These Apple-like Target Tech Accessories Are 50% Off Right Now

Photo: JJava Designs (Shutterstock)

Target’s first exclusive electronic’s brand, Heyday, is having a 50% sale on many of their products right now—and you may notice that a lot of these products have a striking similarity to Apple products. So if you’re in the market for an Apple-like product and don’t mind not having the real deal, this might be the time to give Heyday a shot. These deals are online-only.

What is Heyday?

Heyday was first launched in 2018 by Target as a way to target millennials and Gen Z shoppers. The line includes headphones, earbuds, Bluetooth speakers, Lightning cords, Apple Watch bands, phone cases, and other accessories. Their main aim is to have affordable, quality tech accessories that Gen Z and millennials would want. Here are some of the best deals you can get right now from Target’s Heyday sale—and how they compare in price to their more expensive Apple counterparts.

This Heyday silicone case for AirPods with a clip is half off, and it’s comparable to Apple’s equivalent, which goes for $30 on their website. Honestly, nobody will know the difference.

This Bluetooth keyboard is compatible with Windows, Mac, and Chrome (that’s two more than Apple’s keyboard). You can connect up to three different devices and switches between them with a tap, and it uses two AAA batteries. Or if you’d rather pay $100 for Apple’s equivalent, it’s your money.

Sure, Heyday’s iPhone stand will not hold your fancy Apple Watch along with your iPhone, but it will hold your phone just as well and charge it with the same MagSafe wireless charging. And it’s less than a fifth of the price to Apple’s (really Otterbox’s) equivalent at $130.

This charger, or wall adapter, gives you the ability to charge up to two devices at the same time. It’s compatible with Android, Apple, and personal computers. It also has surge and short circuit protection. Apple’s equivalent will run you $59.

Heyday’s charging pad has the same MagSafe technology to charge your phone wirelessly. It has a display charge indicator light to let you know the device is charging. Just place your phone on top and watch it magically juice up. Apple’s equivalent costs $39.

This one isn’t Heyday’s, but it’s still over 50% off on Target. The iPhone 13 Pro case has MagSafe technology just like Apple’s and will run you less than half the price as Apple’s equivalent.

OK, Heyday’s power bank is not nearly as good as Apple’s MagSafe battery pack, but look at those pretty colors. Also, it’ll run you a tenth of the price for the minor inconvenience of being a wired charger.

Straightforward win here: Unless Apple is getting their plastic for their Apple Watches’ band from a different planet, you’ll very likely to get a similar product for five times cheaper.

Favorite Apple accessories of 2022

A range of innovative new Apple accessories have launched this year and I’ve been able to put over 40 of them through their paces. From products for iPhone, iPad, Mac, and more, here are my 8 favorite Apple accessories from 2022.

Everything on the list below I’ve personally tested and found to be consistently useful and durable – particularly after the novelty of a new accessory has worn off.

My 8 favorite Apple accessories of 2022

mophie MagSafe 3-in-1 travel charger

Even with fantastic products, I usually have a few constructive pieces of criticism but that’s not the case here. After a year of use, I still can’t think of any way to improve the 3-in-1 travel charger, mophie really knocked it out of the park.

It seamlessly charges up iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods with official MagSafe 15W power for iPhone. It’s got a premium, portable design, thoughtful travel case, and everything you need is included – looking at you Apple MagSafe Duo – making it the quintessential travel charger for Apple users.

The mophie 3-in-1 travel charger is available at Apple and direct from mophie with the latter usually offering 20% off.

Check out my full review for more details.

Moft Flash MagSafe Wallet

With a slick design offering great form and function, I think the Moft Flash will be a hit for almost anyone who likes using a MagSafe wallet with iPhone. It’s become my favorite with a smart blend of form and function.

  • Super slim bi-fold design
  • MagSafe connectivity with built-in stand
  • Easy access to cards or to show ID/use NFC
  • Durability has been good over the three months I’ve been using this
  • Great price at $34.99

You can pick up any of the four colors direct from Moft or the black or blue versions on Amazon.

Read all about Moft Flash in my full review.

Nomad Base One Max

This has become my favorite at-home charger for my iPhone and Apple Watch. I kind of think of it as a beautiful, compact sculpture that happens to power up your iPhone and Apple Watch. It looks great in any space you put it.

