2023 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am odds, picks: Proven golf model reveals projected leaderboard, surprising predictions

The 2022-23 PGA Tour season continues this week with a trip to California for the 2023 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. Play gets underway from a trio of course on Thursday, Feb. 2. Jordan Spieth, a 13-time PGA Tour champion, is listed as the 9-1 favorite according to the latest 2023 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am odds. He’s followed by Viktor Hovland (10-1), Matt Fitzpatrick (10-1), Maverick McNealy (16-1) and Tom Hoge (17-1) on the PGA odds board.

We simulated the 2023 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am 10,000 times, and there are some MAJOR surprises.

Our proprietary model, built by DFS pro Mike McClure, has been RED-HOT since the PGA Tour resumed in June of 2020. In fact, the model is up over $8,600 on its best bets since the restart, nailing tournament after tournament.

McClure’s model predicted Jon Rahm to finish on top of the leaderboard at the 2023 Sentry Tournament of Champions and The American Express. The model also included J.T. Poston in its best bets to win the 2022 John Deere Classic. That bet hit at +5500, and for the entire tournament, McClure’s best bets returned almost $1,100. At the 2022 Masters, McClure’s model was all over Scottie Scheffler’s first career major championship victory heading into the weekend.

In addition, McClure’s best bets included Collin Morikawa winning outright at the 2021 Open Championship, even though he was listed as a massive 40-1 longshot. The model was also all over Rahm’s (10-1) first career major championship victory at the 2021 U.S. Open. Rahm was two strokes off the lead heading into the weekend, but the model still projected him as the winner.

This same model has also nailed a whopping eight majors entering the weekend! Anyone who has followed it has seen MASSIVE returns!

One major surprise the model is calling for at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am 2023: Hoge, the defending champion and one of the favorites at 17-1, stumbles this week and doesn’t even crack the top-five. Another surprise: Keith Mitchell, a 31-1 longshot, makes a strong run at the title. He’s a target for anyone looking for a HUGE payday!

Also, the model is targeting THREE other golfers with odds of 24-1 or longer who will make a STRONG run at the title, including a massive 48-1 longshot who makes a strong run! Anyone who backs these golfers could hit it BIG. You ABSOLUTELY need to see who they are before locking in any 2023 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am picks!

So who wins the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am 2023? And which HUGE longshots make a serious run at the title? … Join SportsLine right now to see who you can bank on to win the 2023 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, and see which longshots make a run at the title, all from the model that’s nailed 8 majors!

Dallas Cowboys fight among themselves at AT&T Stadium after playoff loss to San Francisco 49ers

Adding insult to injury! Cowboys fans get into WILD brawl after watch party outside Dallas’ AT&T Stadium following playoff loss to San Francisco 49ers

The Dallas Cowboys’ season came to a close with Sunday’s 19-12 playoff loss to the San Francisco 49ers in California – but fans back in Texas weren’t going to accept defeat without a fight…among themselves.

Footage from outside the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas – home of Jerry Jones’ NFL team – showed Cowboys fans swinging punches at one another following the conclusion of Sunday’s game.

Fans initially gathered for a watch party earlier in the day at the MillerLite House, where locals usually gather to tailgate before and after games. It’s located on the stadium’s premises.

Cowboys fans were seen engaging in a fight between themselves after a 19-13 loss to the 49ers

The video starts with a fan wearing a white, Cowboys away jersey being constantly punched and kicked by other Dallas fans while crouching on the ground, trying to protect himself from any big hits.

At one point, another fan can be seen emptying his beer on those who seemed to appear to be the brawlers in an attempt to deflect their attention from the situation.

Then, a security guard, wearing an all black outfit, seems to come into play to knock off the fight and deescalate the fight. He grabs the fan from behind in what seems to be a protective move too.

The basis of the brawl remains unknown, but it’s fair to say that Cowboys have lost it after suffering another early postseason exit.

The Cowboys fan who had been hit appeared to lay motionless on the ground at one point

A security guard intervened to stop the fight after grabbing the injured fan from behind

Dallas has now failed to convert any of its last seven Division Round playoff meetings into wins

Dallas’ 27-year wait for a Super Bowl appearance goes on after once again exiting the NFL postseason early on.

The Cowboys haven’t reached the NFC Championship game since 1995 and have failed to convert any of their last seven occasions where they’ve made it to the Divisional Round.

