Alec Baldwin is slammed for caption with ‘sexually suggestive innuendo’ about son and wife

Alec Baldwin has been criticised over a bizarre Instagram post – his first since it emerged he will be charged with two counts of involuntary manslaughter.

Just days after prosecutors revealed plans to hold him responsible for the accidental killing of Halyna Hutchins in October 2021, the actor, 64, left followers perplexed over his latest Instagram caption.

Under a sweet photo of his son holding his mother’s shoulders as they sat on their living room floor, the Golden Globe winner sent trolls into a frenzy as he suggested his little boy was pulling ‘the old let me give you a back rub ploy’ on mom Hilaria Baldwin.

The public post came just hours after Boston-born Hilaria was ridiculed for slipping into an ‘offensive’ Spanish accent while asking photographers to leave her kids alone in wake of Alec’s charge.

Bizarre: Alec Baldwin has come under fire for his first Instagram post since he was charged with involuntary manslaughter for the accidental killing of Halyna Hutchins

Odd: Just days after prosecutors revealed plans to hold him responsible for the fatal on-set shooting of Rust’s cinematographer in October 2021, the actor, 64, left followers perplexed over his latest Instagram caption

‘Imagine being indicted for involuntary manslaughter and the first post you make after the announcement includes a picture of your attention-seeking wife, posed with your young son, and captioned with a sexually suggestive innuendo,’ one critic asked in the comment section.

Another wrote: ‘Does anyone else think this is creepy af with the caption? Pic is sweet. Caption makes it weird.’

A third commenter wrote: ‘Dude you need consult your team before you post man this does not help your case.’

One of Baldwin’s fans explained to the 30 Rock star that the ‘back rub ploy is a joke between grownups not mother/son.’

Others pleaded with the father-of-eight to stop being ‘problematic’ and to stop posting at all.

Yikes: Another wrote: ‘Does anyone else think this is creepy af with the caption? Pic is sweet. Caption makes it weird’

No more: Others pleaded with the father-of-eight to stop being ‘problematic’ and to stop posting at all

Still, others found the caption innocuous, and implied her son was just buttering up his mom for ‘ice cream after 9pm’

‘Sexualizing children is always so weird but your own child? Yikes,’ another user remarked.

Still, others found the caption innocuous, and implied her son was just buttering up his mom for ‘ice cream after 9pm.’

Last week, sources claimed Alec is ‘trying to stay strong’ for his kids after being charged with involuntary manslaughter over the death of Halyna Hutchins.

Fighting to clear his name: As for his legal woes, Alec has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing over Hutchins’ passing and insisted that Assistant Director Dave Halls said he was being handed a ‘cold’ gun – meaning it was unloaded and safe (seen in 2019)

The cinematographer was killed when a prop gun went off during rehearsals on the set of the upcoming Western movie in October 2021 and now the 64-year-old actor – who is married to Hilaria Baldwin and has Carmen Gabriela, nine, Rafael Thomas, seven, Leonardo Ángel Charles, six, Romeo Alejandro David, four, Eduardo Pao Lucas, two, and daughters Ilaria Catalina Irena, three months with her – but is said to be ‘focused’ on his children and ‘leaning’ on his wife as they come to terms with the charges.

An insider told People: ‘They were prepared for all outcomes, but nothing can quite prepare you for this. They are really leaning on each other and trying to keep their focus on the kids. Hilaria has been Alec’s rock throughout all of this, and to see him so distraught is heartbreaking for her. She is doing whatever she can to support him and they’re doing their best to stay strong for the kids.’

The film’s head armorer, Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, faces the same charge, and both face a maximum of five years in prison if found guilty.

Santa Fe’s District Attorney Mary Carmack-Altwies said the charges will be filed by the end of the month.

She added in a statement: ‘Actor and producer Alec Baldwin and armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed will each be charged with two counts of involuntary manslaughter.

‘After a thorough review of the evidence… I have determined that there is sufficient evidence.

‘On my watch, no one is above the law, and everyone deserves justice.’

Assistant Director Dave Halls has agreed a plea deal on the charge of negligent use of a deadly weapon. He will receive six months probation and a suspended prison sentence.

Alec has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing and said Dave said it was a ‘cold’ gun – meaning it was unloaded and safe – when he handed him the weapon.

