50 Cent’s Son Marquise Offers $6,700 for 24 Hours With Estranged Father

50 Cent’s eldest son Marquise Jackson is offering to pay his estranged father $6,700 in exchange for 24 hours of quality time.

Marquise posted a picture on Instagram Monday where he’s sitting next to the word “entitled” spelled out in $100 bills. “Since y’all think $6,700 is sooo much money someone tell my pops I will pay him $6,700 for just 24hr of his time so we can do everything I ever wanted to do with him as a kid,” he wrote.

The post is in reference to a photo that 50 Cent shared on Instagram years ago, which turned out to be one of several posts called into question in court after he filed for bankruptcy. 50 attempted to dissuade the court from looking into unaccounted financial assets by reassuring them that prop money was used in pictures, such as the one below.

“Just because I am photographed in or next to a certain vehicle, wearing an article of clothing, holding a product, sitting next to what appears to be a large sums of money or modeling expensive pieces of jewelry does not mean that I own everything in those photos,” 50 argued in court documents.

Marquise’s remark about people thinking “$6,700 is sooo much money” is in response to the backlash he received for arguing that $6,700 per month in child support wasn’t enough.

As of this writing, 50 Cent has not responded to Marquise’s offer.

50 Cent’s Sire Spirits lost millions to cheating employee: court docs

50 Cent got taken for big bucks by an employee who secretly pocketed millions from the rapper’s champagne and cognac biz, according to court papers.

The Queens-born rapper, whose given name is Curtis Jackson, launched his Branson Cognac in 2018 and Le Chemin du Roi, or The King’s Path, champagne in 2019, through his company, Sire Spirits.

The booze doesn’t come cheap, with the cognac selling for $200 and up and the bubbly going for $150 or more.

But the the company’s director of Brand Management, Mitchell Green, was jacking up prices and getting kickbacks from wholesalers to the tune of $2.2 million in so-called “agency fees,” according to Manhattan Federal Court records.

50 Cent launched Branson Cognac in 2018.

Green only confessed to the scheme in February 2020, “after two years of embezzling from Sire Spirits,” because he was being extorted by someone who threatened to expose him. The company fired him and took him to arbitration.

An arbitrator found Green liable for the money he pocketed, along with another $948,096 paid to a wholesaler, and ordered him to pay another $2.7 million in attorneys fees, costs and damages for a whopping total of $6.2 million, court records show.

A Manhattan judge confirmed the arbitrator’s decision in June. Attorneys for Green didn’t respond to a message seeking comment.

FIFA 23 Accidentally Sells For Six Cents, EA Honors The Mistake

Image: EA Sports

FIFA 23 is currently up for preorder around the world, and is supposed to be a full-price retail release, but in one particular market on one particular store, customers could get one hell of a bargain.

Last month, anyone browsing the Epic Games Store in India would have seen that while the standard edition of FIFA 23 cost ₹3,499 (USD$44), the Ultimate Edition—which should have been ₹4,799 (USD$60) was instead listed at ₹4.80.

The error was first discovered in late July
Image: Twitter

That is not a sale price, that is an error, one where the store has clearly put the decimal point in the wrong spot. ₹4.80 works out to be six cents, and as word spread about the savings, users flocked to the store and bought the game. And not just Indian gamers, either; once news got out, fans were sharing across social media ways for players outside the region to set their accounts to the Indian Epic Games Store so they could get in on the error as well.

Now, this kind of thing isn’t exactly rare in the realms of online shopping, but often stores will cancel orders when the discrepancy is this great, so I don’t think too many people would have been expecting to have actually got hold of the more expensive version of FIFA 23 for six cents.

But they have! Via PC Gamer, EA Sports have this week issued a statement saying:

A few weeks back, we scored a pretty spectacular own-goal when we inadvertently offered FIFA 23 pre-purchase on the Epic Games Store at an incorrect price. It was our mistake, and we wanted to let you know that we’ll be honoring all pre-purchases made at that price.

