Bristol Palin is getting candid about her current and past operations.

On Wednesday, the 32-year-old mom of three shared a post-op photo on her Instagram Story in which she can be seen wearing a compression bra with filled surgical drains from her breast reconstruction surgery. She revealed it had been her ninth one to correct a “botched” reduction she had at age 19.

“Sharing wayyyyy [too much information] right now, but had my 9th breast reconstruction surgery last night — yes, NINTH. All stemming from a botched breast reduction I had when I was 19 [years old],” Palin wrote over the picture.

“I’ve had previous surgeries trying to correct the initial damage of muscle tissue and terrible scaring,” she added. “The whole situation has honestly made me very self conscious my entire adult life.”

“Praying this is the last surgery needed — I hate being a whiner but it kinda does put a setback/pause on life and that’s why I’ve been fairly MIA,” she explained to her followers regarding why she has recently been inactive on social media.

“Trying my hardest to stay positive, hype myself up, and remind myself that I have so much to be thankful for,” she continued. “I’m healthy, fully capable, and this is just an inconvenience cause things could always be worse.”

Palin then ended her message by asking her followers to send recommendations on shows to watch and “funny memes cause I’m already going stir crazzzzy.”

The former Teen Mom OG star has previously opened up on her social media about her body image from past surgeries. In March 2021, she shared a video showing off her scars from a tummy tuck she said she got years ago.

“Let’s get reeeel for a sec. I post what I want y’all to see. From decent angles… and not from insecurities/scars,” Palin wrote in the video reel.

“Here’s something I don’t share,” she continued, zooming in on her lower stomach to reveal her scars.

“Way 222 easy to compare ourselves on here, just a reminder not to,” Palin captioned the post, writing in the video: “Don’t let this place have you comparing your own worth and stealing your joy.”

She ended the clip by sharing an uplifting Bible verse from Psalm 143:8 with her followers.

At the time, Palin answered some fan questions about the surgery on her Instagram Story. During the IG chat, she revealed that her tummy tuck was done by Dr. Rose out of Corpus Christi, Texas, calling him “incredible,” according to E! News.

“It was done in early 2018,” Palin continued, according to the outlet. “I don’t regret it. But recovery was, (without a doubt) the worst pain of my entire life.”

Bristol Palin reveals 9th breast reconstruction: ‘Very self-conscious’

Bristol Palin revealed Wednesday she has undergone her ninth breast reconstruction surgery.

The Texas real estate agent, 32, snapped a photo of herself fashioned in a compression bra, complete with surgical drains, which appeared to be filling with a red fluid.

“Sharing wayyyyy [too much information] right now, but had my 9th breast reconstruction surgery last night — yes, NINTH,” Palin wrote on the photo shared to her Instagram Stories. “All stemming from a botched breast reduction I had when I was 19.”

“I’ve had previous surgeries trying to correct that initial damage of muscle tissue and terrible scarring. The whole situation has honestly made me very self-conscious my entire adult life,” she continued.

The “Teen Mom OG” star, who only appeared on the series for one season, took to Instagram to share the surgery aftermath.

While she’s “praying” the ninth time’s the charm, she’s determined to “stay positive,” all while begging for show recommendations during her recovery.

The Post reached out to Palin for comment.

She’s no stranger to cosmetic surgeries, revealing her tummy tuck scar on Instagram in 2021.

“Let’s get reeeel for a sec,” Palin said in the video. “I post what I want y’all to see…. from decent angles… and not from insecurities/scars (visible or not).”

The mom-of-three zoomed in on the incision scar on her abdomen, adding that it’s something she typically doesn’t share.

She claimed the botched surgery happened when she was just 19.

Bristol, the eldest daughter of former Alaska governor and former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, appeared on the MTV series “Teen Mom OG” in 2018 after giving birth to her son, Tripp, at the age of 18 with her then-boyfriend, Levi Johnston.

She welcomed two more children, Sailor and Atlee, with now-ex-husband Dakota Meyer.

