app has been available only for the Galaxy S22 series since its launch, and many users have been requesting Samsung to make it available for their devices. While the brand seems to have taken the feedback, we still don’t have a list of devices for which the app will be available or its concrete launch timeline.

Last month, the company updated Camera Assistant with the ability for the app’s icon to adapt to the color of the phone’s wallpaper, which is enabled by Android 13’s dynamic icon feature. Recently, Samsung also released the updated Expert RAW app, which allows users to capture bright photos of stars, constellations, and dark sky.

A man shot and killed his wife then killed himself on Christmas morning at a Jehovah’s Witness Kingdom Hall in Thornton, Colorado, police said.

In a news release, Thornton Police confirmed that the two adults found dead at the scene were a married couple who were former members of the Kingdom Hall congregation.

Police said the Adams County Coroner’s Officer would confirm the identities of the deceased at a later time.

They also said “the Adams County Sheriff’s Department Hazardous Material Unit is currently investigating suspicious devices found at the scene,” and that police are interviewing witnesses as part of the ongoing investigation.

Sunday night, Thornton police said that three “incendiary devices” had been found at the scene. “They were rendered safe and collected with the help of the Adams County Hazardous Material Unit,” the Thornton Police Department said. They did not elaborate on what type of incendiary devices were found or where exactly they were located.

According to police, there are “no further concerns for the safety of the Thornton community.”

A large police and fire rescue presence, including an Adams County bomb squad truck, was seen at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Thornton on Sunday.

Exynos 2300 is alive and kicking, coming to these Samsung devices

Ever since Qualcomm mentioned its Snapdragon chips would be used in more Galaxy devices starting in 2023, multiple reports have claimed that the Exynos 2300 is dead and that Samsung will exclusively use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 in the Galaxy S23 series. However, a new report claims that the Exynos 2300 is alive and kicking.

According to tipster @RGcloudS, the 4nm Exynos 2300 chipset exists, and it will power the Galaxy S22 FE and the Galaxy Tab S8 FE. Both devices will reportedly be unveiled during the Galaxy Unpacked 2023 – Part 2 event. The Galaxy S22 FE reportedly replaces the Galaxy A74, which aligns with our previous report.

Exynos 2300 could power Galaxy S22 FE and Galaxy Tab S8 FE

The Galaxy S22 FE reportedly features a 108MP ISOCELL HM6 camera and will be priced similarly to the Galaxy A73 5G. This is a considerable upgrade compared to the Galaxy S21 FE’s 12MP primary camera sensor. Hopefully, the device features a dedicated telephoto camera as well.

Another rumor from tipsters @OreXda reiterates that the Galaxy S22 FE is coming soon. The rumor goes on to claim that the Galaxy Buds 2 Live wireless earbuds will also be launched soon. Tipster @dohyun854 claims that the Galaxy S23 FE doesn’t exist.

If these rumors are true, Samsung will replace Galaxy A7x devices with Galaxy S FE phones. It will also use Exynos chips in the foreseeable future despite Samsung MX making its own chip division. If you remember, a rumor recently claimed that System LSI would restrict itself to making automobile chips, and smartphone chips will be designed by Samsung MX’s new chip development division.