‘I felt we were in a good situation to come in here and win this thing,’ owner Jerry Jones said after Sunday’s game. ‘Frankly, I wouldn’t say surprised, I would say just real disappointed that we maybe couldn’t make something happen.’

A franchise that won three Super Bowl titles in a four-year span early in Jones’ tenure (1993, 1994 and 1996). is now known mostly for playoff flops.

And now there will be speculation about the job security of coach Mike McCarthy, who has won one playoff game in three seasons — last week over Tampa Bay.

The Cowboys have not made a Super Bowl appearance under owner Jerry Jones since 1996

Amazon.

Apple Inc.

Meta Platforms Inc.

are among the tech heavyweights featured in a packed week of earnings that investors will probe for indicators about the broader economy.

Other tech companies scheduled to report their latest quarterly reports include Google parent company

Alphabet Inc.

and

Microsoft Corp.

Investors also will hear from airlines such as

Southwest Airlines Co.

and

JetBlue Airways Corp.

, automotive companies

General Motors Co.

and

Ford Motor Co.

, and energy giants

Chevron Corp.

and

Exxon

Mobil Corp.

Nearly a third of the S&P 500, or 161 companies, are slated to report earnings in the coming week, according to FactSet. Twelve bellwethers from the Dow Jones Industrial Average, including

Boeing Co.

and

McDonald’s

Corp., are expected to report as well.

The flurry of results from a broad set of companies will give a sense of how businesses are faring as they deal with inflation denting consumer spending, ongoing supply-chain challenges and a stronger dollar.

People awaited the release of Apple’s latest iPhones in New York last month. The company will report quarterly results on Thursday afternoon.

One area holding up to the challenges has been travel. Several airline companies have reported that consumers still have an appetite to spend on trips and vacations. On Friday,

American Express Co.

raised its outlook for the year in part because of a surge in travel spending.

“We expected the recovery in travel spending to be a tailwind for us, but the strength of the rebound has exceeded our expectations throughout the year,” American Express Chief Executive

Stephen Squeri

said.

In addition to airlines reporting, companies such as car-rental company

Hertz Global Holdings Inc.

and lodging companies

Hilton Worldwide Holdings Inc.

and

Wyndham Hotels & Resorts Inc.

will offer reads into leisure spending.

Overall, earnings for the S&P 500 companies are on track to rise 1.5% this period compared with a year ago, while revenue is projected to grow 8.5%, FactSet said.

Other companies will serve as a gauge for how consumers have responded to higher prices and whether they have altered their spending as a result.

Coca-Cola Co.

and

Kimberly-Clark Corp.

on Tuesday and

Kraft Heinz Co.

on Wednesday will show how consumers are digesting higher prices.

Mattel Inc.,

set to report on Tuesday, will highlight whether demand for toys remains resilient. Rival

Hasbro Inc.

issued a warning ahead of the holiday season.

United Parcel Service Inc.

will release its results on Tuesday and provide an opportunity to show how it is faring ahead of the busy shipping season. The Atlanta-based carrier’s earnings come weeks after rival

FedEx Corp.

warned of a looming global recession and outlined plans to raise shipping rates across most of its services in January to contend with a global slowdown in business.

Results from credit-card companies

Visa Inc.

and

Mastercard Inc.

will offer insights into whether inflation has finally put a dent in consumer spending after both companies reported resilient numbers last quarter.

Wireless carrier

T-Mobile US Inc.’s

numbers on Thursday will give more context to mixed results from competitors

Verizon Communications Inc.

and

AT&T Inc.

AT&T

issued an upbeat outlook on Thursday after its core wireless business exceeded the company’s expectations, whereas Verizon on Friday said earnings tumbled as retail customers balked at recent price increases.

Other notable companies lined up to report include

Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc.

on Tuesday, chicken giant

Pilgrim’s Pride Corp.

on Wednesday and chip maker

Intel Corp.

on Thursday.

iPhone 14 delivery dates Apple, AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon and more

Although the iPhone 14 has now launched, getting one in your hands may prove difficult.

It’s no surprise that Apple’s latest smartphone is proving to be a big seller. What’s perhaps surprising is how demand is outstripping Apple’s ability to send you one, particularly if you want an iPhone 14 Pro or iPhone 14 Pro Max.

If you’ve not placed your iPhone 14 order yet, and are wondering just when you can expect an iPhone to drop through your letterbox, we’ve collected the latest shipping data from Apple’s own website here.

That way you can figure out when it’s best to stay at home in case of delivery, or if it will make it in time for an important date like someone’s birthday or your next holiday.

