Jennifer Aniston cut ties with ‘a few people’ over COVID vaccine

Jennifer Aniston is drawing a hard line between her and those who aren’t vaccinated against COVID-19.

The “Friends” alum revealed to InStyle magazine that she has cut ties with “a few people” who won’t receive the jab.

“There’s still a large group of people who are anti-vaxxers or just don’t listen to the facts. It’s a real shame,” she said in her InStyle September cover interview.

“I’ve just lost a few people in my weekly routine who have refused or did not disclose [whether or not they had been vaccinated], and it was unfortunate.”

The Golden Globe winner, 52, said it’s a “moral and professional obligation to inform” people of the benefits of the vaccine but acknowledged people have their own beliefs.

“It’s tricky because everyone is entitled to their own opinion — but a lot of opinions don’t feel based in anything except fear or propaganda,” she said.

Aniston has been vocal throughout the fight against coronavirus, urging her Instagram followers to “wear a damn mask.”

“I understand masks are inconvenient and uncomfortable. But don’t you feel that it’s worse that businesses are shutting down… jobs are being lost… health care workers are hitting absolute exhaustion,” she wrote alongside a selfie of her in a mask. “And so many lives have been taken by this virus because we aren’t doing enough.”

She also warned of the dangers of COVID by sharing a shocking photo of her friend Kevin in the hospital and intubated.

“We can’t be so naive to think we can outrun this…if we want this to end, and we do, right?” she wrote. “The one step we can take is PLEASE #wearadamnmask.”

Jennifer Aniston admits she has ‘lost’ some friends who didn’t get the COVID vaccine: ‘It’s a real shame’

Jennifer Aniston admitted she’s recently lost some friends who “refused” or “did not disclose” their coronavirus vaccination status.

The 52-year-old actress has been publicly supportive of social distancing, wearing masks to prevent the spread of the virus and getting vaccinated.

“There’s still a large group of people who are anti-vaxxers or just don’t listen to the facts,” Aniston told Instyle in an interview published Tuesday. “It’s a real shame.”

“I’ve just lost a few people in my weekly routine who have refused or did not disclose [whether or not they had been vaccinated], and it was unfortunate,” she added.

“I feel it’s your moral and professional obligation to inform, since we’re not all podded up and being tested every single day,” Aniston insisted. “It’s tricky because everyone is entitled to their own opinion — but a lot of opinions don’t feel based in anything except fear or propaganda.”

Aniston strongly pleaded with her Instagram followers last summer to mask up as the number of cases across the United States continued to grow.

“This simple and effective recommendation is being politicized at the expense of peoples’ lives,” Aniston wrote about wearing face masks at the time. “And it really shouldn’t be a debate.”

The “Friends” actress revealed she received the second dose of the coronavirus vaccine on May 7.

“We are extremely lucky and privileged to have access to Covid-19 vaccines in the U.S. right now,” Aniston wrote in the caption of a photo sharing the news. “Unfortunately, that’s not the case everywhere… and as we know, the health of one of us affects all of us. Thinking about those who do not or will not have the opportunity to get vaccinated and hug their friends and family.”

Jennifer Aniston on vaccines: ‘A lot of opinions don’t feel based in anything except fear’

In a new interview with In Style, the actress admitted she’s been strict about keeping vaccinated company in her circle, noting in the process that there’s a “large group of people” who “just don’t listen to the facts.”

“It’s a real shame. I’ve just lost a few people in my weekly routine who have refused or did not disclose [whether or not they had been vaccinated], and it was unfortunate,” she said. “I feel it’s your moral and professional obligation to inform, since we’re not all podded up and being tested every single day.”

Aniston did not clarify whether she was referring to friends, acquaintances or those who work with or for her.

“It’s tricky because everyone is entitled to their own opinion — but a lot of opinions don’t feel based in anything except fear or propaganda,” Aniston added. (Click here for vaccine facts.)

Aniston, who currently stars in Apple TV+’s “The Morning Show,” added that she watches a lot of news — and CNN (thanks, Jen!) — but admits to feeling some “news fatigue” during the pandemic “because we were hoping one day we would wake up and hear something hopeful, and all we got was more insanity.”

The last year wasn’t all insanity for Aniston.

The long-awaited “Friends” reunion on HBO Max was well received by fans and resulted in four Emmy nominations, including for outstanding variety special. Next up, the star will be seen in the second season of “The Morning Show,” which returns September 17.

Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow spent July 4th together

On this episode, it’s the “One With the Fireworks.”

Courteney Cox celebrated the Fourth of July holiday with her “Friends” co-stars Lisa Kudrow, and Jennifer Aniston.

“Happy 4th! xoxo,” Cox, 57, wrote on Instagram along with a fresh snap of the legendary sitcom trio.

Fans promptly freaked out and the post already has more than 2.5 million “hearts” as of Monday morning.

The get together was reminiscent of the last time the sitcom co-stars hung out — but this time with the addition of Emmy- and Oscar-winning actress Laura Dern, 54, who is pictured in a second photo.

Earlier this year, the original six-some came together for an on-screen reunion hosted by James Corden, 42, on HBO Max.

Aniston, 52, Kudrow, 57, and Cox skyrocketed into the spotlight after the premiere of the “Friends” in 1994, becoming best pals on and off screen for all 10 seasons.

The cast of the classic sitcom actually has a history of documenting their mini off-screen reunions over the years on social media, sharing selfies to commemorate each one with their millions of Instagram followers.

Meanwhile, the much-buzzed-about HBO Max special was one of the only times the group of six were in the same room since the series finale. In the tell-all reunion, the cast sang with Lady Gaga, reunited with old guest stars, and gushed about Ross and Rachel’s feelings spilling out into real life.

This Jennifer Aniston Doppelgänger Will Make Your Jaw Drop

Is that who we think it is?!

Many pop culture fans scrolling through TikTok this week came across a user who looked exactly like Jennifer Aniston. After a closer investigation, they discovered it was @she_plusthree (real name Lisa Tranel) who looks a lot like the A-list actress.

In her viral TikTok, Lisa lip-synced to an iconic quote from Jennifer’s Friends character Rachel Green.

“I want to quit,” Rachel said in a 1997 episode when talking to BFF Monica Geller (Courteney Cox). “But then I think I should stick it out. Then, I think why would such a person stay in such a demeaning job just because it’s remotely related to the field they are interested in.”

Maybe it’s Lisa’s facial expressions. Perhaps it’s her blonde locks that are just a little longer than the iconic Rachel cut. Whatever the case may be, fans can’t get enough of the video that has received close to 345,000 likes in just one day.

David Letterman receives backlash for a 1998 Jennifer Aniston interview in which he sucks her hair

David Letterman receives more backlash for a 1998 interview with Jennifer Aniston in which he sucks her hair… after his troubling chat with Lindsay Lohan from 2013 resurfaced

In the fallout after the recent bombshell documentary Framing Britney Spears, several past interviews are coming under fresh scrutiny for how female subjects were mishandled.

One such case has arisen from a 1998 chat between Jennifer Aniston – then at the height of her fame thanks to Friends – and late night host David Letterman.

The interview clip has trended on social media, since Letterman, now 73, randomly comes out from behind his desk and, unbidden, approaches Aniston and puts a section of her hair in his mouth.

‘Forgive me if this is rude. I just want to try one thing,’ David says to her in the clip.

Then, approaching her and putting his hand on her shoulder, Letterman takes strands of the actress’s hair and places them in his mouth, even though at one point she screams and recoils.

The comic superstar, now 52, does her best in the video to appear unfazed, but many users on Twitter observed that she seemed weirded out by the whole bit.

Blowback online: The clip met with a disgusted reaction from many Twitter users recently

‘That was something that I’ll never forget,’ Aniston says in the clip after the strange moment.

And when Letterman later asks if she was ‘traumatized’ by the interlude, she responded, ‘I am.’

Soon after the Britney Spears documentary aired on Hulu, a 2013 clip from the late show resurfaced on social media which featured Lindsay Lohan.

The former child star, frequently thrust into the public eye when dealing with personal troubles including drug addiction and DUI’s over the years, was grilled by the late night comedian.

The badgering, which started out jokingly, reached a point in which Lohan started to cry.

These interactions have drawn newfound attention after an early-2000s interview of Spears, conducted by Diane Sawyer, was featured in Framing Britney Spears earlier this month.

That chat showed Sawyer insinuating that Spears had been the one at fault for her breakup with Justin Timberlake, and also asking the performer to answer to those accusing her of an over-sexualized image.

The end of the interview resulted in Britney breaking down and cutting it short, which inspired many Twitter users to speak up about how the superstar was mistreated at the time.
