Lily-Rose Depp defends decision to remain silent during Johnny Depp and Amber Heard trial

Lily-Rose Depp defended her choice to remain silent during the defamation trial involving her father Johnny Depp and his ex-wife Amber Heard.

In a candid interview with Elle, the rising star actress explained why she decided to steer clear of all the drama and not comment directly on the case that was held in Fairfax County, Virginia earlier this year.

‘When it’s something that’s so private and so personal that all of a sudden becomes not so personal…I feel really entitled to my secret garden of thoughts,’ the model and actress, who is set to star in HBO’s upcoming series The Idol, said in the publication’s cover story.

Her take: Lily-Rose Depp, 23, defended her decision to remain silent and not comment about the Johnny Depp and Amber Heard defamation trial earlier this year

While addressing her silence, the Neuilly-sur-Seine, France native, 23, declared she wants to be judged on her own merits and not by the men in her life, whether that be her famous dad or boyfriends in her life.

‘I also think that I’m not here to answer for anybody, and I feel like for a lot of my career, people have really wanted to define me by the men in my life, whether that’s my family members or my boyfriends, whatever.’

Sounding confident and somewhat defiant at the same time, she added, ‘And I’m really ready to be defined for the things that I put out there.’

Johnny Depp started dating Amber Heard following his announcement that he had separated from Lily-Rose’s mother, Vanessa Paradis, in June 2012 after being an item for more than 14 years.

The Depp and Heard union would only last about a year-and-a-half, ending with Heard filing for divorce in May 2016. During that filing she obtained a temporary restraining order against the A-list actor, alleging that he had been verbally and physically abusive throughout their relationship, usually while under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Staying neutral: ‘When it’s something that’s so private and so personal that all of a sudden becomes not so personal…I feel really entitled to my secret garden of thoughts,’ the rising star actress said of the Depp V. Heard trial that went from April-June

Her own woman: ‘I also think that I’m not here to answer for anybody, and I feel like for a lot of my career, people have really wanted to define me by the men in my life, whether that’s my family members or my boyfriends, whatever,’ said Lily-Rose to Elle; she’s pictured with her famous father in an Instagram post from years past

After denying Heard’s claims of abuse, a settlement was reached and the divorce was finalized in January 2017.

Heard would also go on to dismiss the restraining order, and the former couple issued a joint statement saying that their ‘relationship was intensely passionate and at times volatile, but always bound by love.’

Nearly two years later, Heard wrote an op-ed that was published by the Washington Post in December 2018 titled ‘Amber Heard: I spoke up against sexual violence—and faced our culture’s wrath. That has to change.’

In the article, Heard stated: ‘Then two years ago, I became a public figure representing domestic abuse, and I felt the full force of our culture’s wrath for women who speak out. … I had the rare vantage point of seeing, in real time, how institutions protect men accused of abuse.’

While it never identified Depp by name, the Pirates Of The Caribbean star maintained Heard caused new damage to his reputation and career and filed a $50 million defamation lawsuit. Heard went on retaliate by filing a countersuit claiming $100 million in damages.

Their trial ended up going from April until June, with Heard being found guilty of all three defamation claims.

Depp was awarded $10 million in compensatory damages and $5 million in punitive damages from Heard, although the court reduced the punitive damages to $350,000 due to a limit imposed by Virginia state law. They also ruled that Depp’s former lawyer, Adam Waldman, had defamed Heard by falsely alleging that she and her friends ‘roughed up’ Depp’s penthouse as part of a hoax’ and awarded Heard $2 million in compensatory damages but zero dollars in punitive damages.

Evidence presented during the trial, which made headlines all across the world, showed that Heard and Lily-Rose appeared to have a close relationship.

Her decision to not comment on their trial was criticized by many on social media, but she also had many fans come to her defense at the time.

