‘9-1-1’ and ‘The Rookie’ actor Tyler Sanders’ cause of death revealed

After months of speculation, an autopsy has revealed the cause of death for “9-1-1: Lone Star” and “The Rookie” star Tyler Sanders, who was discovered dead in his Los Angeles home in June.

According to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner, the 18-year-old “Fear The Walking Dead” actor died from the effects of fentanyl in what authorities have declared an accident, TMZ reported.

The coroner noted Sanders had sent a text message to his friend the night before he died, telling them that he was using the narcotic. However, the former child star didn’t respond to messages after his initial text.

Authorities also discovered a straw and white powder in the room where he died, per the report.

And while Sanders didn’t have any known medical problems, he reportedly had a history of abusing various substances, including including heroin, cocaine, LSD, mushrooms and Xanax, the outlet reported.

The report comes after the Californian was was found dead at his Los Angeles home, where he lived alone, on June 16. Police responded to a call about a male who was found not breathing, whereupon they discovered the teen alone and pronounced him dead shortly thereafter.

At the time, Sanders’ cause of death was listed as “deferred,” meaning the medical examiner is “requesting more investigation into the death, including additional studies. Once the tests/studies come back, the doctor evaluates the case again and makes the cause of death determination.”

Sanders entered show business at age 10.

Sanders, who entered showbiz at age 10, is perhaps known for starring in “9-1-1: Lone Star” opposite Rob Lowe. He also appeared “The Rookie,” “Fear the Walking Dead” and the Amazon Prime series “Just Add Magic: Mystery City.”

Also a student of stand-up comedy and improv, the rising star earned a 2021 Daytime Emmy nomination for his role as Leo in the “Just Add Magic” spin-off, and has a pair of independent films currently in postproduction, per to his IMDb.com profile.

Sanders was also active on social media, boasting an Instagram page with over 12,000 followers, where frequently shared photos of himself with his co-stars, friends and other nature-filled adventures.

In his last post before his death, the young talent posted a snap of himself sporting a sharp blue suit in glasses while visiting Vail, Colorado. The post was captioned: “Styling.”

The tragic news comes less than two weeks after authorities revealed that deceased TikTok star Cooper Noriega, who was also found dead in June in Los Angeles, had died of “combined effects of alprazolam, fentanyl and lorazepam.”

Meanwhile, fentanyl seizures at the US border with Mexico have continued to surge in 2022, with multiple busts setting different records throughout the year.

“A decade ago, we didn’t even know about fentanyl, and now it’s a national crisis,” U.S. Attorney Randy Grossman said in a press release in August. “The amount of fentanyl we are seizing at the border is staggering.”

Grossman’s comments came as the Justice Department revealed that ports of entry in San Diego and Imperial counties in Southern California were at the center of a surge in fentanyl seizures at the border, accounting for roughly 60% of seizures of the deadly drug in 2022.

However, that rise has been seen at ports across the border, with law enforcement agencies on both the Mexican and American sides making record-setting busts in 2022. Here are just a few of the border fentanyl busts that made headlines in 2022.

Child star Mason Reese dumped by model after sex drive confessions

Mason Reese has been dumped by his much-younger girlfriend — just days after he cruelly claimed she was not the best lover he ever had.

Reese — a 57-year-old former child star who shot to fame after starring in a series of popular commercials in the 1970s — began dating OnlyFans model Sara Russi, 29, back in 2019.

But Russi ended the relationship last week after Reese made the rude remark about her bedroom skills in an episode of the web TV series “Love Don’t Judge.”

“It’s been messy,” Russi admitted of the split in an interview with Femail on Wednesday. “He’s said mean things to me and I’ve said mean things to him, but our relationship sadly just became like roommates.”

The couple’s three-year romance was the subject of much media attention — not only because of their age difference, but also their striking height difference.

Reese measures just 4-foot-10 and also uses a mobility scooter on a full-time basis. Russi was seen riding the vehicle with her much-older beau on multiple occasions, sparking accusations of gold-digging.

In the episode of “Love Don’t Judge” — which was released to YouTube last week — Reese is asked whether Russi is the best lover he’s ever had.

“I’m not the best I’ve ever been — let’s just say that,” Reese coyly responded, using self-deprecation to escape the question.