Palin left the reality show after just one season, following her divorce from Meyer.

“Teen mom OG wasn’t a fit for me, it took away my peace.. and honestly — my peace has a price tag that no one but God can afford,” she stated on Instagram in 2019.

“$ doesn’t impress me, I don’t entertain bs, and walking away from this show allows God to rebuild me (and my little fam) in the right direction. I have love for all the girls on the show, and wish them the best of luck in all their future endeavors!!”

Gervonta Davis scores TKO as Hector Luis Garcia quits before 9th

Gervonta “Tank” Davis rocked Hector Luis Garcia with a left hand in the closing moments of Round 8, prompting the underdog to retire on his stool ahead of the ninth round Saturday in Washington, D.C.

Garcia absorbed a flurry of power shots on unsteady legs and later said, “I didn’t know where I was when he hit me with that shot. My head still hurts. I couldn’t see, but my vision is back.”

With the TKO, Davis (28-0, 26 KOs) keeps intact a planned April 15 super fight against Ryan Garcia (no relation) in Las Vegas, though that matchup isn’t yet official. Davis was ahead 79-73, 79-73 and 78-74 at the time of the stoppage.

“I was trying to beat him mentally,” said Davis, 28. “I was trying to trick him with my hands and my eyes and things like that because he’s a tough fighter. I had to bait him. … God willing, I’m ready for the fight [with Ryan Garcia]. It’s scheduled for April. He’s been training; he’s been talking.”

Davis, who is typically a slow starter, didn’t land many clean punches during the first three rounds as Garcia (16-1, 10 KOs) dictated the pace with his southpaw jab. Davis finally found his rhythm in Round 4.

The star boxer connected on a stinging counter right hand and a couple of lefts that caught Garcia’s attention in a fast-paced fourth. Garcia is a 130-pound titleholder who moved up to 135 for the career-high payday, yet he was all too willing to stand in the pocket and trade with the bigger, stronger puncher.

Davis, who is from nearby Baltimore and packed Capital One Arena with more than 19,000 fans, began to potshot Garcia in Round 5 with lead left hands. He followed up with some powerful right hands and started to truly sit down on those shots toward the end of Round 6.

“Tank” was in control in Round 8 when the fight was paused by the referee due to a dispute in the crowd at ringside. It was a highly unusually call from the official, who halted the action 58 seconds into the round, as Davis stopped fighting due to the ruckus. The action resumed after nearly a minute, and when it did, Davis finally found the fight-ending punch he was looking for.

A straight left hand immediately placed Garcia, 31, on wobbly legs. Davis capitalized with a series of blistering rights and lefts that led Garcia to retire on his stool moments later.

Davis said he was “a little surprised” Garcia didn’t come out for Round 9 “but knew he was hurt bad.”

“But he’s a fighter and he didn’t want to show it,” Davis said.

Now, Davis could move onto a 136-pound catchweight fight against Ryan Garcia that is among the biggest matchups in global boxing. But first, Davis will stand trial on Feb. 16 in Baltimore for his alleged involvement in a hit-and-run incident that took place in November 2020. Davis was accused of fleeing the scene of an accident that involved four people, including a pregnant woman. He faces 14 charges, including failure to immediately return and remain at the scene of an accident involving bodily injury.

According to the Baltimore City State Attorney’s Office, a Baltimore Circuit Court judge declined to approve a plea deal that would have avoided jail time in lieu of house arrest. The trial is expected to last two days.

Last week, Davis was arrested in South Florida after he allegedly struck a woman on the right side of her head with a “closed hand type slap,” according to police. He was charged with misdemeanor battery. Davis, who denied the allegations, referred to the woman as the mother of his daughter.

The woman later said that Davis “did not harm me or our daughter.” The arrest came 14 days after a domestic violence case was discharged stemming from a February 2020 incident where Davis was accused of striking the mother of his daughter on the campus of the University of Miami.

