Honkai: Star Rail final closed beta test begins February 10

Honkai: Star Rail is a brand-new space fantasy RPG title featuring a journey towards vast unexplored worlds. The game features an intuitive turn-based combat system, large maps with maze explorations, puzzle-solving gameplay, and immersive storylines that together compose an interstellar melody filled with surprises and rewarding experiences, echoing in the entire universe!
In this universe, there are the [Aeons], incarnations of universal principles that are able to freely travel between infinite worlds using some kind of primitive force. The galaxy is packed with varied worlds that have unique landscapes and stories; the [Aeons] roaming the universe uphold their own beliefs. The protagonist, who was implanted with a [Stellaron], embarks on a trip aboard the Astral Express with a group of passengers who claim to have inherited the spirit of [the Trailblaze]. Together they will pursue the trails of [Aeons] to explore the realms of the universe.
In the final closed beta, players will be able to experience the origin of the story in Herta Space Station, and then set sail for the galaxy by exploring Jarilo-VI and Xianzhou Luofu, two major destinations with distinctive culture and scenery: Jarilo-VI, an ice-cold planet, has innumerable mysteries and dangers frozen beneath its snow caps awaiting further investigation. Xianzhou Luofu, which is unveiled for the very first time, is a gigantic dreadnought belonging to the Xianzhou Alliance, one of the most powerful and influential factions in the universe. As the second stop of the trailblazer’s grand journey, with its bustling cityscape and splendid architecture, the Xianzhou Luofu foreshadows the upcoming expedition infused with eastern fantasy, where tension ferments among various groups!
Besides roaming the worlds, uncovering mysteries, and bonding with characters, Trailblazers can also build their four-person combat team from a wide range of playable characters, among whom Bailu, Yanqing, Qingque, and Tingyun make their debuts. Players can hone their unique battle skills to address different kinds of opponents through the thrilling strategy turn-based combat system. In addition, the final closed beta will see Honkai: Star Rail implement new gameplay features such as co-op mode, companion missions, photo capturing, and more.

Android 13 QPR2 Beta 2.1 rolling out Bluetooth and 5G Pixel fixes
Similar to last cycle, Google is rolling out Android 13 QPR2 Beta 2.1 for Pixel phones as a bug fixer today.
Google identifies the following issues and fixes in this “minor update” to the initial Beta 2 release:
- Fixed an issue that sometimes prevented devices from automatically connecting to a 5G network even when it was available. (Issue #265093352)
- Fixed an issue where devices did not drop or reset an existing, encrypted Bluetooth connection after receiving a command to disable link-layer encryption for that connection.
The Android Beta Feedback app is available on Pixel phones to detail issues. You can access it from the app drawer or via Quick Settings to file bugs in the Google issue tracker, while the Android Beta community is on Reddit.
Android 13 QPR2 Beta 2.1 system images are available for the Pixel 4a, Pixel 4a 5G, Pixel 5, Pixel 5a, Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro, Pixel 6a, Pixel 7, and Pixel 7 Pro, as well as the Android Emulator. Google notes how:
If you’re already enrolled in the Android 13 beta QPR2 and your device is running Beta 2, you will automatically receive an over-the-air (OTA) update to Beta 2.1. If your device is still on Beta 1, you will automatically receive the Beta 2.1 patch once you update to Beta 2.
Beta 2.1 (T2B2.221216.008) contains the same January 2023 security patch.

YouTube Music Listening Room beta launching, sign-ups open
To “help shape the future of YTM,” the YouTube Music team is launching a “Listening Room” program to give selected users early access to features and provide feedback.
If selected for the “Listening Room,” you’ll get early access to new features and join an “exclusive group of users” on Discord, with the YouTube Music product team, to provide feedback.
Another perk is a free year of YouTube Music Premium. Requirements include:
- Be a lover of music
- Use YouTube Music as your primary music streaming service for a year (you can still continue using another music streaming service at the same time)
- Give regular feedback through conversations and polls on Discord
- Agree to NOT share any information — i.e. taking screenshots, pictures, or recordings of conversations or early features with anyone outside of the Discord group
The sign-up process on Google Forms asks how often you listen to streaming music, and what you consider to be your primary service. One interesting distinction is between the main YouTube app and YTM.
In addition to listing favorite artists and genres, there are seven possible user types that you’re asked to select from:
- Music is a huge part of my identity, and my friends know it. I’m always listening to new music, and I stay up to date with big music trends.
- I like discovering new music, but it’s not a huge part of my life. I often listen to music while socializing, gaming, or eating.
- I like staying in the know and being part of a music community, although I don’t have super strong opinions about music. I don’t want to miss out on the latest music trends.
- I like to listen to the same music over and over.
- I use music to change the mood and make moments more enjoyable. I usually rely on music services to stream music for me.
- I like to listen to nostalgic music, and I usually listen to music in the background while doing chores, traveling, commuting, or working out.
- Music defines and inspires me. I am highly opinionated about music, and I don’t care as much about music that is considered popular.
The team is also asking about form factor usage and frequency: Phone, Laptop / Desktop computer, Tablet, TV, Smart speaker, Smart display, and Smart watch.
There are questions about short-form video consumption, and how often you listen to audio-first content: podcasts, interviews, audiobooks.
There are then demographic questions, while you have to agree to not share any in-development features publicly, use YouTube Music as your primary streaming app for the next year, and provide regular/active feedback.
If accepted, you will be contacted in February 2023 with next steps.

Latest beta version of Samsung Internet gets new search, privacy features
Samsung has released an update to the beta version of the Samsung Internet web browser for Android devices. The updated version of the app brings two very useful features that will make browsing the web on this app much easier and more secure than before.
The first feature is the ability for you to search bookmarks folder and tab groups in the browser. If you save a lot of bookmarks or open many tabs, you might know that it can get tricky to look for the bookmark or tab you want. With the updated version of the app, you can just type the bookmark or tab you are looking for in the search box and the app will bring it up for you.
The other feature is the ability to delete the browsing history within a specified time range. For example, if you clear the browsing data with the time range set to one week, the browser will delete the browsing history for the last seven days while preserving the previous browsing history. Earlier, the only option people had was to delete the entire browsing history.
Both features have been available in browsers such as Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge for a very long time. While Samsung is late to the party, we are glad that it is at least here. Expect the two features to trickle down to the stable version of the app very soon. In the meantime, you can download Samsung Internet Browser Beta either from the Google Play Store or the Galaxy Store.
