About

Puzzle Bobble is a series of puzzle games in which the player fires bubbles from the bottom of the screen, and the bubbles pop when three or more of the same color stick together.

The player clears each stage when they meet the conditions for that stage. Higher points are scored when many bubbles are dropped at once or when bubbles are popped by shooting bubbles and bouncing them off the walls.

Have fun playing alone in puzzle mode, where you can take your time solving puzzles, or with a friend in versus mode, where you fire bubbles at each other.

Type Arcade announced to release in 2023

Street Fighter’s history with the arcades goes back all the way to the beginning, serving as a major reason the series exploded in popularity, and that legacy will be continuing.

Capcom and Taito have announced that Street Fighter 6: Type Arcade will be releasing in 2023.

It appears Type Arcade will be running on Taito’s NESiCAxLive service similarly to Street Fighter 5: Type Arcade though the big difference is arcade players won’t need to wait 3 years to get the cabinets.

There’s not really any other details about what’s exactly going to be included in SF6’s arcade version.

We can, however, make some educated guesses from SF5, considering that Type Arcade allowed players to connect their NESiCA card to their Capcom ID to carry over any content and characters if they already owned the home release.

It’s also probably safe to assume that SF6 Type Arcade won’t include the single player World Tour mode.

What will be interesting to see is if Capcom and Taito will still have the Battle Hub like the consoles where users can walk around in a virtual arcade with their custom avatars or just limit it to standard menu selections.

No firm release date has been set for the arcade version aside from the 2023 general window.

Street Fighter 6: Type Arcade will of course be focused almost exclusively on the Japanese arcade scene, so don’t go expecting to see their cabinets at your local place.

The official website for Street Fighter 6: Type Arcade can be found here.

Feist pulls out of Arcade Fire tour, citing allegations against frontman Win Butler

Indie rock singer Feist said Thursday she would no longer tour with Arcade Fire after the band’s frontman Win Butler was accused of sexual misconduct.

The artist, whose full name is Leslie Feist, pulled out of the “We” tour two days after it began in Ireland, she explained in a letter to fans.

Butler, 42, has denied a Pitchfork report published last week in which three women accused him of inappropriate sexual interactions and another person accused him of sexual assault.

“I can’t continue,” Feist, 46 wrote of her “incredibly difficult” choice in a lengthy letter posted on Twitter that explained her thought process.

“To stay on tour would symbolize I was either defending or ignoring the harm caused by Win Butler and to leave would imply I was the judge and jury,” she wrote.

“I was never here to stand for or with Arcade Fire — I was here to stand on my own two feet on a stage.”

“The Bad In Each Other” artist said her songs ultimately made the decision for her after she played them during the tour’s first two dates.

“Hearing them through this lens was incongruous with what I’ve worked to clarify for myself through my whole career,” she wrote.

“I’ve always written songs to name my own subtle difficulties, aspire to my best self and claim responsibility when I need to. And I’m claiming responsibility now and going home.”

Feist was slated to open for her fellow Canadians during the tour’s European leg. No replacement had been named. Beck is set to pick up supporting act duties when the tour reaches the states late next month.

Feist leaves Arcade Fire tour after sexual misconduct claims against frontman | Feist

The Canadian singer-songwriter Leslie Feist, known mononymously as Feist, has announced she will leave a tour with Arcade Fire following allegations of sexual misconduct against the band’s frontman, Win Butler.

A Pitchfork investigation published last week alleged that the 42-year-old singer-guitarist of the Canadian indie rock band took advantage of age gaps and fandom with four people; three women, aged 18 to 23 at the time, alleged Butler sent unwanted sexual messages between the years 2015 and 2020.

A fourth, gender-fluid, person alleged that Butler sexually assaulted them twice in 2015, when they were 21 and he was 34. Pitchfork viewed screenshots of text and Instagram messages between Butler and the four pseudonymous subjects, and interviewed friends and family members who recalled being told of the alleged incidents.

Butler denied the claims and said the relationships were consensual, adding in a statement: “It is deeply revisionist, and frankly just wrong, for anyone to suggest otherwise.”

“At a pub in Dublin, after rehearsing with my band, I read the same headline you did,” Feist wrote in a lengthy statement posted to her social media accounts. “We didn’t have any time to prepare for what was coming let alone a chance to decide not to fly across the ocean into the belly of this situation.”