As it stands, it looks like pretty much every version of the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max is now on backorder until October or early November. It doesn’t matter which color you pick, or how much storage you spec, you’re going to be waiting at least a month for a new Pro iPhone, and perhaps as long as six weeks if you want the bigger iPhone 14 Pro Max variant.

iPhone 14 delivery date: Apple Store

Model Estimated delivery date (U.S.) Estimated delivery date (U.K.)
iPhone 14 September 27 September 27
iPhone 14 Plus October 7 October 7
iPhone 14 Pro October 19-26 October 18 – 25
iPhone 14 Pro Max October 26- November 2 October 25 – November 1

The good news is that ordering the regular iPhone 14 won’t be an issue. You can order one now and have it arrive on Tuesday, or today if you’re willing to pay extra postage.

The iPhone 14 Plus isn’t due out until October 7 and it seems that pre-orders are currently within Apple’s expectations, since those are set to ship out the same day. This may change as the 7th approaches, so if you’re determined to get a Plus, you may want to order now.

However, we recommend reading our iPhone 14 Plus hands-on review or even wait until our full review comes in before hitting buy, so you’re well informed about the phone’s strength and weaknesses.

Meanwhile, the Pro models will keep you waiting until the end of October if you buy one now. That’s actually good news though, as Apple has previously estimated delivery by mid-November for the Pro Max.

iPhone 14 delivery date: AT&T

Model Earliest estimated U.S. delivery date (color/storage)
iPhone 14 September 28 – 29
iPhone 14 Plus October 14 – 21
iPhone 14 Pro October 11- 18
iPhone 14 Pro Max October 18 – 25

The iPhone 14 delivery times from AT&T are generally faster than Apple, as you can get the regular iPhone 14 within a couple of days.

There’s a longer wait for the iPhone 14 Pro (one week longer for colors other than Space Black though), and the longest wait is for the iPhone 14 Pro Max, which may not arrive until late October, or even later if you want the most in-demand Silver color. You may be able to shave a week off of the expected delivery date by speccing more storage though.

Note that you can also save up to $1,000 on the iPhone 14 via trade-in through AT&T (opens in new tab)

iPhone 14 delivery date: T-Mobile

Model Earliest estimated U.S. delivery date (color/storage)
iPhone 14 September 26 – 29
iPhone 14 Plus October 8-13
iPhone 14 Pro Backorder (September 27-30)
iPhone 14 Pro Max Backorder (October 13 – 27)

If you want the iPhone 14 Pro Max from T-Mobile before the holidays, you might want to hurry. The earliest that it promises your iPhone would arrive is mid-October, but the Silver model and Deep Purple models will take another five days on top, presumably due to high demand.

Annoyingly for users looking for a T-Mo-powered iPhone 14 Plus, two of the available colors’ shipping dates have already slipped to late October. So watch out if you want a Starlight or Product RED phone.

The iPhone 14 Pro says that it’s back ordered too, with the Silver model longer to arrive (October 10 – 24) out of all the standard 128GB versions. Meanwhile the regular iPhone 14 is ready to go right now, with shipping expected to take between one to four days.

T-Mobile has multiple iPhone 14 deals, including up to $800 off with trade-in and signing up for a Magenta Max plan. That’s basically getting an iPhone 14 for free.

iPhone 14 delivery date: Verizon

Model Earliest estimated U.S. delivery date (color/storage)
iPhone 14 In two days
iPhone 14 Plus October 7
iPhone 14 Pro October 7
iPhone 14 Pro Max October 21

As with most carriers and retailers, you’ll have no problem getting a regular iPhone 14 right away through Verizon, who’ll have one sent out to you within two days. Likewise with most iPhone 14 Plus models – they’ll arrive on launch day, unless you go for Product RED or Starlight colors, which seem to be more in demand and therefore arrive a week later.

The iPhone 14 Pro has a bit of a delay with October 7 as the delivery date (October 14 for the Deep Purple version, and October 28 in the case of the Silver version), but buying higher storage capacity versions can reduce that wait, with immediate shipping available in some cases.

The iPhone 14 Pro Max is estimated to arrive by October 21. But at least you can pick any color you like without changing that estimate.

Verizon’s iPhone 14 deals (opens in new tab) include saving up to $800 with you trade in your old phone with select unlimited plans.

iPhone 14 delivery date: Best Buy

Model Estimated U.S. delivery date
iPhone 14 Tomorrow
iPhone 14 Plus October 7
iPhone 14 Pro September 28
iPhone 14 Pro Max Tomorrow

Shipping dates from Best Buy are a little mixed-up, but they at least seem more optimistic than Apple’s.