“I have to bring my people in close and listen to my close ones, listen to [PBC founder] Al Haymon and just stay focused,” said Davis, ESPN’s No. 3 lightweight. “There’s a lot of bumps in the road, but if we stay focused together, that’s how I’ll [maintain] longevity in the sport.”

Davis was fighting for the first time since a sixth-round TKO victory over Rolly Romero in May. Garcia, an Olympian from the Dominican Republic, broke out in 2022 with an upset win over Chris Colbert in February followed by a decision win over Roger Gutierrez in August to capture the WBA junior lightweight title. Garcia remains a titleholder at 130 pounds, where he’s rated No. 4 by ESPN.

Home sales drop for 9th month

Home sales in the United States declined for the ninth month in a row in October as surging mortgage rates and high prices pushed buyers out of the market.

Sales of existing homes — which include single-family homes, townhomes, condominiums and co-ops — were down 28.4% in October from a year ago and down 5.9% from September, according to a National Association of Realtors report released Friday. All regions of the United States saw month-over-month and year-over-year declines.

That continues a slowing trend that began in February and marks the longest streak of declining sales on record, going back to 1999.

Sales in October were at their weakest level since May 2020, when the real estate market was at a standstill during the pandemic lockdowns. Beyond that, sales last month were the weakest they have been since December 2011.

Still, home prices continued to climb last month. The median home price was $379,100 in October, up 6.6% from one year ago, according to the report. But that’s down from the record high of $413,800 in June. The price increase marks more than a decade of year-over-year monthly gains.

“More potential homebuyers were squeezed out from qualifying for a mortgage in October as mortgage rates climbed higher,” said Lawrence Yun, NAR’s chief economist. “The impact is greater in expensive areas of the country and in markets that witnessed significant home price gains in recent years.”

Many homeowners who recently bought or refinanced into ultra-low mortgage rates are reluctant to sell. That has kept inventory painfully low.

At the end of October there were 1.22 million units for sale, down less than 1% from both last month and last year, according to the report. At the current sales pace, it would take 3.3 months to get through the existing inventory, up from 3.1 months in September and 2.4 months last year. But that’s still historically low: A balanced market is a 4 to 6 month supply.

“Inventory levels are still tight, which is why some homes for sale are still receiving multiple offers,” Yun added.

While nearly a quarter of homes in October sold over the asking price, homes sitting on the market for more than 120 days saw prices reduced by about 16%.

With fewer buyers shopping for homes, the average time a home stays on the market is getting longer.

Properties were typically on the market for 21 days in October, up from 19 days in September. Pre-pandemic, homes typically sat on the market closer to 30 days. Over half the homes sold in October were on the market for less than a month.

While prices are still climbing year over year nationally, the increase is smaller than it has been over the past couple years with annual home price appreciation peaking at 24% in May 2021.

And some markets are even seeing prices drop, especially areas that saw a huge increase in home price appreciation during the pandemic, Yun said.

Half the country can expect to see prices decline year over year in the months ahead, Yun said, most will be by a modest amount, while other areas will see bigger drops. But the other half will likely see a modest increase.

“Affordable areas will hold on, places like Indianapolis, where there is job growth,” he said.

Still, Yun said, nationally, home prices are 40% higher than in October 2019, prior to the pandemic.

“Household incomes have not risen by 40%,” he said.

Those struggling to buy their first home continued to be shut out, making up only 28% of transactions last month.

“First-time buyers are really struggling with high prices, the high bar to get into the market and high mortgage rates.”

Once the hurdle to homeownership improves a bit for buyers — either with falling prices or lower mortgage rates — we could again face a housing shortage, Yun said, because the number of fresh listings coming to market is lower now than a year ago.

Current homeowners aren’t selling and homebuilders are slowing home construction, too.

October housing starts, a measure of new home construction, dropped 4.2% from September, and were down 8.8% from a year ago, according to the US Census Bureau and the US Department of Housing and Urban Development.