That’s nice for anyone who managed to score the savings, but let’s be real: EA isn’t really missing out on much here. While FIFA has always been and still is a full-price sports game that features singleplayer modes, in recent years the franchise’s Ultimate Team multiplayer mode has been making the company billions, so I’m sure the math on “Money lost on initial six cent sales” vs “Money made long-term through Ultimate Team” still worked out in the company’s favour.

FIFA 23 Was Accidentally Sold for 6 Cents – and EA Will Honor It

EA accidentally listed its $99.99 FIFA 23 Ultimate Edition for the equivalent of six cents on the Indian Epic Games Store, and the publisher will actually honor the price for those who bought it quickly enough.

As reported by PC Gamer, the mistake – which resulted in a 99.98% discount on the unreleased game – was quickly taken down, but not before several people were able to purchase it and share their elation on Twitter.

Taking it on the chin, EA emailed each Epic Games Store user who did so and admitted its blunder before confirming that it won’t demand the correct amount.

“A few weeks back, we scored a pretty spectacular own-goal when we inadvertently offered FIFA 23 pre-purchase on the Epic Games Store at an incorrect price,” the email said. “It was our mistake, and we wanted to let you know that we’ll be honouring all pre-purchases made at that price.”

Though it’s now back to normal, the significant price decrease coincides with what is a significant edition of the long-running football franchise. FIFA 23 will be the last of its name as EA opted not to pay the $250 million per year price tag and will instead start fresh in 2023 as EA Sports FC.

It’s also the first time a female player will grace an international FIFA’s cover in franchise history, as Chelsea star Sam Kerr is joined by PSG’s Kylian Mbappé on the Ultimate Edition. The move celebrates women’s clubs being added to FIFA for the first time, all of which are available to play when the game launches on September 30.

A gas station in California ‘turned into a circus’ after glitch only charged people 69 cents a gallon amid high prices

A gas pump is seen at a Chevron gas station on June 09, 2022 in Houston, Texas. Gas prices are breaching record highs as demand increases and supply fails to keep up. There are now over 10 states where the average price of gasoline is $5 a gallon or higher.Photo by Brandon Bell/Getty Images

  • People flocked to a California gas station where a glitch caused a major price drop.

  • Local news reported that gas cost only 69 cents a gallon for about three hours.

  • “I’ve never seen gas this price in my lifetime; could you imagine that?” Darryl Surita told CBS 13.

People rushed to a local gas station in Rancho Cordova, California, after a glitch caused prices to drop to 69 cents a gallon.

CBS 13 reported that the glitch occurred at a Shell gas station on Thursday. When people found out, they informed their family and friends about the low price, with one person, Eddie Surita, describing the scene as turning “into a circus within a matter of minutes,” per the outlet.

Darryl Surita, who posted the low price on his Instagram, told the news station that due to the error, he only paid $14 to fill up his tank.

“I looked at the numbers and it was 69 cents a gallon,” he told the outlet. “So you know what I did, I hit that button, and it started pumping, and the dollar sign just stayed low.”

According to local news reports, the employees were unaware of the mistake for about three hours.

KTXL reported that the gas was supposed to be listed as $6.99, but the decimal point was in the wrong place. Per the outlet, gas prices in the city are almost $7 a gallon. Nationally, gas prices are skyrocketing, with a gallon of gas costing $4.97.

“I’ve never seen gas this price in my lifetime, could you imagine that?” Darryl Surita told CBS 13. “This is history right here.”

Phoenix gas station owner sells gas 50 cents a gallon cheaper than what he buys it for to help customers

A man in Phoenix is losing hundreds of dollars each day after shaving nearly 50 cents off per gallon at his gas station to help customers weather skyrocketing fuel prices.

Jaswiendre Singh, who runs the business at the corner of Osborn Road and 20th Street, showed Arizona’s Family on Wednesday that he buys gas from a supplier for $5.66 per gallon but sells it for just $5.19 per gallon.

