Sephiroth and Kazuya Amiibo Are Now Available

Good news, Nintendo fans. One of gaming’s most iconic and popular characters is now available in one of gaming’s most popular and iconic collectibles. The Sephiroth amiibo is available to purchase right now from Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, and Target. And for fans of Kazuya, you can pick him up too.

Where to Buy the Sephiroth Amiibo

Where to Buy the Kazuya Amiibo

The Kazuya amiibo is also available right now, and is also super cool.

Both the Sephiroth amiibo and the Kazuya amiibo are part of the newest wave of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate line of amiibo figures. There’s also amiibo for Pyra and Mythra coming sometime this year, although Nintendo hasn’t yet announced the release dates for that pair.

As far as amiibo go… these might be some of the best, ever? The Sephiroth amiibo alone is just extraordinary, but the Kazuya one also carries over that same attention to detail. But come on, we all know which of the two you’re planning on getting!

Sephiroth’s popularity in gaming is undeniable. Go to any gaming-related forum or discord server and you’ll find at least one username based on “Sephiroth” or his identity as the one-winged angel. Even his theme music is one of the most iconic in gaming.

Preorders of these sold out quickly, but they’re back in stock now for their release date. Who knows how long stock will last? Not I.

Zelda amiibo Listings Surface Online Ahead Of Tears Of The Kingdom Release

Image: Nintendo Life / Zion Grassl

Nintendo is launching The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom in May of this year and it seems like there could also be a Zelda amiibo restock taking place ahead of this game’s release.

New pre-order listings for Nintendo’s existing Zelda amiibo line have surfaced on French e-commerce site fnac. According to the same listing, these amiibo will be re-released in France next month. Here’s the rundown of the possible restocks (via Nintendo Wire):

– Majora’s Mask Link
– Wolf Link
– Rider Link
– Archer Link
– Ocarina of Time Link
– Twilight Princess Link
– Pixel Link
– Guardian
– Wind Waker Link
– Skyward Sword Link
– Zelda – BoTW Version
– Zelda – Toon
– Bokoblin
– Zelda – Smash Bros.

In The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, amiibo allowed the player to unlock special items and extra goodies on a daily basis. There’s been no mention of amiibo support just yet for Tears of the Kingdom, but if it was included, it wouldn’t necessarily be a surprise.

Nintendo is known to restock amiibo ahead of major game releases. Most recently, it restocked older Fire Emblem amiibo ahead of the Fire Emblem Engage launch later this month. This game will also include amiibo support. The Japanese company also did the same thing with the Splatoon line before the arrival of Splatoon 3 last year (another title to feature amiibo support).

Kazuya & Sephiroth amiibo Release 13th January, Pyra & Mythra Arrive In 2023

Image: Nintendo

Although Nintendo is done with Super Smash Bros. Ultimate development, it is still busy making amiibo for the game’s DLC fighters.

If you’ve been wondering about the next batch, Nintendo has today finally confirmed Final Fantasy’s Sephiroth and Tekken’s Kazuya will be arriving early next year on 13th January 2023. In addition to this, it’s also given fans a first look at the Pyra and Mythra (Xenoblade Chronicles 2) amiibo – launching at some point in 2023.

Masahiro Sakurai previously confirmed these four amiibo in his final Super Smash Bros. Ultimate presentation. Presumably, Sora from Kingdom Hearts (the final DLC fighter) will follow these four figures.

Will you be adding any of these upcoming amiibo to your collection? Tell us below.

Rumour: This Might Be Our First Look At Sephiroth’s Super Smash Bros. amiibo

Image: Nintendo

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate might be done with development, but Nintendo is still releasing amiibo for it on a regular basis.

Now that the Minecraft amiibo Steve & Alex have been released, the focused has switched to the Final Fantasy VII antagonist Sephiroth. Masahiro Sakurai and Nintendo haven’t actually publically shown off the amiibo yet.

With this in mind, we’ve now got a photo (via @zaypiie on Twitter) – potentially giving us a first look. One reply suggests it’s from the Zürich Pop Con & Game Show, which took place on the weekend. There seems to be a crowd of people in the cabinet’s reflection, as well as amiibo below Sephiroth.

Keep in mind, this is just a photo plucked from social media – and we haven’t been given an official look at the Sepiroth amiibo just yet. Masahiro Sakurai’s only announced it. Following Sephiroth will be Pyra, Mythra, Kazuya, and presumably Sora from Kingdom Hearts.

10 Splatoon 3 Players Who Are Total Hypebeasts

I wonder where Splatsville’s runway is…
Image: Nintendo

If you’ve spent any amount of time sauntering around Splatoon 3’s new hub world of Splatsville, then you’ve undoubtedly seen some of the drippiest fashion known in this city of inky chaos. No joke, the fits are so clean—and so bizarre—that I couldn’t help but chronicle the best of the best. From the ubiquity of school uniforms to the preppiest getups, I’ve collected 10 of the freshest digs I’ve seen in my time with the colorful ink ‘em up.