While The Dancer star continued to avoid taking sides in the trial in the Elle interview, Lily-Rose did elaborate on her childhood and what it was like being raised by a superstar father and mother, who’s been a big star in her own right as a model, singer and actress in her native France.

‘I know my childhood didn’t look like everybody’s childhood, and it’s a very particular thing to deal with, but it’s also the only thing that I know,’ she explained.

‘My parents protected my brother, [Jack], and me from it as much as possible. I’ve just been raised in a manner that has taught me that privacy is something that’s important to protect.’

She also addressed critics who claims her career is a product, in part, of nepotism.

‘People are going to have preconceived ideas about you or how you got there, and I can definitely say that nothing is going to get you the part except for being right for the part,’ she said, adding, ‘The internet cares a lot more about who your family is than the people who are casting you in things. Maybe you get your foot in the door, but you still just have your foot in the door. There’s a lot of work that comes after that.’

Superstar parents: Lily-Rose also shared about what it was like being raised by her superstar father and her mother, who’s a huge star in her own right as a model, singer and actress in her native France; the former couple, who separated in 2012 are pictured in 1999

Amber Heard seen in Spain with daughter after Johnny Depp trial

Amber Heard has resurfaced in Spain after having gone MIA for a few months.

The “Aquaman” actress and her 1-year-old daughter, Oonagh Paige, were photographed in Palma de Mallorca on Friday while spending time with her girlfriend, Bianca Butti.

In multiple photos, Heard can be seen playing with her daughter on a swing set, walking with her and a group of friends and enjoying the European city.

It’s unclear how long she will be staying in Europe.

Heard, 36, looked happy surrounded by friends and her daughter, whom she welcomed via surrogate in July 2021, despite losing to Johnny Depp in their defamation trial in June. As a result, Heard owes her ex-husband millions of dollars.

She since has asked the judge to toss the jury’s verdict.

The lack of funds hasn’t stopped Heard from spending a chunk of the summer in the Hamptons and then jet-setting off to Israel, where she was seen vacationing with pal Eve Barlow — a woman barred from the courtroom during the trial — and Oonagh.

As Page Six exclusively reported, the judge ejected Barlow from the highly publicized Depp-Heard trial in April for “live-tweeting, texting and posting information” while sitting in the front row, which is usually reserved for legal counsel.

Aaron Carter seen at home after police call as he says he’s SUING on-off girlfriend for defamation

Aaron Carter was spotted outside his home as he did some maintenance work on his car while barefoot on Monday.

While outside his house in Lancaster, California, the 34-year-old musician opened up about his plans to sue his on–off girlfriend Melanie Martin for defamation, in response to her claims that he broke several of her ribs, which Carter has denied.

While fiddling with his vehicle, he claimed that his lawsuit would look like ‘Johnny Depp/Amber Heard 2.0,’ referencing Depp’s brutal defamation suit against his ex-wife.

Getting litigious: Aaron Carter, 34, shared his plans to sue his on–off girlfriend Melanie Martin for defamation on Monday when he was seen outside his home in Lancaster, California

Aaron was dressed casually for a day around the house with a blue, orange and white Miami Dolphins hoodie, which he paired with shredded acid wash jeans that were blown out at the knees.

He sported spiky blond hair that left his abundant face tattoos on full display, and he had an enormous diamond-encrusted pendant dangling from his neck.

The rapper and singer didn’t appear to be going further than the curb, as he went barefoot.

He was approached by a videographer as he tinkered with his car, but he seemed more than happy to explain his situation after police were called to his home days earlier after he accused his ex-girlfriend Melanie of burglarizing the house.

Carter seemed upbeat as he said he was ‘staying strong,’ despite ‘eight months of a lot of turmoil.’

He clarified reports that he was currently in rehab, calling it an out-patient program focused on ‘aftercare’ and his ‘triggers,’ to ensure that he doesn’t relapse after what he claimed were ‘five years clean.

As part of the program, he attended Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous meetings to show a judge that he was serious.