“This has been incredibly difficult for me and I can only imagine how much more difficult it’s been for the people who came forward. More than anything I wish healing to those involved.”

She added that the Pitchfork article “ignited a conversation that is bigger than me, it’s bigger than my songs and it’s certainly bigger than any rock and roll tour … To stay on tour would symbolize I was either defending or ignoring the harm caused by Win Butler and to leave would imply I was the judge and jury.”

The 46-year-old singer said she “was never here to stand for or with Arcade Fire – I was here to stand on my own two feet on a stage, a place I’ve grown to feel I belong and I’ve earned as my own.

“There isn’t a singular path to heal when you’ve endured any version of the above, nor a singular path to rehabilitate the perpetrators,” she said. “It can be a lonely road to make sense of ill treatment. I can’t solve that by quitting, and I can’t solve it by staying. But I can’t continue.”

Following the allegations, radio stations in Canada and the US started pulling the band’s songs from playlists. Commentators on social media urged fans to boycott forthcoming concerts in Britain, France, Germany, Spain, Italy and elsewhere, with many surprised the tour was going ahead at all. Asked for comment by a Guardian reporter at the band’s concert in Dublin this week, a publicist for Arcade Fire said only that the band would continue its tour to promote their new album, We.

In her statement, Feist distanced herself from public shaming, which “might cause action, but those actions are made from fear, and fear is not the place we find our best selves or make our best decisions. Fear doesn’t precipitate empathy nor healing nor open a safe space for these kinds of conversations to evolve, or for real accountability and remorse to be offered to the people who were harmed.”

In a statement to Pitchfork, Butler, who is married to bandmate Régine Chassagne, acknowledged having had sexual interactions with each of the four people, but said they were not initiated by him and were consensual.

In a further statement, he apologised “to anyone who I have hurt with my behaviour”, adding: “I am continuing to learn from my mistakes and working hard to become a better person, someone my son can be proud of […] I’m sorry I wasn’t more aware and tuned in to the effect I have on people – I fucked up, and while not an excuse, I will continue to look forward and heal what can be healed, and learn from past experiences.”

Noting that she’s “imperfect” and will “navigate this decision imperfectly”, Feist concluded that “the best way to take care of my band and crew and my family is to distance myself from this tour, not this conversation. The last two nights on stage, my songs made this decision for me. Hearing them through this lens was incongruous with what I’ve worked to clarify for myself through my whole career.

“I’ve always written songs to name my own subtle difficulties, aspire to my best self and claim responsibility when I need to. And I’m claiming my responsibility now and going home.”

Arcade Fire: inside first concert since accusations of sexual misconduct against frontman Win Butler | Arcade Fire

Rón Maguire was near the front of the queue for Arcade Fire’s concert in Dublin on Tuesday evening, the start of the band’s European tour, and marooned somewhere between agony and ecstasy.

“I’ve been listening to them my whole life,” said the 20-year-old student, who wore a homemade Arcade Fire T-shirt. “But this news, jeez Louise, I’ve been in ribbons. There are many musicians that do horrid things, but Win?”

Earlier this week the singer Win Butler was accused of sexual misconduct by four people. He has denied the allegations, yet it left some fans with tickets to the first night of their European tour – and their first show since the allegations emerged on Saturday – with a dilemma: to go or not to go?

Radio stations in Canada and the US have started pulling the band’s songs from playlists. Commentators on social media have urged fans to boycott forthcoming concerts in Britain, France, Germany, Spain, Italy and elsewhere. Some fans in Dublin said on Twitter they had decided to not attend.

Many were surprised the tour was going ahead at all. Asked for comment, a publicist for Arcade Fire said only that the band would continue its tour, which promotes its new album, We.

In the 3Arena the show’s opening act, the Canadian singer Feist, made no mention of the allegations during her performance. She displayed a poster on her merchandise stall pledging to donate the proceeds from her sales to Women’s Aid, an Irish charity that helps victims of domestic abuse. Her publicist did not return a request for comment.

Maguire’s solution to the dilemma was to defer learning details of the allegations against Butler until after the show. “I’d much rather not know now. I think once in I’ll be in the zone. I’ll read about it when I get home. I’ll be upset.”