Russi, who was sitting next to her partner, looked shocked and replied: “You said I was!”

“I don’t recall saying that,” Reese snapped back, with an awkward argument ensuing on-screen.

The couple dated for three years, with their age gap attracting much media attention. Russi was seen riding Reese’s mobility scooter with him on multiple occasions. She was also forced to fend off accusations of gold-digging.

While the cringe-inducing conversation may have been the catalyst for the couple’s split, they’ve spoken about their mismatched libidos in the past.

In 2019, Reese admitted he was often hornier than younger Russi, who couldn’t keep up with his insatiable appetite.

“I do have a bit higher sex drive — I’ve always been a highly driven sexual guy. I know I don’t look like it, but I am,” the pint-size star declared in an interview with the British daytime talk show “This Morning.”

“We have sex an average of twice a week,” Reese added. “I might be happier with three [times a week]. But twice is a good compromise for me.”

In the same interview, Russi confessed that sleeping with her man twice a week felt “like a lot.”

The pink-haired beauty isn’t wallowing over the end of her relationship with Reese. She’s revealed she’s already dating another Instagram influencer.

Russi — whose raunchy OnlyFans account boasts tens of thousands of followers — is not wasting any time wallowing over her split from Reese.

“My relationship with Mason was starting to feel more like a friendship, so after our last episode of ‘Love Don’t Judge’ where he made those comments, we had a conversation and ended it,” she told Femail.

The model also revealed that she’s already started seeing someone, another influencer who goes by the name Three6.

“We have a lot in common,” Russi cooed of her new beau. “I had to force Mason to do videos, but Three6 is all about content creation, which is great. We have a lot more chemistry and connection.”

Brooke Shields slams Barbara Walters over 1981 interview

Brooke Shields has slammed Barbara Walters over a 1981 interview in which the veteran journalist asked the then-15-year-old a series of invasive questions about her personal life.

Shields — now 56 — reflected on the intense sit-down on Monday, bluntly stating: “It’s practically criminal. It’s not journalism.”

The interview with Walters took place just months after the teenage Shields starred in a controversial Calvin Klein campaign, which featured the provocative slogan: “You want to know what comes between me and my Calvins? Nothing.”

Walters interrogated Shields on camera as she sat alongside her mom, Teri.

“What are your measurements?” Walters asks an uncomfortable-looking Shields in the sit-down before ordering her to stand up so viewers could gauge how tall she was.

“Would you be a mother like your mother?” Walters then asked, before adding: “What about people who say, ‘She had no childhood’?”

Shields defended her mom and insisted that she was still in the midst of her adolescence — but Walters continued with her interrogation.

“Do you have any secrets from your mother?” Walters probed before Shields again leaped to her mom’s defense.

Shields is seen in the 1980 Calvin Klein ad. She was 15 years old.

Shields reminisced about the interview during Monday’s edition of Dax Shepard’s podcast “Armchair Expert.” Shepard described Walters’ tactics as “maddening.”

Shields concurred, before speaking generally about interviews she did in the wake of the Calvin Klein commercial.

“The [interviewers] never wanted my answer. They just wanted their point of view,” the actress declared.

Shields has previously spoken about the backlash she received after starring in the ad, saying she was “naive” to its risqué nature.

The star — who in a 2014 memoir admitted she did not lose her virginity until the age of 22 — said she didn’t realize the double entendre of the Calvin Klein campaign’s controversial tagline.

“I didn’t think it had to do with underwear,” she told Vogue. “I didn’t think it was sexual in nature. I’d say that about my sister — nobody could come between me and my sister.”

“I think the assumption is that I was much more savvy than I ever really was.”

Despite lambasting Walters on Monday, Shields doesn’t appear to hold the interview against the veteran talk show host. The pair have been pictured at various social events together in the decades after the 1981 sit-down.

However, Shields isn’t the only celeb to accuse Walters of unsavory interview tactics. Earlier this year, Ricky Martin said a 2000 interview with the TV queen left him with PTSD after she probed him about his sexuality before he was ready to publicly come out as gay.

Former child star Matthew Mindler’s death has been ruled a suicide.

The Lancaster County Coroner’s Office made the “manner of death” ruling Monday, though the exact cause of Mindler’s death is still pending the toxicology screen, TMZ reports.