Singh started offering discounts as early as March, decreasing the gas station’s purchase price by 10 cents. But with gas prices still on the rise, he wanted to help even more.

“[I do it] to give a break to the customer and my community,” Singh told Arizona’s Family. “People don’t have the money right now.

“My mother and my father did teach us to help if you have something,” he continued. “If you have something you have to share with other people.”

With the gas station selling around 1,000 gallons a day, Singh loses about $500 per day. As a result, he and his wife are working longer hours.

Despite the losses, Singh said they have been worth it: “God gave me help. It doesn’t matter. We are not here to make money right now. I’m very happy to help the other people.”

Twitter users lauded Singh’s gesture. “Some heroes wear turbans,” one wrote.

Another commented, “A Real American. Good Job Mr. Singh.”

This is not the first time Singh has helped his customers spend less money – in 2007, he reportedly bought the gas station and lowered prices during the recession the following year.

Gas prices climb 5 cents overnight, Americans are paying nearly $2 more from just one year ago

Gas prices are still on the rise and could soon reach $5 per gallon, a figure that has forced some Americans to rethink their leisure travel.

The national average gas price climbed five cents Monday night into Tuesday and 10 cents since Saturday, now hitting a record $4.92 per gallon, according to the American Automobile Association.

Americans are paying $1.87 more than they were just a year ago, when the price was $3.05, per the AAA.

According to an industry expert, the price for a gallon of gas could touch or surpass $5.00.

Andy Lipow, president of Lipow Oil Associates, told FOX Business that the hurricane season could disrupt oil production, further driving up the price of gas.

GAS PRICES COULD REACH $5 THIS WEEK, EXPERT SAYS

“A major storm making landfall along the Gulf Coast, where 15% of the nation’s oil production and over 45% of the nation’s refinery capacity is located, can result in a significant supply disruption sending prices even higher,” Lipow said.

The hurricane season started June 1 and runs until November 30.

Summer travel and subsequently high fuel demand could further impact the price point, Lipow said.

As for the cause of the new record, economist Steve Moore said the still-surging price is the result of President Joe Biden’s own “self-inflicted wounds.”

“This is a result of policies that were implemented,” Moore continued. “These are self-inflicted wounds that are not a result of COVID. But in fact, because COVID’s basically over, we should be seeing less inflation, better growth.”

GAS PRICES ARE RESULT OF BIDEN’S POLICIES, ‘SELF-INFLICTED WOUNDS’: ECONOMIST STEVE MOORE

“I’d love to see President Biden say, we’re going to work toward a pause on the climate change craziness, and we’re going to continue to drill and to get American oil and gas. I think that would start to bring that oil price down,” he said during an interview on “Varney & Co.,” Monday. “I was looking at those charts you were showing earlier on the show, and it was amazing because, I think you said it was $4.45 a gallon for the national average for the gas price, it was about $2.39 or so a gallon the day that Joe Biden took office. So do the math there. That means that we’ve got a doubling in the gas price in 15 months.”

During a speech last month, Biden remarked the U.S. has “made enormous strides” in recovering its economy — and credited his own policies — while he blamed inflation and record-high gas prices on the coronavirus pandemic and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“I want every American to know that I’m taking inflation very seriously and it’s my top domestic priority,” Biden said at the White House on May 7.

FORMER DEMOCRAT SENATOR SAYS BIDEN ‘SAVED’ THE ECONOMY AND THAT IT’S ‘REALLY NOT DOING TOO BAD AT ALL’

“I want us to be crystal clear about the problem,” Biden added.

He continued, “There are two leading causes of inflation we’re seeing today. The first cause of inflation is a once-in-a-century pandemic. Not only did it shut down our global economy, it threw the supply chain and demand completely out of whack.”

“These supply challenges have been further hampered by the onset of Delta and Omicron viruses. And you’ve all seen it and you’ve all felt it,” Biden added.

“Some of the roots of the inflation are outside our control, to state the obvious,” he also said.
