Notre Dame vs. Florida State score: Live game updates, college football scores, NCAA top 25 highlights

No. 9 Notre Dame leads Florida State 17-14 at halftime in Doak Campbell Stadium. It’s been a back and forth affair that’s seen both teams had the ball bounce their way — literally and figuratively — at times.

The Fighting Irish came out the gates hot with two big pass plays to tight end Michael Mayer on the first possession of the game to take a 7-0 lead. Florida State couldn’t match the intensity. With Jordan Travis starting at quarterback ahead of UCF transfer McKenzie Milton, the offensive line struggled — an all too familiar tale — on its first few possessions. Then Jashaun Corbin broke a few tackles and broke loose for an 89-yard touchdown to tie it up. The Seminoles scored again early in the second quarter to take a 14-7 lead but lost momentum with a turnover as All-American safety Kyle Hamilton came down with an interception for the Irish. Notre Dame quickly converted it into a touchdown. Jack Coan has been solid but not spectacular in his first game for Notre Dame, completing 14 of 19 passes for 160 yards and two touchdowns through the first half. Florida State’s offense has been led by Jashaun Corbin, who has rushed for 95 yards and a score.