Taking it easy: Aaron was dressed casually for a day around the house with a blue, orange and white Miami Dolphins hoodie, which he paired with shredded acid wash jeans and a lack of shoes or socks

Staying in treatment: He clarified reports that he was currently in rehab, calling it an out-patient program focused on ‘aftercare’ and his ‘triggers,’ to ensure that he doesn’t relapse after what he claimed were ‘five years clean.

Getting police involved: Last week, he called police to his home and claimed that his ex Melanie had broken into his home and stolen valuable items

When the subject turned to his recent police visit, Aaron confirmed that he had called them to his home.

‘She wouldn’t leave, she was trying to trigger me,’ he claimed.

He also said that his nine-month-old son Prince wasn’t in the house and that he didn’t see him during the altercation.

Carter claimed that Martin would ‘break in through the back window just walk in the house’ without his permission. ‘I personally feel like I deserve a better girl,’ he added, saying he needed someone who better fit with his ‘Southern’ values.

‘Now it’s time to focus on being single, focus on my aftercare, focus on my son,’ he continued.

Walked right in: Carter claimed that Martin would ‘break in through the back window just walk in the house’ without his permission. ‘I personally feel like I deserve a better girl,’ he added

Fighting back: ‘Unfortunately, it looks like it’s gonna turn into a Johnny Depp/Amber Heard 2.0,’ he said as he explained he was going to sue Martin for ‘defamation of character’ over her claim that he broke multiple of her ribs

However, he explained that his son was currently living with Martin’s mother, as Martin had lost custody.

Aaron, who was battling for custody with Melanie earlier this year, claimed he initially lost custody ‘just because I own guns,’ though he said he would be willing to give them up if it meant he could have custody of Prince.

He added that Melanie lost custody after he did, leaving her mother to care for the young child.

‘Unfortunately, it looks like it’s gonna turn into a Johnny Depp/Amber Heard 2.0,’ he said while crossing his arms as he explained that he was going to sue Martin for ‘defamation of character’ over her claim that he had broken multiple of her ribs.

‘It almost ruined my career, so I had no other choice than to sue her,’ he added.

Martin initially posted medical records that appeared to indicate at least one rib was broken, but she subsequently retracted her claim on social media.

Toward the end of the interview, Carter made an odd shoutout to Johnny Depp’s attorney Camille Vasquez.

‘I’m just going to put this out there. Camille, if you hear this message, please help me, call me and find a way to contact me personally and I would love to talk to you. I know that you can help me win this because I have the facts. It’s a win–win,’ he said.

Career trouble: ‘It almost ruined my career, so I had no other choice than to sue her,’ he added

Reversal: Martin initially posted medical records that appeared to indicate at least one rib was broken, but she subsequently retracted her claim on social media

The videographer capped off the chat by asking if Martin even had any substantial funds for him to win in a defamation suit.

‘You can’t get blood out of a rock. That’s not the point. The point is the career,’ he said.

Earlier this month, Aaron said that he and Melanie had reunited, but they seem to have split again sometime around when he called police to his home.

She was seen being escorted out of the house by officers, though she was not taken into custody at the time. ‘

Desperate: Toward the end of the interview, Carter made an odd shoutout to Johnny Depp’s attorney Camille Vasquez. ‘Camille, if you hear this message, please help me, call me and find a way to contact me personally and I would love to talk to you’; Vasquez seen with Depp in May

In an Instagram video posted after the visit, Aaron claimed that Melanie had stolen several luxury goods from his home.

‘The cops were called last night, Melanie had to return my watch,’ he explained. ‘She ended up taking my Louis Vuitton bag that I have been traveling around with 12 years.’

He added, ‘The cops made her give me my Rolex watch back and I told her that she could keep my $20,000 fur coat that I bought in Utah.’

He also claimed she had taken the engagement ring he initially gave her, along with pricy Dolce & Gabbana shoes, which he said were worth thousands of dollars.