  • Official MFi-certified MagSafe with 15W fast wireless charging for iPhone
  • Integrated Apple Watch charger
  • All metal and glass design
  • Powered via USB-C (6.6 ft nylon braided cable included)
  • Super solid build weighing in at 1.98 pounds (900 grams)
  • Priced at $149.99

The one downside here is you need to provide or buy your own 30W power adapter. But if you’re looking for a premium MagSafe charger for your home, this is it.

You can pick up the Nomad Base One Max direct from Nomad in three available colors.

Twelve South HoverBar Tower

Twelve South launched another great product at the end of the year, expanding its HoverBar lineup. The new HoverBar Tower comes with a sturdy base so you can float your iPad safely almost anywhere at whatever angle you need.

  • Delivers hands-free use for iPad mini up to the 12.9″ iPad Pro (iPhones too)
  • Lets you achieve almost any angle
  • Solid build quality with secure grip for iPad
  • Priced at $129.95

You can pick up the HoverBar Tower direct from Twelve South, at Amazon, and Apple.

Here’s my full review for more details and pictures.

Moft Float Folio for iPad

Moft’s design here is the most clever I’ve seen for an iPad folio offering up multiple stand options. The most interesting is an elevated stand mode that pops up your iPad almost 4″ high.

  • Four iPad stands in a super lightweight folio
  • Soft and durable vegan leather finish
  • Valuable for travel or at home/office
  • Priced at $39.99 (iPad mini) $59.99 (iPad Pro 11″ and iPad Air), $69.99 (iPad Pro 12.9″)

You can pick up the Moft Float Folio for iPad Pro, Air, or mini now direct from the company. Learn more about the Moft Float Folio in my full review.

Transcend JetDrive flush SD card

Whether you need just a little extra storage with a smaller capacity or the max 1TB JetDrive, this MacBook Pro flush SD card is a super handy accessory.

From the super convenient form factor to dust, water, and shock resistance, plus a generous 5-year warranty, it’s easy to recommend the JetDrive Lite 330 as long as you’re fine with the 75-95 MB/s speeds.

  • Half-size SD card fits perfectly flush in MacBook Pro
  • Capacities from 128GB to 1TB
  • Dust, water, and shock-resistant
  • 95 MB/s write and 75 MB/s read speeds
  • 5-year warranty
  • Price: Usually $38-$190

Check out more in my full review.

Insta360 made the jump into webcams this year and the Link 4K is an impressive piece of hardware. If you want a dedicated hi-res webcam packed with useful features that goes beyond what iPhone can do with Continuity Camera in macOS Ventura, Link is worth the price.

  • Super-sharp 4K resolution
  • 3-axis gimbal
  • Superior AI auto-tracking
  • Portrait, DeskView, Overhead, and Whiteboard modes
  • Fine-grain image and camera control
  • Compact design with handy clip or thread option to mount
  • A step above Apple’s Continuity Camera
  • USB-C connectivity
  • Price: Usually from $299

The Insta360 Link 4K webcam is available direct from the company as well as Insta360’s Amazon storefront.

Here’s my full review for an in-depth look.

Nomad Leather Cover for Apple TV Remote

Nomad’s simple and smart design here is such a delight with the hand feel and the added AirTag support.

If you’ve got an Apple TV with the 2nd gen Siri Remote, I can’t recommend the Leather Cover more highly. Being something you use frequently, the Leather Cover offers a 10/10 experience when you’re using it daily and makes it easy to find when you – or someone else – have lost it.

You can pick up the Leather Cover direct from Nomad and check out more thoughts from me on it in my full review.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4, Buds 2 Pro, Watch 5 get Pokemon accessories

A few days after launching Star Wars-themed accessories for its mobile devices, Samsung unveiled Pokemon-themed accessories for some of its products. The company will bring these accessories to Singapore first before expanding their availability to more markets.

The Galaxy Buds 2 Pro will get the Poke Ball Cover which is priced at SGD 58 (around $42). The Poke Ball Watch Strap for the Galaxy Watch 5 also carries the same price tag. The Galaxy Z Flip 4’s Pokemon Cover with Ring is a little costlier at SGD 78 (around $57). All these accessories have designs that are inspired by Pokemon from the Kanto region. The accessories can be purchased in Singapore through Samsung Experience Stores and Samsung Online Store.

The Pokemon-themed case for the Galaxy Z Flip 4 has four beloved Pokemon characters printed on it, along with the Poke Ball in its white and red theme. The accessory protects the Galaxy Z Flip 4 from bumps and scratches. It also has a ring for a secure grip when using or carrying the device.

