SUPERGIRL Wraps Its Final Season; Melissa Benoist & The Cast Bid Farewell With A Fun POWER RANGERS Homage

Six years after first soaring onto our small screens, Supergirl wrapped filming its final episode yesterday and now the countdown for the show’s series finale begins.

The series is currently on a summer hiatus, but is set to return with a brand new episode on August 24, after its sister series Superman & Lois concludes its freshman season the week prior. It will now air at 9:00 pm EST, following a brand new episode of Stargirl

To commemorate the show’s last day of filming, series star Melissa Benoist (Kara Danvers/Supergirl) shared a photo of herself with original castmates Chyler Leigh (Alex Danvers/Sentinel) and David Harewood (J’onn J’onzz/Martian Manhunter), with a message saying, “Thank you for an incredible 6 years—the cast who became family, everyone who worked on the show, all of you who watched us week after week ♥️♥️♥️ that’s a wrap on Supergirl.

There are still plenty of Girl of Steel adventures to enjoy this year as thirteen episodes have yet to air on The CW, and the series finale is tentatively scheduled to air on November 9.