Hannah was not present when the incident occurred, but the actor previously suggested she bare some responsibility as it was her job to prepare and check the props.

The ’30 Rock’ star previously insisted he did not pull the trigger when Halyna was shot, but the FBI tested the weapon and later issued a report which concluded it would not have fired if someone hadn’t pulled the trigger.

Halyna’s death was previously ruled an accident but her family filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Alec and others involved in the production.

The lawsuit was settled last October, and it was agreed filming would resume on ‘Rust’, with the cinematographer’s widower, Matthew Hutchins, on board as an executive producer.

Matthew previously said he has ‘no interest’ in apportioning blame for his wife’s tragic death and wants to pay tribute to Halyna’s ‘final work’.

In a statement, he said: ‘We have reached a settlement, subject to court approval, for our wrongful death case against the producers of ‘Rust’, including Alec Baldwin and Rust Movie Productions, LLC. As part of that settlement, our case will be dismissed.

‘The filming of Rust, which I will now executive produce, will resume with all the original principal players on board in January 2023.

‘I have no interest in engaging in recriminations or attribution of blame (to the producers or Mr. Baldwin).

‘All of us believe Halyna’s death was a terrible accident. I am grateful that the producers and the entertainment community have come together to pay tribute to Halyna’s final work.’

Alec also sued four crew members – Hannah, Dave, Sarah Zachry and Seth Kenney – claiming they failed to safeguard the film set.

Alec Baldwin faces involuntary manslaughter charge over fatal “Rust” shooting

Actor and producer Alec Baldwin is being charged with involuntary manslaughter in the deadly 2021 shooting on the set of the Western film “Rust,” prosecutors in New Mexico announced Thursday. The armorer who oversaw firearms on the set, Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, is also being charged with involuntary manslaughter.

Baldwin was holding a gun during a rehearsal when it discharged, killing cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.

“After a thorough review of the evidence and the laws of the state of New Mexico, I have determined that there is sufficient evidence to file criminal charges against Alec Baldwin and other members of the ‘Rust’ film crew,” District Attorney Mary Carmack-Altwies said in a statement released Thursday morning. “On my watch, no one is above the law, and everyone deserves justice.”

Hutchins was wounded by a gunshot during setup for a scene at the ranch on the outskirts of Santa Fe on Oct. 21, 2021. Baldwin was pointing a pistol at Hutchins when the gun went off, killing her and wounding the director, Joel Souza.

Baldwin and Gutierrez-Reed are each being charged with two counts of involuntary manslaughter, a fourth-degree felony punishable by up to a year and a half in jail and a $5,000 fine. The charges also include a provision that could result in a mandatory five years in prison because the offense was committed with a gun.

Both counts stem from the shooting of Hutchins, Carmack-Altwies said. Involuntary manslaughter can involve a killing that happens while a defendant is doing something that is lawful but dangerous and is acting negligently or without caution. No charges are being filed in the shooting of Souza.

CBS News legal contributor Jessica Levinson, a professor at Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, said it’s important to understand Hutchins’ death wasn’t intentional.

“We’re talking about a potentially lawful act that you engage in but you were criminally negligent,” Levinson said. “So, for instance, if you go shooting with friends and you are not holding a gun properly and you’re not taking due care and you should have known that something dangerous could have happened and you accidentally kill a friend, you can be charged with this, involuntary manslaughter.”

Carmack-Altwies said charges will be filed by the end of January, and that Baldwin and Gutierrez-Reed will be issued a summons to appear in court. She said prosecutors will forgo a grand jury and rely on a judge to determine if there is probable cause to move toward trial.

Levinson said that hearing will be a “very important” part of a lengthy process. She also noted it was possible the judge could toss one of the charges.

“Facing these charges is serious,” Levinson said. “It will be more serious … if we pass that initial threshold where a judge says, yes, either one or both of these involuntary manslaughter charges go forward.”

Carmack-Altwies said courts typically schedule such hearings within 60 days of charges being filed.

Baldwin’s attorney Luke Nikas called the charges “a terrible miscarriage of justice.”