While raising his middle fingers at the camera, he added angrily, ‘So f*** you Melanie, I deserve a better woman and I will find one.

‘She told me last night when she was here, she goes, “Well I’m going to go f*** a 90 Day Fiancé guy.” Hmm. Partying at 2 a.m. in the morning. Why isn’t she with Prince like she’s supposed to be?’

Harsh words: In an Instagram video from after the police visit, he lambasted Melanie for ‘Partying at 2 a.m. in the morning’ and not being with their son

Legal experts applaud Amber Heard’s choice of new lawyers for Johnny Depp verdict appeal

Amber Heard has hired new lawyers as she appeals the $10 million verdict awarded to Johnny Depp in their defamation battle — a move experts said could be advantageous for the “Aquaman” actress.

Heard, 36, has brought on David Axelrod and Jay Ward Brown, of national law firm Ballard Spahr, who successfully represented the New York Times against former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin’s libel lawsuit.

They’ll help Heard as she fights to overturn the largely unfavorable verdict against her handed down by a jury following the ex-couple’s bombshell trial in Fairfax, Virginia.

Virginia lawyer Elaine Bredehoft — who repped Heard at trial — will be leaving the team, according to a spokesperson for the actress.

“A different court warrants different representation, particularly as so much new evidence is now coming to light,” the rep said.

Texas civil lawyer Katherine Lizardo — who followed the trial closely — said she expected the change in the legal team and noted it would benefit Heard.

“This is a good move for her because it would give her a different point of view legally from trial counsel,” Lizardo told The Post.

Appeal lawyers are a “different breed” of attorneys who are experts in the “nuanced and specialty” field of law, Lizardo explained.

The Virginia jury found that Heard defamed Depp in her essay alleging domestic abuse.

“If Amber Heard did not hire an attorney that was familiar with the appellate system then she would lose,” she said.

Lizardo also noted that it takes a certain demeanor to argue an appellate case — which in Virginia only allows for each side to speak for 15 minutes before a three-judge panel.

“Elaine Bredehoft’s style at trial and her time management issues wouldn’t work for appeal,” Lizardo said. “We saw when Elaine would ramble on or argue unrelated matters and that would be very detrimental if she argued similarly in front of the court of appeal judges.”

New York civil lawyer William Newman told The Post that Axelrod and Brown’s maneuvers in Palin’s case against the Times signal the type of strategy the legal team will use in Heard’s appeal.

The lawyers had focused on trying to prove that statements made about the 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee in a Times piece weren’t made with actual malice — which is a higher legal standard applied to cases involving public figures.

“By selecting a lawyer that famously made that argument in the Sarah Palin case — that tells me that [actual malice] is going to be something that they are going to likely focus on in this appeal,” Newman said.

Still, Newman said it’s smart that Heard is still hanging onto one of her Virginia lawyers from trial, Benjamin Rottenborn.

“I think it’s a good choice,” Newman said of hiring Axelrod and Brown. “Ballard Spahr is a very well regarded firm. She is in good hands.”

“It’s still very good to have local Virginia lawyers working on it too,” Newman added.

Former California appeals court judge and current criminal defense attorney Halim Dhanidina told The Post that hiring new lawyers for an appeal is routine and has many upsides, including gaining the expertise of an appellate lawyer and getting a fresh set of eyes on the case.

A trial lawyer “is almost too close to the issues.” Dhanidina said. “Whereas an appellate specialist might be able to look at what happened in the lower court record and have perhaps a different perspective or a different strategy of how they might be successful on appeal.”

“What an attorney might want to do at the appellate level is perhaps second guess some of the strategies or actions taken by the trial attorney and the attorney who handled the trial would obviously not be in a position to be critical or to second guess their own actions,” the former judge noted.

The 59-year-old “Pirates of the Caribbean” actor won a $10.35 million verdict in June with a jury siding with his claims that Heard defamed him in a 2018 Washington Post op-ed piece on being a victim of domestic violence.

