MLB The Show 21 Cover Leak Seemingly Confirms Xbox Version

The cover has allegedly leaked for MLB The Show 21, but this time for both PlayStation 5 and Xbox One, seemingly confirming that the Sony-exclusive baseball game will make its way to other platforms in 2021.
Known leaker ANerdyDad on Instagram shared the covers, which both feature San Diego Padres’ Fernando Tatis Jr., and the Xbox version even comes complete with the PlayStation Studios logo, as well.

Another potential leak has made its way to Reddit, showing that there may also be a Jackie Robinson special edition version of MLB The Show 21, which is said to be available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One. Unfortunately, there is no mention of PC or Nintendo Switch.

The Jackie Robinson Edition leak also reveals that the game is planned to be released on April 20, 2021, with an Early Access Weekend beginning on April 16.

Following these leaks, it has been announced that the official MLB The Show 2021 cover reveal will take place tomorrow, February 1, on Hot Ones. So, it appears we won’t have to wait long to learn the truth.

In 2019, it was confirmed that MLB The Show would be making its way to other platforms as early as 2021, and it appears this just may be the year these great games will be playable by many more people.

Senate confirms Blinken as secretary of state and convenes as court of impeachment

The Senate Homeland Security Committee voted to advance the nomination of Alejandro Mayorkas as secretary of homeland security, teeing up a full Senate vote on his confirmation.

The committee voted 7 to 4 to send his nomination to the Senate floor on Tuesday, with one additional vote against the nomination cast by proxy. GOP Senators Ron Johnson, James Lankford, Rick Scott, Josh Hawley and Rand Paul voted against advancing Mayorkas to a full Senate vote.

Mayorkas testified before the committee last week.

Johnson led the charge among those registering their opposition, voicing concerns over a 2015 Department of Homeland Security (DHS) inspector general’s report that found Mayorkas pushed for the approval of applications for a program for wealthy immigrant investors on the behalf of well-connected Democrats when he served as director of the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).

“My preference would have been not to air this dirty laundry publicly. I would have hoped that President Biden would have had better sense to nominate and carry forth with the nomination,” the outgoing chairman stated. He later added, “I’ve had a good working relationship with Mr. Mayorkas as deputy secretary of DHS and hope to work with him in good faith if he is confirmed as secretary. I simply cannot support his nomination and I would urge members not to as well.”

GOP Senators Rob Portman and Mitt Romney expressed their concern with regard to the 2015 report, but ultimately voted in favor of pushing his nomination through to the upper chamber.

“We’ve just endured a president over four years, who I will say generously, had a relaxed relationship with the truth. And I think we want the highest level of integrity in positions of government,” Romney remarked, noting that Mayorkas’ acknowledged his errors in a private conversation and vowed to learn from them.

“This is a tough one,” Portman conceded. Ultimately, the Senator from Ohio reasoned that Mayorkas’ fate was already sealed. “He’s going to be confirmed. The question is how quickly is he going to be in place,” he told his colleagues, noting the importance of putting a secretary at the helm of DHS in the aftermath of the Solar Winds cyberattack.

Soon-to-be Democratic Chairman Gary Peters urged colleagues to “expedite” Mayorkas’ confirmation “as much as possible.”

“In fact, every day that this confirmation process is delayed, places the American people and our national security risk from threats posed by domestic terrorism, from cyber-attacks and the ongoing pandemic and so much more,” Peters said.

Senators wished Portman well following his announcement that he will retire from the Senate in 2022. Then Romney interjected with a laugh, “Don’t be too concerned about him leaving, because he’s just organizing his campaign for president.”

Harvey Weinstein’s bankruptcy judge confirms sexual misconduct settlement: report

Harvey Weinstein’s sexual misconduct settlement has reportedly been approved by the judge overseeing his company’s bankruptcy proceedings.

The now-confirmed settlement resolves most claims from women who have accused the disgraced former movie mogul of sexual misconduct, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The settlement includes $17 million to be divided between the accusers for their misconduct claims via a point system, while an extra $8.4 million will be included for bankruptcy claims unrelated to misconduct allegations.

Nearly 40 women voted to accept the deal earlier this month, the outlet reports.

HARVEY WEINSTEIN ACCUSER SUES HIM SEEKING DAMAGES FOR ALLEGED ASSAULT

Next, a sexual misconduct claims examiner will take a look at each claim filed in addition to documents and statements in support of the activity in order to assign a “point award” that will be used to determine how much of the $17 million each accuser will receive.