“Mr. Baldwin had no reason to believe there was a live bullet in the gun – or anywhere on the movie set,” Nikas said. “He relied on the professionals with whom he worked, who assured him the gun did not have live rounds. We will fight these charges, and we will win.”

Gutierrez-Reed’s attorneys said she didn’t commit involuntary manslaughter and called the shooting a “tragic accident.”

“These charges are the result of a very flawed investigation, and an inaccurate understanding of the full facts,” Jason Bowles and Todd Bullion said in a statement. “We intend to bring the full truth to light and believe Hannah will be exonerated of wrongdoing by a jury.”

In addition to the charges, Carmack-Altwies announced a plea agreement with assistant director David Halls for a charge of negligent use of a deadly weapon. Under the agreement, Halls will serve a suspended sentence and six months of probation.

“If any one of these three people — Alec Baldwin, Hannah Gutierrez-Reed or David Halls — had done their job, Halyna Hutchins would be alive today,” Andrea Reeb, the special prosecutor appointed to the case, said in a statement. “It’s that simple.”

Levinson noted it was possible the case may not go to a jury. “At every step along the way … if there is a plea deal on the table, Alec Baldwin can consider a plea deal,” she said.

A representative for Hutchins’ family — widower Matthew Hutchins and son Andros — thanked authorities for pursuing the charges.

“It is a comfort to the family that, in New Mexico, no one is above the law,” spokesman Brian Panish said in a statement. “We support the charges, will fully cooperate with this prosecution, and fervently hope the justice system works to protect the public and hold accountable those who break the law.”

The family settled a lawsuit against producers under an agreement that aims to restart filming with Matthew’s involvement as executive producer.

Santa Fe County Sheriff Adan Mendoza, who led the initial investigation into Hutchins’ death, described “a degree of neglect” on the film set. But he left decisions about potential criminal charges to prosecutors after delivering the results of a yearlong investigation in October. That report didn’t specify how live ammunition wound up on the film set.

Taking control of the investigation, Carmack-Altwies was granted an emergency $300,000 request for the state to pay for a special prosecutor, special investigator and other experts and personnel.

Baldwin — known for his roles in “30 Rock” and “The Hunt for Red October” and his impression of former President Donald Trump on “Saturday Night Live” — has described the killing of Hutchins as a “tragic accident.”

He has sought to clear his name by suing people involved in handling and supplying the loaded gun that was handed to him on set. Baldwin, also a co-producer on “Rust,” said he was told the gun was safe.

In his lawsuit, Baldwin said that while working on camera angles with Hutchins during rehearsal for a scene, he pointed the gun in her direction and pulled back and released the hammer of the gun, which discharged.

New Mexico’s Office of the Medical Investigator determined the shooting was an accident following the completion of an autopsy and a review of law enforcement reports.

New Mexico’s Occupational Health and Safety Bureau has levied the maximum fine against Rust Movie Productions, based on a scathing narrative of safety failures, including testimony that production managers took limited or no action to address two misfires of blank ammunition on set prior to the fatal shooting.

Rust Movie Productions continues to challenge the basis of a $137,000 fine by regulators who say production managers on the set failed to follow standard industry protocols for firearms safety.

The armorer, Gutierrez Reed, has been the subject of much of the scrutiny in the case, along with an independent ammunition supplier. An attorney for Gutierrez Reed has said the armorer didn’t put a live round in the gun that killed Hutchins, and believes she was the victim of sabotage. Authorities said they’ve found no evidence of that.

Investigators initially found 500 rounds of ammunition at the movie set on the outskirts of Santa Fe — a mix of blanks, dummy rounds and what appeared to be live rounds. Industry experts have said live rounds should never be on set.

In April 2022, the Santa Fe Sheriff’s Department released a trove of files including lapel camera video of the mortally wounded Hutchins slipping in and out of consciousness as an evacuation helicopter arrived. Witness interrogations, email threads, text conversations, inventories of ammunition and hundreds of photographs rounded out that collection of evidence.

State workplace safety regulators said that immediate gun-safety concerns were addressed when “Rust” ceased filming, and that a return to filming in New Mexico would be accompanied by new safety inspections.

“Rust” was beset by disputes from the start in early October 2021. Seven crew members walked off the set just hours before the fatal shooting amid discord over working conditions.