Maguire’s companion, JD Carey, 18, came in solidarity with her friend but felt queasy. “It’s horrible for the victims to see fans still supporting the band.”

Inside the arena Shan Conley, 19, echoed the sentiment. “I wouldn’t have bought the ticket if the news had come out before. I wouldn’t want to contribute to his earnings if he had done something like that.”

Her companion, Steve Dowling, 20, had no doubts about attending. “Until he’s proven guilty it’s just allegations.”

An investigation by the US music publication Pitchfork found that four individuals, aged between 18 and 23 at the time, allege Butler behaved inappropriately. The three women, and one gender-fluid person, accuse the singer of exploiting his fame and their fandom, including sending unwanted sexual messages, during incidents that occurred between 2015 and 2020, when Butler was between 34 and 39.

Butler said the relationships were consensual: “It is deeply revisionist, and frankly just wrong, for anyone to suggest otherwise.”

The controversy has shocked many because Arcade Fire became indie music aristocracy – they played Barack Obama’s inauguration – on the back of anthemic songs and a wholesome, politically progressive image. Butler’s longtime partner Régine Chassagne performs with the band and defended him to Pitchfork, saying she was “certain” he had never touched a woman without consent.

Butler caused a frisson just before the Dublin show when he strode through the arena and greeted surprised, delighted fans. One woman, who just minutes earlier had learned of the allegations via Twitter, posed with the Grammy-winner for selfies, beaming. She would read about the allegations after the show, she said.

Asked by the Guardian if he would address the controversy from the stage Butler paused, shrugged, offered a handshake and walked away.

Taking to the stage to deafening cheers from a near capacity arena, Butler thanked the audience “from the bottom of my heart” for attending. It was the closest he came to alluding to the allegations.

Minimising banter, he launched into the band’s classic hit, Wake Up, and delivered an energetic set with Chassagne and the rest of the band, mixing old hits and new songs.

The band left the stage to a clip of Ben E King’s Stand By Me, another possible allusion to the situation.

The rapturous response from the crowd – and the lack of any obvious heckling – suggested these fans, at least, were keeping the faith.

“He’s a rock star, it comes with the territory, it’s the lifestyle,” said Dessie Hamill, 60, who had left his Northern Ireland home that morning to nab a spot at the front of the stage. “Women are chasing him every day of the week. They are one of the biggest bands in the world.”

Others were unaware of the allegations and, when told, shrugged them off. “No offence to the male species but a man’s a man,” said one woman in her 30s. “I’m just here for the music.”

Others conceded unease but said they separated art from the artist. “I’m not justifying anything but different artists have had questionable behaviour in the past and you still listen to the music,” said Silvia D’Angelo, 31, from Italy.

Another female fan, aged 29, echoed the sentiment. “People still listen to Michael Jackson.” She declined to give her name, citing the reaction of younger “woke” colleagues.

Pat O’Leary, 50, said the allegations surprised him. “Arcade Fire would have a certain cachet about trying to do the right thing.” He had bought a T-shirt whose proceeds went to Haiti. Sexual misconduct allegations tainted other creative figures such as Woody Allen and Roman Polanski, said O’Leary. “Would it stop me watching Chinatown? No.”

Arcade Fire’s tour set to move forward following allegations

Allegations of sexual misconduct against Arcade Fire co-leader Win Butler surfaced over the weekend in a report on Pitchfork, days before the band’s tour was scheduled to begin in Dublin. The first show is set to happen tonight (8/30) at 3Arena, and all signs point to it moving ahead, with the venue posting set times on social media.

The FADER also confirmed with a “well-placed source” on Monday (8/29) that the shows would continue as scheduled. Openers Feist (on the UK dates) and Beck (on the US dates) have not publicly commented.

Some ticketholders have been calling for refunds or asking the band to cancel or postpone the shows after hearing about the allegations, which were made by multiple people.

In a statement made through crisis public relations expert Risa Heller, Win admitted to having “relationships outside of [his] marriage” with Régine Chassagne but called them “consensual,” saying, “I have never touched a woman against her will, and any implication that I have is simply false. I vehemently deny any suggestion that I forced myself on a woman or demanded sexual favors.”

Régine also gave a statement, saying, “I know he has never, and would never, touch a woman without her consent and I am certain he never did.”

This is a developing story.