Each accuser will be given the opportunity to release all future claims against the former producer should their claim be allowed.

The accuser will receive their full payment once they agree to release Weinstein while those that do not choose to release him will only get 25% of the pre-determined amount they are offered. The remainder will go to insurance companies.

Included in the deal is a mandatory perpetual release of claims against board members of The Weinstein Company as well as of the company itself.

MAJORITY OF ROSE MCGOWAN’S CLAIMS AGAINST HARVEY WEINSTEIN DISMISSED: REPORT

The outlet reports that some accusers oppose the deal and feel that those offering accusations of rape should not be evaluated on the same level as those who claim only harassment. Additionally, the financial penalty for not releasing claims — as well as the mandatory release of claims against others — has also been strongly opposed by some.

Attorney Genie Harrison represents five accusers and said that her clients “have no doubt” the deal is fair, according to the outlet.

“This is not a close call to us,” she said. “My clients view this as a no brainer.”

U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Mary F. Walrath agreed on Monday.

“I will not get into an analysis of whether one victim’s claim has more validity or more value than another’s,” she said. “Every victim of Harvey Weinstein was victimized and deserves to have a say into the plan confirmation. If they choose not to release Mr. Weinstein they have the right to have a jury trial.

They added: “83 percent of the victims have expressed very loudly that they want closure through acceptance of this plan.”

Weinstein’s attorney did not immediately respond to Fox News’ request for comment.

Casey Affleck CONFIRMS he didn’t throw out Ana de Armas cutout after her split with his brother Ben

‘It definitely wasn’t me’: Casey Affleck CONFIRMS he didn’t throw out Ana de Armas cutout after her split with his brother Ben

Casey Affleck on Thursday denied that he was in disguise at his brother Ben Affleck’s house earlier this week, dressed as a landscaper tossing in the trash a cardboard figure of Ana de Armas following Ben’s split with the actress.

‘No, that’s not me,’ the 45-year-old actor told ET correspondent Rachel Smith Thursday. ‘A bunch of people sent that picture to me and I was gonna tweet some, like, joke, response or something.

‘And then I couldn’t think of one and a joke didn’t seem appropriate. And I don’t have Twitter so that wasn’t going to work. But it definitely wasn’t me.’

The latest: Casey Affleck, 45, on Thursday denied that he was in disguise at his brother Ben Affleck’s house earlier this week, dressed as a landscaper tossing in the trash a cardboard figure of Ana de Armas following Ben’s split with the actress

The Academy Award-winning actor told the outlet that he couldn’t even confirm the breakup of the celeb couple, saying, ‘I can’t even really say if they have totally broken up for good or whatever. I would leave that to them to speak to.’

The Manchester By the Sea star, without getting into specifics, pointed to strain on ‘people in relationships’ brought about by the coronavirus lockdown implemented last March amid the spread of the pandemic.

‘The reality is, I think that this year has been really hard on people in relationships,’ Affleck said. ‘I wouldn’t know because I’ve been single, but I bet there are a lot of people that have, you know, it’s been challenging to relationships.

‘And I think that Ana is just the sweetest, funniest, smartest, most charming person. I think she won’t have any problems meeting somebody else.’

Praise: Casey called de Armas ‘just the sweetest, funniest, smartest, most charming person.’ She was snapped in Paris last year

Loyal: Casey said he’d ‘be there to carry Ben through it, but I don’t think he’ll have any problems;’ Affleck was snapped last year in LA

Popular: The idea it was the Oscar-winner tossing the cutout spurred chat on Twitter

The father of two – to sons 16-year-old Indiana and 13-year-old Atticus, with ex Summer Phoenix, 42 – told the outlet he has ‘no idea’ if his sibling and the actress will get back together, noting he’d ‘be sorry if it doesn’t work out.’

He continued: ‘I think she’s a catch in every way. And I’ll be there to carry Ben through it, but I don’t think he’ll have any problems. My advice to them would be like, “Yes, think long and hard about it, because quarantine is not fun if you’re single.”‘

The Massachusetts native touted de Armas’s work in the yet-to-be-released movie Blonde, saying the actress could ‘win an Oscar next year’ for her work in the Andrew Dominik-directed film, which also features Bobby Cannavale and Adrien Brody.

‘I saw her performance as Marilyn Monroe in this movie called Blonde, which hasn’t come out, and I would bet a lot that she’s gonna pick up every single award,’ Affleck said. ‘She’s gonna have a good year. I’m not too worried about her.’