Hutchins’ death has influenced negotiations over safety provisions in film crew union contracts with Hollywood producers and spurred other filmmakers to choose computer-generated imagery of gunfire rather than real weapons with blank ammunition to minimize risks.

Alec Baldwin and armorer to be charged with involuntary manslaughter after fatal shooting of Halyna Hutchins on the set of ‘Rust’

CNN
 —

Actor Alec Baldwin, who fatally shot a cinematographer on the set of the Western movie “Rust” in 2021, and the film’s armorer, Hannah Gutierrez Reed, will each be charged with two counts of involuntary manslaughter, prosecutors said Thursday.

The family of Halyna Hutchins, who was the film’s director of photography, thanked prosecutors for their decision.

“It is a comfort to the family that, in New Mexico, no one is above the law,” the family said in a statement released by attorney Brian J. Panish.

Baldwin has maintained he was not aware the gun he fired during a rehearsal contained a live round. His attorney called the prosecutors’ decision “a terrible miscarriage of justice.”

“This decision distorts Halyna Hutchins’ tragic death and represents a terrible miscarriage of justice. Mr. Baldwin had no reason to believe there was a live bullet in the gun – or anywhere on the movie set,” attorney Luke Nikas said.

“He relied on the professionals with whom he worked, who assured him the gun did not have live rounds. We will fight these charges, and we will win.”

An attorney for Gutierrez Reed said he believes jurors will find his client not guilty.

“We were expecting the charges but they’re absolutely wrong as to Hannah – we expect that she will be found not guilty by a jury and she did not commit manslaughter,” attorney Jason Bowles said in a statement Thursday.

“She has been emotional about the tragedy but has committed no crime.”

Baldwin and Gutierrez Reed each face two counts of involuntary manslaughter so that a jury can decide which specific count may be more appropriate, New Mexico First Judicial District Attorney Mary Carmack-Altwies said.

If convicted, “they will only be sentenced to one count,” the prosecutor said.

In either case, a conviction is punishable by up to 18 months in jail and up to a $5,000 fine, prosecutors said.

But one count would involve a firearm enhancement, or added mandatory penalty, because a firearm was involved. In that case, the crime could be punishable by a mandatory five years in jail, prosecutors said.

The district attorney said she believed “Rust” had a “really fast and loose set,” citing “a lack of safety and safety standards” and “live rounds on set – they were mixed in with regular dummy rounds.”

“Nobody was checking those, or least they weren’t checking them consistently,” Carmack-Altwies said.

“And then they somehow got loaded into a gun, handed off to Alec Baldwin; he didn’t check it, he didn’t do any of the things that he was supposed to do to make sure that he was safe or that anyone around him was safe. And then he pointed the gun at Halyna Hutchins and he pulled the trigger.”

Hutchins was struck and killed by a live round of ammunition fired from a prop gun being held by Baldwin, who maintains he did not pull the gun’s trigger.

Director Joel Souza was also shot and injured. No charges will be filed against Souza in relation to the shooting.

In the summary of the postmortem investigation into Hutchins’ death – which was formally signed by the New Mexico chief medical investigator – the cause of death is listed as “gunshot wound of chest,” and the manner of death is listed as an “accident.”

“Review of available law enforcement reports showed no compelling demonstration that the firearm was intentionally loaded with live ammunition on set. Based on all available information, including the absence of obvious intent to cause harm or death, the manner of death is best classified as accident,” the report concluded.

An FBI forensics report said the weapon could not be fired during FBI testing of its normal functioning without pulling the trigger while the gun was cocked. The report also noted the gun eventually malfunctioned during testing after internal parts fractured, which caused the gun to go off in the cocked position without pulling the trigger.

The shooting has led to a whirlwind of finger-pointing and allegations of negligence from those involved.

In an interview with CNN in August, Baldwin placed responsibility for the tragedy on Gutierrez Reed, who served as the armorer and props assistant on the film, and assistant director Dave Halls, who handed him the gun.

Halls signed a plea agreement “for the charge of negligent use of a deadly weapon,” the district attorney’s office announced in its statement Thursday. Prosecutors said the terms of that deal include six months of probation.

On Thursday, Halls’ attorney Lisa Tarraco released a statement in defense of her client, who does not face charges in connection with the tragedy.