The Poke Ball case for the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro is shaped exactly like the Poke Ball. It protects the wireless earbuds and their case from drops and scratches. It has a lanyard loophole, too. The watch strap for the Galaxy Watch 5 has a red-colored strap on one side and a white-colored strap on the other, featuring Poke Ball designs and various playful colors.

Xbox Cyber Monday Deals: Controllers, Consoles, Accessories, and More

Black Friday may have been and gone, but if you missed the big day itself, don’t fret. The savings are continuing into Cyber Monday so we can still say that we’ve got some great Xbox deals to bring you. Retailers like Best Buy, Amazon, Walmart and GameStop are repping Cyber Weekend pretty hard, and with Xbox coming in second place for October 2022 sales, there are more and more Xbox consoles in peoples’ homes than ever before. There’s plenty to check out, so let’s get stuck into it.

You just know that savings season is here when you can get $50 off the Xbox Series S, $20 off Xbox controllers, alongside plenty of video game Black Friday 2022 deals, and even a few brilliant PS5 and PlayStation deals if you like to fraternize with the enemy as well (I’m joking, play games in peace). See below for all the very best Cyber Weekend Xbox deals, and make sure you’re following @IGNDeals on Twitter for more updates.

TL;DR – Best Xbox Black Friday Deals

Best Xbox Cyber Monday Console Deals

Probably the best deal we’re going to see when it comes to the ‘new-gen’ consoles this coming Cyber Monday is the deal on the Xbox Series S holiday edition. Right now you can get $50 off the excellent Xbox Series S, and set yourself up for one of the best years Xbox has ever had in 2023.

Walmart is also offering a deal on the Xbox Series S that nets you a spare Xbox controller. Even with the extra controller, the price is less than the MSRP of the Series S when it’s not the holiday shopping season, so this is another excellent deal. Remember, games like Starfield and Redfall will be dropping on the Xbox Series S next year, and you can play them all with Game Pass. I think this is an excellent deal and well worth considering.

Cyber Monday: Best Xbox Accessory Deals

There’s a great deal at Best Buy on Xbox Wireless Controllers right now, with the Cyber Monday sales bringing it down to just $39.99. That’s $20 off the original list price, and a great deal if you’ve been after another controller (maybe for some Overcooked or It Takes Two couch co-op over the holidays?).

This deal includes the black, white, and red controllers; the Pulse Red controller is also a hot favorite with IGN audiences, being the most popular version of the controller sold during the other most recent sale on gamepads this year.

Elden Ring is probably my favourite deal here, down to just $35 at Walmart. Otherwise, Horizon Forbidden West is down to $35, Returnal is down to $29.99, and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is also $29.99. Sony slashing prices on PS5 games and accessories ahead of Black Friday

Sony switched on some very good holiday deals on digital video games for PS5 and PS4, as well as PS5 accessories, like the DualSense controller. I won’t list out all of the game deals available at the PlayStation Store, but here’s the best way to frame the significance of the game discounts: you can get three PS5-exclusive games, like, say, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, Returnal, and Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut, for less than $100 ($30 each). That’s a far cry from the original $70 cost for just one of these titles. Newer games, like Horizon Forbidden West and Gran Turismo 7, are a bargain at $39.89 each for the PS5 versions. And then there’s the Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection, which costs just $19.89.

Onto the hardware, GameStop, Amazon, and Best Buy are selling every color of the DualSense controller for $49.99 ($20 off or more, depending on the color). This gamepad works great on PC, too, in case you’re just in the market for extras. I’m partial to the blue, pink, and purple models, but they all look great in their own way. Previous discounts knocked $10 off, so this is a pretty big deal.

Meta has launched a Black Friday bundle of its Quest 2 virtual reality headset that has 128GB and comes with two games. It costs $50 less than usual, priced at $349.99, yet it includes Beat Saber (a normal inclusion following its $100 price bump over the summer) and Resident Evil 4 VR games. You can nab this bundle at a number of retailers, including Amazon and Best Buy.

Unlike the earlier Chromecast models, this 2020 model includes an easy-to-use remote. The Chromecast supports 4K resolution with Dolby Vision HDR and Atmos sound if you have the right kind of speakers. If you’re trying to decide which set-top streamer to get, it’s a great value for the price. Read our review.