“This is why more new home construction is needed, as well as more rehabilitation of disused buildings into residential units,” said Yun, noting that while construction of apartment buildings remains robust, single-family starts are below one year ago and well below historical averages.

“In the meantime, mortgage rates are falling from the peak levels of last month and the gate is opening for more homebuyers to qualify for a mortgage.”

Match Preview – India vs Sri Lanka, Asia Cup 2022, 9th Match, Super Four

Big picture

One bad result is all it takes to leave a team staring at possible elimination from the Asia Cup. Pakistan faced – and overcame – that challenge after losing to India in the group stages. And now it’s India who are in a precarious position after losing to Pakistan in the Super 4 round.

Rohit Sharma’s team cannot afford to lose to Sri Lanka in Dubai on Tuesday. If they do so, the defending champions will have to rely on other results going their way to have a chance of making the final. And Sri Lanka will become favourites for a place in the summit clash.

Sri Lanka didn’t start the tournament well. They were dismissed for 105 in the opening game and then watched Afghanistan run down the target with 59 balls to spare. Since then, however, Sri Lanka have had two morale-boosting wins, chasing down 184 in a must-win group game against Bangladesh, and 176 in their first Super 4 match against Afghanistan.
Sri Lanka’s batters aren’t globe-trotting T20 superstars but a big target seems to liberate them. Against Afghanistan, Pathum Nissanka, Kusal Mendis, Danushka Gunathilaka and Bhanuka Rajapaksa smashed quick 30s to overpower Rahmanullah Gurbaz’s 45-ball 84. They may follow the same plan in a chase against India as well.
Though India lost off the penultimate ball against Pakistan, they had a couple of big positives in that game. After a first-ball duck and a 39-ball 36 in his first two innings, KL Rahul found fluency and played some gorgeous shots during his 20-ball 28. His straight whip for six off Naseem Shah was arguably the shot of the match. Virat Kohli also looked close to his best, making a “conscious effort” to score at a higher rate. While Kohli was at the crease, he scored 60 runs off 44 balls; batters at the other end scored 45 off 45.
But as far as their campaign is concerned, it’s crunch time, and India must beat Sri Lanka to stay in control of their own fate at the Asia Cup. They will draw confidence from the fact that they whitewashed them at home in the three-match T20I series earlier this year.

Form guide

Sri Lanka WWLWL (last five completed T20Is, most recent first)
India LWWWW

In the spotlight

Pakistan’s Mohammad Nawaz and Shadab Khan stifled India on Sunday, and Sri Lanka will hope their spinners Wanindu Hasaranga and Maheesh Theekshana can do the same. Both Hasaranga and Theekshana have impressive numbers in the UAE, and also have experience of bowling to the Indian batters at the IPL. On the flip side, India too will be aware of the tricks they have. All in all, it could be a contest that decides the game.

After going wicketless in India’s first two games of the Asia Cup, Yuzvendra Chahal had figures of 1 for 43 from his four overs in the Super 4 game against Pakistan. That performance was on a pitch where the other three spinners in the match had combined figures of 4 for 82 from 12 overs (economy 6.83). In the absence of Jasprit Bumrah, Harshal Patel and Ravindra Jadeja, India needed Chahal to up his game.

Pitch and conditions

The last three games in Dubai featured five innings with scores in excess of 180. However, it all depends on which pitch Tuesday’s match will be played on, and its location on the square will decide if there’s a shorter boundary for batters to exploit. Evening temperatures will be around 35°C and the night will not be much cooler, which reduces the chances of dew playing a role in the chase.

Team news

Expect Sri Lanka, searching for a hat-trick of wins, to stick with the same XI.

Sri Lanka (probable): 1 Pathum Nissanka, 2 Kusal Mendis (wk), 3 Charith Asalanka, 4 Danushka Gunathilaka, 5 Bhanuka Rajapaksa, 6 Dasun Shanaka (capt), 7 Wanindu Hasaranga, 8 Chamika Karunaratne, 9 Maheesh Theekshana, 10 Asitha Fernando, 11 Dilshan Madushanka.