“Absent no charges at all, this is the best outcome for Mr. Halls and the case,” Tarraco said. “He can now put this matter behind him and allow the focus of this tragedy to be on the shooting victims and changing the industry so this type of accident will never happen again. “

In November, Baldwin filed suit against Gutierrez Reed and Halls and other individuals associated with the film, according to a cross-complaint obtained by CNN.

Through their respective attorneys, both Gutierrez Reed and Halls maintained they were not at fault and accused Baldwin of deflecting blame onto others.

Gutierrez Reed also sued the movie’s gun and ammunition supplier and its founder – who deny wrongdoing – and alleged a cache of dummy ammunition was sold with live rounds mixed in.

In October, Hutchins’ family reached an undisclosed settlement in a wrongful death lawsuit filed against Baldwin and others involved in producing the film.

Matthew Hutchins, widower of Halyna Hutchins, described her death as a “terrible accident” in a statement at the time of the settlement. Production on “Rust” was to resume this month with Matthew Hutchins joining as an executive producer on the film as part of the agreement.

Alec Baldwin announces settlement with “Rust” shooting victim Halyna Hutchins’ family; filming to resume

Actor Alec Baldwin said Wednesday he had reached a civil settlement with the family of the woman he fatally shot with a prop gun on the set of the Western film “Rust” last year. The husband of the late cinematographer Halyna Hutchins confirmed a settlement had been reached but was subject to court approval.

In a statement from his attorney, Matthew Hutchins also said he would be named an executive producer of the film, which would resume filming in January “with all the original principal players on board.”

“All of us believe Halyna’s death was a terrible accident,” Hutchins said. “I am grateful that the producers and the entertainment community have come together to pay tribute to Halyna’s final work.”

Baldwin was holding a Colt gun during a rehearsal for the Western being filmed in New Mexico last October when it discharged a live round, killing the 42-year-old Hutchins.

In an Instagram post, Baldwin called the settlement a “resolution of this tragic and painful situation.”

“Throughout this difficult process, everyone has maintained the specific desire to do what is best for Halyna’s son,” Baldwin said in the post.

Alec Baldwin is seen on April 3, 2022, in Rome, Italy.

“Rust” director Joel Souza, who was wounded in the shooting, said he would devote his work on the film going forward “to honoring Halyna’s legacy and making her proud.”

“Though certainly bittersweet, I am pleased that together, we will now complete what Halyna and I started,” he said in a statement Wednesday.

The family’s lawsuit was one of a series of civil proceedings over the fatal shooting, which sent shockwaves through Hollywood, and led to calls for guns to be permanently banned from sets.

Investigators have not filed criminal charges over the tragedy but have refused to rule them out against anyone involved, including Baldwin.

Woody Allen will release another movie before he retires

Woody Allen
Photo: Ander Gillenea (AFP via Getty Images)

Leaving behind a legacy of sexual abuse allegations and a handful of great movies that, well, people don’t feel enthusiastic about watching anymore, Woody Allen is retiring from filmmaking. Investors will have to find a new 80-year-old director who keeps making the same movies about old creeps seducing young women while insisting that their ingénues are “very mature for their age” because Allen’s next will be his 50th and final film. Per Variety, the four-time Oscar winner is currently at work on his last film in France. The movie, entitled Wasp 22, will be entirely shot in French and is akin to Match Point. He called the film “exciting, dramatic and also very sinister.” This must be the first time in decades that someone described Allen’s work as “exciting”—though the “very sinister” part is on brand.

Still, his announcement wasn’t very reassuring. “My idea, in principle, is not to make more movies and focus on writing,” Allen told the Spanish newspaper La Vanguardia. While it doesn’t sound that committed to putting the camera down, he did say to Alec Baldwin, in what Vulture calls aterrifying Instagram live interview,” that the “thrill is gone” from making movies. But how could the thrill be gone with movies like Rifkin’s Festival and A Rainy Day In New York burning up the screen?

“When I used to do a film, it’d go into a movie house all across the country,” Allen said in the interview. “Now you do a movie, and you get a couple weeks in a movie house.” If only there were a reason why people wouldn’t be excited to see yet another Woody Allen movie about a “love affair” between a middle-aged academic and a college freshman. (Or maybe it’s because his ideal audience is still saying things like “movie house,” a particularly niche demographic.) Instead, Allen will retreat to his career as an author, presumably writing books about middle-aged academics and the college freshmen who can’t resist them.