While she didn’t specifically name Depp in the essay, his side argued at trial that it clearly referred to her allegations that he abused her around their 2016 divorce.

The jury awarded Heard $2 million in her counterclaims that Depp defamed her when his lawyer Adam Waldman called her claims a hoax.

Bredehoft didn’t return a request for comment Monday.

Johnny Depp was ‘willfully’ defamed by Amber Heard, says her insurance company

Johnny Depp’s defamation trial against ex-wife Amber Heard ended in June. However, according a recent report, Amber’s insurance company is now suing her and refusing to cover the damages she owes Johnny.

Johnny Depp was ‘willfully’ and ‘maliciously’ defamed by his ex-wife Amber Heard, according to her insurance company, said a new report. Amber’s insurance company is reportedly refusing to pay for the damages the actor owes her ex-husband following their high-profile defamation trial. Amber was ordered to pay $10 million in compensatory damages and $5 million in punitive damages in a June 1 verdict in a US court. On the other hand, Johnny was ordered to pay Amber $2 million overall. Read more: Why Amber Heard’s legal team seeks fresh trial in Johnny Depp defamation case

According to the report, the insurance company is suing Amber Heard so that it can be absolved of any duty to pay for her defense in the recent defamation case against ex-husband Johnny. The report added that the US-based company is also suing Amber so that it does not have to pay any costs of ongoing litigation, if Amber makes any further appeals in court or be required to pay the damages, Amber was ordered to pay Johnny after the trial’s verdict was declared.

New York Marine and General Insurance Company filed the suit against Amber on Friday in the US District Court for the Central District of California, reported lawandcrime.com. The report added Amber had a $1 million liability policy with the company, with which she could have paid a portion of the damages she owes Johnny. However, the insurance company could refuse the payout, if Amber was found to have committed ‘willful’ and ‘malicious’ misconduct. Amber’s insurance coverage was from July 2018 to July 2019. During that time period, Amber wrote an op-ed in The Washington Post, in which she said she was ‘a public figure representing domestic abuse’.

In the suit it filed against Amber, New York Marine and General Insurance Company, reportedly said that California insurance law provides that although an insurance company may be liable for an insured party’s negligence, ‘an insurer is not liable for a loss caused by the willful act of the insured’. The company added that Amber was found to have acted with actual malice, in other words, willfully. Therefore, it should not have to compensate Amber.

Earlier, it was reported that Amber’s lawyers wanted a Virginia court to order a fresh trial in the defamation case against Johnny, as a wrong juror was seated in the jury during the trial. Johnny and Amber have both accused each other of domestic violence. After Johnny sued Amber for defamation because of her 2018 article, Amber countersued Johnny for $100 million in 2021.

Amber Heard asks for Johnny Depp defamation verdict to be tossed

Amber Heard has asked a Virginia judge to toss her losing verdict in the defamation lawsuit filed by ex-husband Johnny Depp — claiming the evidence doesn’t hold up.

Lawyers for Heard, who was found guilty of three defamation claims filed by Depp, claimed in a 43-page motion filed last week that the judgment wasn’t supported by the evidence during the former couple’s blockbuster trial.

The document claims Depp “proceeded solely on a defamation by implication theory, abandoning any claims that Ms. Heard’s statements were actually false,” the papers filed Friday claim.

Heard’s attorneys also argue that Juror 15 on the panel may have even been selected illegally by giving the wrong birthdate during jury selection — 1945 instead of the actual year of 1970.

“This discrepancy raises the question [of] whether Juror 15 actually received a summons for jury duty and was properly vetted by the court to serve on the jury,” the lawyers’ motion said.

It is unknown if the juror actually deliberated on the case.

Depp, 58, sued his ex claiming he damaged his career in a 2018 op-ed piece in The Washington Post alleging she was a victim of domestic abuse — and leaving little doubt the reference was to the “Pirates of the Caribbean” franchise star.

