The terrible news of the passing of Lisa Marie hit the world on January 12, as the musician died suddenly from a heart attack at age 54.
Lisa Marie suffered from drug addiction at various stages of her life and it is said that she was finding it very difficult to cope following the premature death of her 27-year-old son in 2020.
Cardiac arrest
According to the New York Post, Sgt. Sean Maloney of the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Office said they responded to a call in the 5900 block of Normandy Drive in Calabasas around 10:40 a.m. Thursday at the request of the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
Firefighters arrived on scene, administered CPR and she was transported to West Hills Hospital around 11:17 am. Lisa Marie’s mother, Priscilla (77), confirmed her daughter’s health status via a social media post a couple of hours before her death.
She will be buried alongside her father and her son
Presley will be buried at Graceland, just like her father and grandparents, while her son is also buried on the same site.
The family appealed to those who wish to send a donation to the Elvis Presley Charitable Foundation, an organisation which provides support to various charities related to the arts and education

EFE has had access to Shakira lawyers’ brief, in which she accuses the Spanish tax agency of having mounted a “media campaign” with the sole objective of “forcing” the singer so that, “despite her innocence, she pleads guilty and comes to an agreement with the accusations”.
For the defense, the Tax Agency has acted with the “unacceptable purpose” of “instrumentalizing” the Colombian singer with “exemplary purposes for the rest of Spanish taxpayers”, and for this purpose it has carried out “unusual actions” during the investigation of the case.
Specifically, Shakira‘s legal team reproach the Treasury for having resorted to “measures that violate the right to privacy such as requests to medical centers to obtain reserved information such as appointments and exams results” in order to demonstrate that between 2012 and 2014 the artist resided in Spain more than 183 days a year and, therefore, she was obliged to pay taxes in this country.
The defense of the Colombian star, however, claims to have “reliable evidence” that, “without the slightest hint of doubt”, she did not spend in Spain most of the year. As stated in the certificates of the Bahamian authorities, she was a tax resident in the country from 2004 until the end of 2014, when she settled in Barcelona due to her relationship with footballer Gerard Pique.
For this reason, they maintain that it is “radically false” that she simulated her residence in the Bahamas and emphasize that, since she began a relationship with Pique in 2011, her visits to Spain to meet with the footballer, “in the few free days that her intense professional agenda allowed her”, were always “publicized” even in her own social networks.
When in 2014 she decided to settle in Barcelona with Pique she communicated it “expressly” for the appropriate purposes to the Tax Agency, which accepted it “without discussion, thus assuming that until that date she had not resided in our country”, and since then she has “scrupulously” paid her taxes in Spain despite not being the “center of economic interests”
Shakira claims that in 2011 she spent at most 60 days in Spain, as her world tour included performances in cities such as Abu Dhabi, Bologna, Budapest, Bucharest, Belgrade, Croatia, Munich, Beirut, Minsk, St. Petersburg, Moscow, Rabat, Leon, Tijuana, Hermosillo, Genoa and Puerto Rico.

Jeff Rayner, a tabloid owner that claims that Thomas Markle is out to kill him, managed to obtain two years of court-ordered protection from Meghan Markle’s dad.
TMZ is reporting that according to legal documents obtained by them, a judge granted the restraining order to Rayner after Thomas Markle failed to show up for his September 13 hearing at court.
The order will have a two-year span and it’s also being reported that Markle was served the legal paperwork.