One thing seems definite: Rosie O’Donnell is probably happy to see the man she called a “slimy bookworm lookin’ child molestin’ bastard” out of business. She didn’t want to “work with that fuck” anyway.

Alec Baldwin fatal ‘Rust’ film-set shooting ruled accident

The shooting death of a cinematographer by actor Alec Baldwin on the set of “Rust” last year was an accident, New Mexico’s Office of Medical Investigator determined.

The medical investigator’s report, which was completed following an autopsy and a review of police reports, was made public Monday by the Santé Fe County Sheriff’s Office.

Prosecutors have yet to determine if any charges should be filed in the case as they review the latest reports, including from the FBI on the revolver and ammunition that were collected after the shooting.

They are also awaiting cell phone data from Baldwin’s legal team.

The medical investigator’s ruling led Baldwin’s lawyers to argue their client should not face charges connected to the “tragic accident” that killed Halyna Hutchins on Oct. 21. The film’s director, Joel Souza, was wounded in the shooting.

Halyna Hutchins’s death was ruled an accident since Baldwin had no intent to cause harm.
Instagran/Halyna Hutchins

“This is the third time the New Mexico authorities have found that Alec Baldwin had no authority or knowledge of the allegedly unsafe conditions on the set, that he was told by the person in charge of safety on the set that the gun was ‘cold,’ and believed the gun was safe,” attorney Luke Nikas said in a statement.

The state’s medical investigator’s office explained the shooting was accidental because there was an “absence of obvious intent to cause harm or death” and there was “no compelling demonstration” the weapon was intentionally loaded with live rounds on set.

Baldwin told ABC News in December he pointed the gun at Hutchins after she instructed him to on the set of the Western film Baldwin was also producing. He said the gun fired after he cocked it, but denied pulling the trigger.

Alec Baldwin blamed the producers’ “negligence and unprofessionalism” for her death.
Serge Svetnoy/Facebook

“The trigger wasn’t pulled,” he said. “I didn’t pull the trigger.”

But an FBI analysis of the revolver Baldwin held suggested the gun worked and would not have gone off unless it was fully cocked and the trigger was pulled.

Nikas, Baldwin’s lawyer, told Fox News “the FBI report is being misconstrued.”

“The gun fired in testing only one time — without having to pull the trigger — when the hammer was pulled back and the gun broke in two different places,” he said. “The FBI was unable to fire the gun in any prior test, even when pulling the trigger, because it was in such poor condition.”

Meanwhile a representative for “Rust” armorer Hannah Gutierrez Reed told Fox News, “The newly released FBI report show the revolver was in good working order and that Baldwin had to have pulled the trigger to fire the revolver, directly contradicting his prior statements and those of Assistant Director Halls, through his attorney, who also said Baldwin didn’t pull the trigger.”

Baldwin also said in the past the gun should not have been loaded during a rehearsal.

Ammunition seized from the film location were live rounds found in a cart and in the holster in the building where the shooting occurred. Blank and dummy cartridges were also found.

New Mexico’s Occupational Health and Safety Bureau had a long list of safety failures on set, including testimony that the production managers took little to no action to correct two misfires on set before the fatal shooting.

Alec Baldwin and Rosanna Arquette are among a number of celebrities who have been slammed for sending thoughts and prayers to Anne Heche after the A-lister’s high-speed crash into a Mar Vista house while allegedly drunk.

Baldwin took to Instagram on Saturday to send “my best wishes and all my love” to Heche, who is reportedly in stable condition in a hospital after suffering severe burns in the incident. According to a statement from the Los Angeles Fire Department, it took 59 firefighters more than an hour to access, confine, and extinguish the “stubborn flames” caused when Heche’s vehicle slammed into the two-story home, “causing structural compromise and erupting in heavy fire prior to LAFD arrival.” Heche was pulled out of the burning vehicle in critical condition.

She is now stable, according to a statement from Heche’s friend and podcast partner, Heather Duffy Boylston. “Anne is currently in stable condition. Her family and friends ask for your thoughts and prayers and to respect her privacy during this difficult time,” she said.