With Avesh Khan available, India could return to their original combination of three specialist fast bowlers, one specialist spinner, and two allrounders. That could mean Ravi Bishnoi, despite doing well against Pakistan, making way for Axar Patel.
With Axar being a left-hand batter, and Hasaranga the only spinner with a stock ball that turns away from right-handers, India could also replace Rishabh Pant with their designated finisher Dinesh Karthik.

India (probable): 1 Rohit Sharma (capt), 2 KL Rahul, 3 Virat Kohli, 4 Suryakumar Yadav, 5 Dinesh Karthik/Rishabh Pant (wk), 6 Hardik Pandya, 7 Axar Patel, 8 Bhuvneshwar Kumar, 9 Avesh Khan, 10 Arshdeep Singh, 11 Yuzvendra Chahal

Quotes

“When it comes to Asian cricket, everyone talks about India-Pakistan games. But I don’t mind the [lack of] big talk [around our team]. I would prefer to focus on the way we are playing.”
Sri Lanka captain Dasun Shanaka is happy with his side flying under the radar

“When you are under pressure, anyone can make a mistake. It was a big match. The situation was also tight… but when the environment is good, you learn from those situations. And you look forward to the next opportunity. I give the credit to the captain and the team management for creating such an environment where everyone feels that the next time such an opportunity comes, we want to seize it.”

NASA’s Perseverance Mars rover collects 9th Red Planet sample

NASA’s Perseverance Mars rover is digging into the surface of the Red Planet on the hunt for evidence of running water in the planet’s past — and signs of ancient Mars life, if it ever existed.

Perseverance is currently exploring an ancient river delta inside  Jezero Crater and recently collected its ninth Martian rock sample not far from where it originally landed in February 2021, mission team members announced.

“Rock sample #9 is in the bag! (Well, in the tube, anyway.) My team has waited years to get up close to this river delta and see what it might say about past life on Mars. This sample may well get a one-way ticket back to Earth in the future,” the rover’s Twitter account stated (opens in new tab) Friday (July 8).

Related: Tour Mars’ Jezero Crater with this gorgeous Perseverance rover mosaic (video)

Perseverance has been exploring the 28-mile-wide (45 kilometers) Jezero Crater for over a year now in search of signs that there might have been life on Mars at some point in the planet’s ancient past. Scientists believe the crater was once home to a lake and a river delta, making it the perfect place to hunt for signs of either ancient life or water on Mars. If life ever existed on Mars, the rocks in this river delta area may display evidence of “molecular fossils” — organic molecules created by ancient living organisms.

“The delta is calling and we must go!” wrote Brad Garczynski, a student collaborator at Purdue University, on NASA’s official Perseverance blog (opens in new tab) on March 4 as the rover headed toward the delta. “If microbial life did exist here in the past, this is one of the best places to look for it, as finely layered muds may have buried and preserved a record of that microbial activity.”

A hole left by the Perseverance Mars rover as it dug up its 9th Martian rock sample. (Image credit: NASA)

To help Perseverance look for these ancient biomarkers and places where they might be hiding, the car-sized rover is equipped with 23 different cameras and a wide variety of instruments, including an X-ray fluorescence spectrometer, a ground-penetrating radar system, and the SuperCam instrument, which zaps rocks with lasers and then examines the composition of the resulting chemical vapor. A drill is installed on the end of the rover’s robotic arm, which can move with five degrees of freedom.

Perseverance also carries two onboard microphones, allowing the rover to record the sounds of Mars

Aside from the many rock samples the rover has collected, Perseverance has broken new ground by deploying Ingenuity, a small robotic helicopter that aids the rover by scouting new locations and objects of interest. Ingenuity has conducted 29 successful flight missions to date, the longest of which lasted 169.5 seconds.

If all goes according to plan, a joint NASA-European Space Agency sample-return mission will haul Perseverance’s samples back to Earth, perhaps as early as 2033.