Depp attorney Ben Chew emailed Courthouse News that Heard’s filing was “what we expected, just longer, more substantive,” The Guardian reported.

In the verdict last month, the jury awarded Depp $10 million in compensatory damages and $5 million in punitive damages — although Virginia law restricted the total to $10.3 million.

Heard, who countersued, was awarded $2 million for one of her claims.

But Chew and the “Aquaman” actress’s legal team argued in the new court filing that Depp failed to prove that the actor’s career and reputation were impacted by Heard’s op-ed article.

“Mr. Depp presented no evidence of any pecuniary damages suffered in the limited December 18, 2018, through November 2, 2020 timeframe as a result of the Op-Ed,” the motion said. “There was no evidence of any project or lost commercial opportunities because of the Op-Ed.”

The lawyers noted that Depp had not signed a contract for the sixth installment of “Pirates of the Caribbean,” despite claiming at the trial that The Washington Post cost him the role.

The papers also argue that Depp failed to disprove the abuse claims.

“Mr. Depp was required to establish at the time the Op-Ed was published, Ms. Heard did not believe she had been abused or that she had doubts about whether she was abused,” Chew wrote.

“But Mr. Depp presented no evidence -that Ms. Heard did not believe she was abused. Instead, the evidence overwhelmingly supported [that] Ms. Heard believed she was the victim of abuse at the hands of Mr. Depp.

“Therefore, Mr. Depp did not meet the legal requirements for actual malice, and the verdict should be set aside,” the papers said

Johnny Depp to reprise ‘Pirates’ role with $301M deal: report

To tweak a legendary line from Johnny Depp’s best-known franchise: “This is the day you will always remember as the day you almost canceled Captain Jack Sparrow.”

Embattled actor Johnny Depp is rumored to be getting paid more than $300 million to return to “Pirates of the Caribbean,” after getting unceremoniously dumped from the franchise in 2018 amid abuse allegations by ex Amber Heard. A source close to Disney allegedly dropped the bombshell in a new interview with Aussie outlet Poptopic.

“The deal is reportedly for Johnny Depp to return as Jack Sparrow,” the little leaking birdie claimed to the Down Under entertainment website.

The 59-year-old “Donnie Brasco” star had played the swashbuckling buccaneer in five
“Pirates” movies over the last 19 years, before Disney dropped him from the sixth and final installment in the wake of 36-year-old Heard’s 2018 Washington Post op-ed which Depp claimed defamed him as a domestic abuser. This reportedly caused the “Edward Scissorhands” icon to lose out on a $22.5 million payday.

However, following Depp’s highly publicized defamation suit win earlier this month, it appears that the House of Mouse could be willing to reinstate him in the iconic role.

“Disney are very interested in patching up their relationship with Johnny Depp,” the source alleged to Poptopic. “They reached out to the actor prior to his defamation trial against Amber Heard and asked whether he would be interested in returning for another ‘Pirates’ film or two.”

The Post has reached out to reps for Depp and Walt Disney Pictures for comment.

Meanwhile, the rumored comeback deal, which is allegedly worth a cool $301 million, would reportedly see Depp “return as Jack Sparrow in ‘Pirates of the Caribbean 6’ and a spin-off Disney+ series about the early life of the Captain of the Black Pearl,” per the source.

“What I can tell you is that the studio has already penned up a draft for a film about Jack Sparrow, so they are very hopeful that Johnny will forgive them and return as his iconic character,” the source claimed.

The new development comes after an unnamed Disney executive hinted at the “Finding Neverland” actor donning Sparrow’s tricorn hat again following his defamation trial win.

“I absolutely believe post-verdict that ‘Pirates’ is primed for rebooting with Johnny as Capt. Jack back on board,” the source said in an interview with People magazine earlier this month. “There is just too much potential box-office treasure for a beloved character deeply embedded in the Disney culture,” they added.