Read More: Everyone Cares About Splatoon 3 More Than You Think

Fashion has always been a prominent component of Splatoon, especially because the gear you dress your squid kid in directly affects your overall stats. Clothing can do things like increase your ink reserves so you can throw more paint or beef up your defenses against ink so you can tank more damage. You can find out the abilities each piece of gear bestows at the shops located within Splatsville where you can buy, upgrade, and trade in apparel using in-game money.

Cash isn’t the only way to unlock garments, though. As was the case with OG Splatoon, the threequel features Amiibo support, which is a nice way of saying that some of the best—or drippiest—clothes in the game are locked behind you owning specific Amiibo. Murch, the hot sea urchin who can order some gear at a pretty high premium, can’t help you out here.

Still, the threads on display in Splatsville are incredibly eye-catching. In the slides that follow, you’ll see an eclectic mix of styles, including creepy Chuck-E-Cheese-like mascots and folks who look like Brotherhood of Steel rejects from the Fallout series. Plenty of people are reliving ‘90s-era fashion with some bold colors. And there’s this one pair of dressy shoes everyone’s wearing that you can only cop from the Inkling Girl Amiibo. It’s a bummer, but the outfits folks have put together are dope. So, let’s check out some squid drip:

PSA: You Might Not Need To Unbox The New Smash Bros. amiibo To Use It

Image: via NIntendo NYC on Twitter

As you’ve probably seen, the new Min Min Super Smash Bros. Ultimate amiibo is now available in-store. If you are planning on adding this one to your collection, here’s your PSA that this new amiibo based on the fighter from the ARMS series might not actually need to be unboxed to be used.

As highlighted by a user (with a North American Min Min model) on the amiibo subreddit, this new amiibo’s packaging may not have an “NFC blocker tag”, which prevents Nintendo fans from scanning the NFC figure while it’s still inside the box.

There are all sorts of theories floating about as to why this particular amiibo can be scanned, but it seems this change might have happened before Min Min – with the Twitter account ‘Amiibo News’ noting how this has supposedly been possible since the re-release of Kirby amiibo:

@AmiiboNews – “Fun fact: Starting with the re-release of the Kirby amiibo, Nintendo removed the foil that prevented you from scanning amiibo while in the box. In-box collectors rejoice!”

We tested out our own boxed Min Min amiibo here at Nintendo Life and were also able to successfully scan it into Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Have you had any luck yourself? Leave a comment down below.

Min Min Super Smash Bros. Ultimate amiibo Release Date Announced, Minecraft Steve & Alex amiibo Delayed

Nintendo has announced that the Min Min Super Smash Bros. Ultimate amiibo will be released on April 29, 2022. Unfortunately for Minecraft fans, Nintendo also shared that the Steve & Alex amiibo have been delayed from Spring 2022 to “later in 2022.”

Nintendo revealed the news on Twitter, and the Arms character Min Min also received a short video that showcases her final amiibo design. As for Steve & Alex, Nintendo said that “due to a logistics and production delay, unfortunately the release timing has been delayed to later in 2022.”

Once the Minecraft Steve & Alex amiibo are released, the only DLC Super Smash Bros. Ultimate fighters left to get the toy treatment are Sephiroth, Pyra, Mythra, Kazuya, and Sora. It has been confirmed the that first four will be getting amiibo, but no official word as been given about Sora.

Speaking of Sora, the Kingdom Hearts hero was the final DLC character released for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. So, assuming Sora does get an amiibo, he will also be the last in game’s series of figures.

In our review of Min Min in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, we said that she is “one part Dhalsim, one part Pokemon Trainer, and one of the more exciting (if tricky to wield) concepts for a Smash character yet.”

For more, check out Masahiro Sakurai’s comments on there being “no plans” for a Smash Bros. sequel and what was part of Ultimate’s final combat balance update.

Min-Min Amiibo releasing this April, Steve and Alex Amiibo delayed

Nintendo revealed the official release date for the highly desired Min-Min Amiibo for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Min-Min will arrive in most retails on April 29, which is almost two years since Min-Min’s came to Ultimate on June 29, 2020. Nintendo also shared there will be delays for other Amiibos.

The Minecraft Steve and Alex Amiibos were previously slated to release in Spring 2022. Nintendo has now announced that both Amiibos have been delayed to later in the year because of “logistics and production delay.”

The Min-Min Amiibo was announced during the Kazuya presentation in June 2021. Scanning an Amiibo in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will give players their own custom NPC fighter based on whatever figurine they scanned. The NPC’s fight style will be based on the owners’ playstyle, and gamers can take their custom NPC to other devices by re-scanning the Amiibo.

When Amiibos first launched, they became highly sought out for collectors and were instantly sold out. Amiibos soon became rare collector items, with some of the harder-to-find figures being the most expensive online. The more recent Amiibo releases have become easier to find, just as long as players know when to pre-order them.