In his Instagram video, Baldwin says: “Anne is an old pal of mine. There’s not a lot of women I’ve worked with that are brave in the way that Anne is brave.

“I love you, Anne, I love you and I think you are such a talented person. I hope everything is OK, I hope you come through this. My heart goes out to you. I’m sorry you had this tragic thing happen to you, and I’m sending you all my love.”

He then asked: “’Everyone please join me please in sending their support and love to the wonderful Anne Heche. Thanks.”

In response, many took to the comments to suggest that the focus should be on the occupant of the house whose Heche’s car slammed into.

Footage taken by numerous doorbell cameras in the neighborhood on Friday showed the speed at which Heche’s car was traveling before the crash. Moments later she slammed into the home, which subsequently went up in flames. The Los Angeles Fire Department said the house is now “uninhabitable.”

The occupant of the home, identified as Lynne Mishele, told CBS LA reporter Tena Ezzeddine after the crash: “I’m a mess. We’re alive, but that’s about as far as it goes.”

Police have not charged Heche but said she was allegedly driving at twice the legal speed limit.

“What about the people that she almost killed?… Is she more important?” posted one user in reply to Baldwin’s video.

“Yes I hope she is okay but hey how about saying my thoughts are with those who were nearly killed also,” said another. “C’mon Alec.”

Actors Peter Facinelli, Rosanna Arquette, and Big Little Lies actor James Tupper, Heche’s ex with whom she shares a 13-year-old son, were also among the celebs who came in for criticism after posting tributes.

Political consultant Nathan Schneider tweeted in reply to Arquette, who asked people to “pray” for Heche: “She could have killed somebody. Heche needs some serious mental health counseling before she hurts someone.”

Mishele’s neighbor Lynne Bernstein told People that she “was extremely fortunate” to survive and that Heche’s car crashed “almost all the way through” the house and “almost immediately” caught fire.

A GoFundMe page set up by neighbors John and Jennifer Durand for Mishele has already raised close to $40,000.

“Lynne and her family very narrowly escaped physical harm, and for that we are very, very grateful,” the fundraiser reads. “The home, however, was completely burned. Even more distressing is that Lynne lost her entire lifetime of possessions, mementos, all equipment for her business including her laptop and iPad, all of her clothing and basic necessities, and all household items. With firefighters’ help, she was able to pull a few damaged sentimental belongings from the wreckage. Everything else is gone.”

They described Mishele as a “kind and generous person, Lynne is always first to offer help to others” and urged supporters to donate to the campaign.

Alec Baldwin announces mother, Carol Baldwin, dead at 92 on Instagram

Alec Baldwin announced that his 92-year-old mother died Thursday in a heartfelt obituary he posted on Instagram.

Carol Baldwin, mom of the 64-year-old actor and his five siblings, died in Syracuse, New York — the same town where she was born and raised, went to college and met her husband.

Alec Baldwin posted side-by-side photos of his mom as a teen and later in life. He noted his mother’s devotion to breast cancer support and research funding after she survived the disease herself.

“My mother taught me about second acts. And third ones, too,” he said referring to her personal battle with breast cancer. “She spent the last 25 years of her life as a fighter and a champion for the cause to which she devoted so much energy.”

The Baldwin matriarch — who also has 25 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren — was born Carol Newcomb Martineau on Dec. 15, 1929.

She met her husband, Alexander Baldwin Jr., of Brooklyn, while they were both students at Syracuse University. They got married and had six children, who they raised on Long Island until Alexander Baldwin’s death, at age 55, in 1983.

Carol Baldwin then brought up the children as a single mother, taking a job in marketing research at a local mall when the youngest became a teenager.

In 1991, the mom of six was diagnosed with breast cancer. She beat the cancer and later helped launch the Carol M Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Fund at Stony Brook University with support from the university’s president at the time. Some years later, a second chapter was started at SUNY Upstate University.

The combined efforts have raised millions of dollars for the cause, according to the obituary.

“We are all enormously proud of her accomplishments,” Alec Baldwin said.

Alec Baldwin’s niece Hailey Bieber shared his post to her Instagram stories with the caption: “We love you Grandma”.