Depp was awarded more than $10 million in his defamation case against Heard earlier this month. A jury in Fairfax, Virginia, found Heard liable for defaming Depp. The jury also found Heard was defamed by one of Depp’s lawyers but only awarded her $2 million in damages.

However, the “Aquaman” actress reportedly plans to file an appeal after her and Depp’s attorney’s were unable to reach a last-minute settlement Friday.

Johnny Depp’s ‘Edward Scissorhands’ props double in value after trial

Johnny Depp’s value is sky-rocketing following his blockbuster defamation trial with ex-wife Amber Heard.

The 59-year-old’s iconic prop hands from the 1990 Tim Burton classic “Edward Scissorhands” pulled in double it’s estimated monetary value after his high-profile court victory earlier this month.

The scissor hands Depp wore as the film’s title character have sold for $81,250, almost twice the price memorabilia experts thought they would go for at auction, TMZ reported Wednesday.

Propstore, an auction company that specializes movie collectibles, previously announced that sale that would begin June 21 and run until he end of this week.

Other collectibles that are set to be up for action in the near future include Depp’s motorcycle from the 1990 John Waters camp-fest “Cry Baby.” The 1955 Model K is going under the hammer by Kruse GWS Auctions, which set the opening bid at a cool $250,000.

The recent auction also hyped Marvel’s “Thor” hammer, which sold for an eye-popping $162,500, as well as Tom Hank’s legendary Wilson ball from “Castaway.” That hot commodity went for a startling $187,500.

Meanwhile, Depp scored $10 million in compensatory damages and $5 million in punitive damages from a jury against his ex-wife Amber Heard.

Heard, 36, also could be cashing in after the trial. The “Aquaman” actress is rumored to be penning a revenge tell-all book soon — although those reports remain unconfirmed at this time.

“Amber considers her career in Hollywood over. She’s already in talks and is excited about it,” a source told OK! Magazine on Tuesday. “At this point, she has nothing to lose and wants to tell all.”

However, more potential lawsuits could stem from the book, an expert revealed to the outlet.

“Depp and his attorneys will be reading and listening to everything that Heard states,” author Dror Bikel told OK! “If she crosses the line, which is likely, there is no question that will be hit with another defamation suit and end up right back in court.”

The “Pirates of the Caribbean” actor also issued a warning yesterday, addressing that there has been imposters pretending to be him on social media.

In a lengthy Instagram Story, he wrote, “I’ve been made aware that there are fake accounts pretending to be me or people working with me.”

“I do not have any private or side accounts on any platforms. These are the only pages run by me and my team where we share updates and communicate,” he added.

He went on, “I ask that you remain cautious as it seems these fake accounts can be relentless. My team is working to combat the problem. Thank you for your continued support and for making me aware of this issue! Love & respect, JD X.”

Why Johnny Depp was helped out of Birmingham hotel

Security escorted Johnny Depp out of a hotel Monday to protect him from the hordes of fans who have been following him since his trial ended last week.

Photos of the actor being guided out of the The Grand Hotel Birmingham in England holding a coffee mug went viral this week.

A source tells us his security team was keeping him safe and away from the “large crowds.”

“Everywhere he goes, he’s getting mobbed by fans,” our insider says.

In the snaps, the “Pirates of the Caribbean” star, 58, looked distressed while being walked out of the luxury hotel with one man holding onto his right arm and another standing closely behind them.

Depp was wearing a black-and-white checkered sport coat atop black jeans and black shoes, which he paired with a scarf, messy hair and aviator-style sunglasses. In his left hand was a ceramic coffee mug, though it’s unclear what — if anything — was in it.

Hours prior to the sighting, the actor had dropped more than $62,000 (£50,000) on a lavish Indian feast fit for a legally victorious king and his posse of about 20.

The celebratory dinner at Varanasi included authentic Indian dishes, endless cocktails and plenty of rosé.