For the iPhone 14 at Best Buy (opens in new tab) you can get it in any color by tomorrow. You can even pick one up in certain locations within the hour if you wish, Meanwhile, the iPhone 14 Plus isn’t on sale anywhere yet, so Best Buy lists its shipping and pick-up dates for release day (October 7).

You can still get an iPhone 14 Pro model by tomorrow if you’re happy to have it in Gold. If you’re after Deep Purple or Space Black, that will take longer though, as they’re due to arrive by September 28; while picking Silver means you’ll be waiting until October 14.

The estimated delivery for most Pro Max models is October 14. However, some can arrive as sooner, provided you’re buying more than the 128GB base storage. For those models, you’ll be waiting until at least October 14th according to Best Buy’s store page.

iPhone 14 delivery date: Walmart

Model Earliest estimated U.S. delivery date
iPhone 14 September 29
iPhone 14 Plus October 14
iPhone 14 Pro September 29
iPhone 14 Pro Max September 29

Walmart’s selection of iPhone 14 (opens in new tab) models is holding up well in most cases. You can get a base iPhone 14 by September 29, unless you want it in Purple or Starlight, in which case you’ll need to wait another couple of days. The iPhone 14 Plus isn’t out yet, so you’ll be waiting until October 14 for one of those to arrive.

The iPhone 14 Pro can be yours from September 29, or October 3 if you want the Silver one.

The iPhone 14 Pro Max will arrive by September 29 as well if you want it in Space Black. The Gold and Deep Purple versions arrive a bit later on October 3 while the Silver model is currently sold out in its standard 128GB guise. The only available capacity for silver is 512GB, which has an October 3 shipping estimate.

iPhone 14 delivery date: is it worth the wait?

We like all three of the iPhone 14 models we’ve reviewed so far, although in slightly different ways. The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max models are definitely the ones to get if you can afford them, because they feature all of Apple’s latest upgrades like an always-on display, Dynamic Island cutout and a 48MP main camera.

The iPhone 14 is more like an improved iPhone 13 rather than a whole new phone, but is still worth an upgrade if your current phone’s a couple of years old.

US manufacturing jobs return as AT&T, Corning launch Arizona plant

EXCLUSIVE: The private sector is creating the first fiber-optic manufacturing facility in the western U.S. as the industry tries to keep up with record demand to expand broadband access and bring jobs back home.

Corning, in partnership with AT&T, will make the announcement on Tuesday from the site of the future plant in Gilbert, Arizona, which is expected to be operational by 2024. The project will expand manufacturing capacity for optical cable, which is critical for internet access and 5G.

The move will bring manufacturing jobs back home, a goal on both sides of the political aisle, as the U.S. economy tries to keep up with competitors on a range of technology. Japan and China are the top exporters of fiber-optic cable, according to the most recent data tracked by the Observatory of Economic Complexity.

The companies say demand for the product surged during the pandemic after supply chain issues created short-term shortages and more Americans began working remotely. Today, about three-quarters of adults in the U.S. have access to broadband internet at home, according to the Pew Research Center.

“It’s the last mile that’s the challenging part,” AT&T CEO John Stankey told FOX Business in an exclusive joint interview with Corning CEO Wendell Weeks. “There’s been an awful lot of core infrastructure put in place. Now we’ve got to get out to the homes. We’ve got to get out to those smaller businesses that haven’t had the benefit of fiber.”

The project is expected to create 250 jobs, but that is far short of what experts say the industry needs to support its long-term goals. Corning estimates an additional 850,000 jobs must be created through 2025 to install the fiber-optic cable once it is made and ready to be deployed.

“This new facility will provide additional optical cable capacity to meet the record demand the industry is seeing for fast, reliable connectivity,” Stankey said in an earlier statement on Tuesday. “We are also working with Corning to create training programs to equip the next generation of technicians with the skills to build the networks that will expand high-speed internet access to millions of Americans.”

The project is part of a nearly $500 million private commitment from Corning to expand broadband access. It comes amid a renewed focus on getting Americans internet access, after the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law passed last year allocated $65 billion in new spending for broadband.

“This is a technology where we lead,” Weeks added. “It’s our job to make sure we have enough capacity in the ground to serve the surging demand. That’s what this announcement is about.”
