Elon Musk says disgraced FTX CEO set his ‘bulls–t meter off’

Elon Musk says he knew disgraced FTX founder and former CEO Sam Bankman-Fried was full of it.

Back in March, Bankman-Fried offered via intermediaries to help Musk buy Twitter, according to texts leaked Friday by Twitter user Internal Tech Emails.

The texts show that Musk’s banker Michael Grimes told Musk that Bankman-Fried was offering “at least $3 billion” to help Musk fund the Twitter deal and wanted to talk about the potential for “social media blockchain integration.”

Musk was skeptical. He asked Grimes, “Does Sam actually have $3B liquid?”

After the texts were leaked, Musk replied on Twitter, “Accurate. He set off my bs detector, which is why I did not think he had $3B.”

At least $1 billion of customer funds — and possibly as much as $2 billion — have gone missing in the shocking implosion of the crypto currency exchange FTX, according to reports.

Musk’s take on Bankman-Fried, known in the industry as “SBF,” comes as FTX imploded late last week with reports that he secretly funneled $10 billion of customer funds into his trading company, Alameda Research

Trump slams Elon Musk as ‘bulls–t artist’ at Alaska GOP campaign rally

Former President Donald Trump called Elon Musk a “bulls–t artist” as he stumped for Republican midterm candidates in Anchorage, Alaska Saturday night.

Trump, 76, told supporters he predicted the world’s richest man would not go through with buying Twitter as he bashed the platform that banned him and promoted his Truth Social social media company.

Musk, 51, backed out of a $44 billion deal to buy the company Friday after he claimed it failed to provide information about its fake accounts.

Trump also claimed the SpaceX and Tesla boss voted for him and then lied about it.

“You know, he said the other day, ‘Oh, I’ve never voted for a Republican.’ I said, ‘I didn’t know that, he told me he voted for me.’ So he’s another bulls–t artist,” the Republican said.

The quip came after Musk said last month that he was “leaning” towards supporting GOP Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis for president in 2024.

Trump is said to be strongly considering a third consecutive bid for the presidency.

He was joined on stage at his “Save America” rally by US House candidate and former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin as well as Senate candidate Kelly Tshibaka, who is vying to unseat Republican Sen. Lisa Murkowski.

Draymond Green: ‘Bulls–t’ for Andre Drummond to Be Mistreated Amid Trade Rumors | Bleacher Report

Jeff Chiu/Associated Press

Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green called out the double standard in how players are treated when they request a trade compared to when a team decides to sit a player indefinitely while waiting to trade them, as is now the case with Cleveland Cavaliers center Andre Drummond.

KRON’s Jason Dumas provided Green’s full comments from Monday night, in which he described the Drummond situation as “bulls–t”:

ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski and Brian Windhorst reported Monday the Cavs have decided to move forward with Jarrett Allen as the full-time starting center and didn’t feel it was fair to Drummond to have him playing limited minutes, so the decision was made to sideline him until a deal is found.

Green pointed out how that’s considered acceptable, but when a player like James Harden wants to leave and the team doesn’t initially agree with the decision, the player is expected to show up to every practice and play every game or he becomes the subject of extreme ridicule.

Harden missed the start of training camp with the Houston Rockets before he was eventually traded to the Brooklyn Nets in mid-January as part of a four-team blockbuster.

Cavs head coach J.B. Bickerstaff called the decision to sit Drummond the “best for everybody.”

“Obviously none of us wanted it to come to this,” Bickerstaff told reporters. “I think you can let ‘Dre speak for himself, but we had a good relationship. He liked it here in Cleveland. So it was not something that was easily decided upon. Obviously we felt the same way about ‘Dre.”

Allen’s arrival to the Cavaliers, which came as part of the Harden trade, was a bit of a head-scratcher because of Drummond’s presence. Something had to give, and now it has with Cleveland deciding to move forward with a new starting center.

The biggest problem is that the NBA trade deadline isn’t until March 25, so Drummond could spend up to six weeks waiting in the wings if a deal isn’t found quickly.
